Fantastic job Soleil! I have two volunteer cedars. (arborvitae) that have come up. The one I have pruned into a lollipop shape and the other will be two rounds. The deer nibbled on the last one in the middle ish so that’s where my split will be 🌳🦌🌳. So nice! 👩🏼🌾👍🏼
Perfect Timing!!!!.....I have recently started my obsession with Topiary....now I have added an Arborvite to my list of plants I want to add to my Topiary collection....You simplified the process for me, and I now have the confidence to try to Topiary a larger plant specimen like the Arborvite.....Thank You!.....✌️💜💋
They look Awesome. Nice job I’m going to try to do one at my house. Thanks so much for showing that you can do something different. Just try too. Thanks I love your U-Tube channel.
Soleil!! You’re so brave👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I’ve wanted to try my hand at topiary 😅! I’m so doing mine😆 Thank you so much for sharing! AWESOME job! You ROCK!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
Taking your time is always a good idea. I cut back a lilac bush this spring but forgot to evaluate my cuts before moving forward. It will be a few years before it come back to the fullness I like. 😱
Fantastic job! I think I may try doing this on one of my clearance sale arborvitae I picked up recently. I’m excited to try it. Thanks for another great video as always. 👏🏼👏🏼
Hello from Kingston Ontario! Great job! I did a topiary with an overgrown globe cedar last spring and I used weights to train some of the branches to droop.. it was a fun way to rejuvenate an old shrub.and I love watching the balls sway in the wind.
You did a great job and I loved watching this! Did you take any classes in making topiaries or are you just that brave? Now I want to go out in my backyard and cut my bigger arborvitaes. I love your gardens!
I have a question, if you later decide you would need your topiary to be taller can you let it grow on top of each ball and trim the bottom of each ball upward or are you locked in to this size?
@@Suburbanoasis I found a 2’ boxwood on sale for $5, I will start with it. It’s multi trunked, this could be a challenge. Should be fun though. Thanks for the info!
I love your fearless attitude! They turned out great and make such an interesting accent in your border. Linda Vater would be proud of you!
Thank you, Karen! It was a fun project. 🙃🌿🪻🌼
The topiaries look great!!! Much easier than removing them.
Ahhh the how-to secret is out❣️

Oh my gosh Soleil, you have no fear! They look great!
Oh thank you! What's alto lose, right? 😃🌻🍀🌺
I may have had that attitude 50 years ago...not so much today 😉
Nice job Soleil! I really like that the shape of the topiary stands out now against the rest of the plantings in the surrounding garden bed.
That looks great! Such an interesting idea, and alternative to moving them. Love it!
Those turned out great! I have a sad blue point juniper in a pot that I was thinking about getting rid of, but I think I’ll give this a try instead.
Go for it! 👍🍀🌳🌼
Hello from Ohio. This is a great video. It looks so easy to do. Well you make it look easy. Love your borders.

This is a great idea! So glad i caught this vedio.
Beautiful Lady!
GOOD JOB!!! GOOD FOR YOU!! REMEMBER you are giving the plant a "haircut", if it turns bad, like hair, it will grow out again!
You did an excellent job!
Beautiful. You made that look so easy.
Thank you, Susan! 😃🪻🌷🌼

No classes, just like trying new things in the garden! 😉🌳🪴🍀
Love this and will be trying this. Is there a better time of year to do this?
Spring when new growth is emerging is a good time!
❤❤
Thanks for the tutorial. Have you ever created a spiral topiary?
I have not tried those, but mostly becauseI feel like they might look too formal for my garden. 🙃🌺🌼💐
Different point of views: I see spirals as whimsical. @@Suburbanoasis
@@rosemarythyme6351 Good call! 👍
Like Jenny from Creekside says…sisters but not twins.
Maybe they are only cousins! 😄☘️💐🌿

Never tried but would guess not since I am clipping off the leader branches. 🤔☘️🌼💮
