  • This was the final pine at this job-site, and the easiest by far. I rigged down the branches that needed it, and then after bombing out a good sized top sent the wood all down into the yard.

      He uses tree gaffs.

      Tree gaffs for coniferous trees, Pole gaffs are unusable in coniferous but are great for deciduous tree which generally have way thinner bark, with less penetration the more you're pivoting on tree gaffs which messes up your knees in the long run.

      Tree gaffs, it let's me get more life out of the spikes before I need to get another set.
