I wish they'd add another Sea Monster, something. I barely see both the Meg and Kraken these days and it's honestly my favorite part about being on the open seas.
I get attacked by megs all the time, but I always ignore them anyway. The kraken however seems to be much more rare recently indeed.
genuinely believe they probably will add like kraken variants in season 13 or 14
@@SereglothIV I'd trade you calm seas for the megs! I love hunting them down. But yeah, I think the Fleet of Fortune keeps the Kraken away since it's a World Event after all.
But! I do see it while I'm diving pretty often :) So I guess that's a plus!

I always see megs so maybe I have horrible luck but I see them every play session they are becoming more problematic

Yeah the gold curse was a grind back then. Three days of non stop tall tales was worth it though to me
there were two curses one that looked like the gold one but stone and the other soild stone i think one you have to earn and the other will be in season rewards

I was pleasantly surprised you cut it short and kept it sweet, not expanding on it with air or 'maybe theyre going to...' Im thinking that instead of it being 2 new separate weapons it’ll be something like dual wield daggers. Technically its 2 weapons hence the “weapon(s)”

I would assume that the new armory classes (assuming its 2 new guns) will be a non-scoped style musket and maybe a slug type blunderbuss or a multi barrel pistol. If a new blunderbuss style comes out like a slug, maybe it will have penetrating power to hit 2 entities at once?

Seems rarity is more important than having something that actually looks good although in this case yeah weapon set look pre cool I'd admit

Here is the question: Would you rather equip a cosmetic that looks cool but is easy to get, or you would you equip a cosmetic an ugly cosmetic that is hard to obtain?
That's a question I've been making myself since the days of debate between the glowing ribcage of the ashen curse vs the "played with a spray can" of the golden curse.

Since we already have 3 different guns, maybe the new weapons are 2 extra kind of swords? So we could have standard cutlasses, rapiers and heavy swords with different properties?
I have to remember, literally, every limited time cosmetics I own was never available to ps5 gamers.

Just a thought, I think rare should add some kind of world event in the eye of the storm to incentivise players to not just sail around it. It could also make for some pretty cinematic PvE battles

I would love to line rares pockets to get those new sails, title and skins but idk how it will work with an already created account.
Supposed to be cross-tracked. And since PS players will need a Microsoft account it would seem you can use your existing one to log in and continue your progress on either system because they are in the same ecosystem. I think......
As a Sea of Thieves fan, I have been pretty disappointed with the lack of content and a lack of motivation to play, but as an insider, I can say the devs have been listening and the next update is going to blow you guys away!!!

I for one didn't enjoy Adventures, did them all just for the sake of my completionist autism, but man o' man ... they all felt so ... I don't know, not BORING cus' some of them were fun, not POINTLESS since some of 'em did a great job of revealing more about the story/lore of Sea of Thieves, but whenever a new adventure came out? I wasn't happy to go through it right away ... usually I waited couple days and then just spedrun through it as much as I could :X
I just didn't see the appeal of a time-limited short story missions, but at the same time there's been a LOT of work put into them so I don't wanna diminish the work of so many people on it, I just didn't enjoy them that's all.
With Adventures gone, I hope the devs are gonna focus on other things more, meaning it's gonna be always a better and bigger surprise to see what's comin' next!
This way you'd know one of the bigger things added is gonna be an adventure and this wouldn't feed my another autistic need of discovering new things :^)
I’m confused about what new armory weapons could be? The game feels pretty well rounded.
My first thought is a Crossbow. Roughly flintlock damage, EoR reload time, but is silent when fired. Or something roughly to that effect.
Or maybe a dagger? With even faster swings than the sword but less damage. Or maybe a net projectile that temporarily immobilizes the target? Or a boomerang for infinite ammo? So many possibilities but tbh I don’t want any of them. I like the weapons balance we have now.
My guess would be a boarding axe. I couldn't tell you what it should *do* in gameplay-terms, but it would be fitting. Other historical options would be a pike with longer reach than a sword or a grenade-launcher.

Imagine if the new weapons are duel swords and duel pistols that'd be interesting
Could guild islands be a thing where you can build up your island adding things like a tavern or shop etc as you earn money and eventually leveling things up so it starts off as like ruined island and eventually starts looking to the level of port merick except more to do as a guild.

As a somewhat new-ish player, I never got to experience adventures, they sounded cool, I hope they get brought back as tall tales or legend of the veil style missions for athena's fortune.

They added a vault on port merrick with a small trinket or item from each adventure. My thought was just adding a book, and now adventures could be replayable, port merrick has a new purpose besides looks, and maybe make it so new adventure related cosmetics are available to buy from a new npc

@@mossy_2137I like that thought and hope Rare does something like that, elseway it feels like pointless time and effort setting the scene and making them interactable gone to waste for literally one scene in the last adventure meant to build up the release of the Monkey Island Tall Tales.
Crossing the fingers they do such a thing because it's a really interesting concept and gives Port Merrick another purpose

It's almost like he's a content creator and needs exposure. 😆😆 As much as I did enjoy adventures it's for the best they don't continue. I'm glad Rare has devised a means of the story continuing on to finish the bits of story that they started instead of leaving them open-ended.

Just wish they would fix the combat system by adding higher fov, new weapon switch animations and mabey a way to mantle the environment. A style like Mirrors Edge or THE FINALS. This would greatly improve the flow of movement in sot and make it so much more fun to play
They had best not make some of the most rare time limited ship sets available again. As a day one player that would turn me off the game altogether.

Cancelled adventures, stability is OUT THE WINDOW, Flameheart pushed further back, now Spackle Curse. What are the devs smoking
They canceled adventures because it was a waste of development time to constantly pump out content that stays in the game for 2 weeks. This means they can go back to making quality tall tales that stay in the game, and they will still have live event decision makers in future. Nobody said flameheart is being pushed back, they said 2024. One of the most requested features alongside new biomes, hit reg, new ship types, is different curses. All this is from watching the podcasts.

Curses are the future of Sea of Thieves imo. Having intricate seasonal curses with interesting questlines seem like a very good way to go. As it stands, cosmetics are the only form of progression in the game and I think most cosmetics currently obtainable in game are relatively boring and not very unique. Each season having its own theme and curse tied to the season would entice players to actually play the season. Dont have the curse just be locked behind the "level 100". Have an interesting season long questline with the curse as a reward for completing it. It will also add some sense of exclusivity and urgency.
The first thing any new Sea of Theives player asks is "Where can I get my first curse" . They are a really unique and I think having more to choose from, each with their own story, will really give Players a way to personalise their Pirate.

God, I hope it's not only a/ multiple gun(s) that they'll be adding. 3 is more than enough for the game, especially given how many variations of sword cosmetic exist without anything unique in gameplay. Or how often we see daggers.

Honestly I am SO glad adventures are getting dropped. Firstly, no more devs spending a month making a 2 week event but also, curated prewritten story content just isn't what SoT is about.
I mean, what would you rather have added to the game, a new voyage type with procedural elements allowing for a bunch of replayability, or a story mission you'll really only enjoy once and then forget about? Why do you think Season 11 took so long to make? It was because Rare decided to stop developing the game so they could work on a 5+ hour long 3D adaptation of a point and click adventure game that wasn't in any way plot relevant nor did it have any features that could be brought to the main game.
