Every gun is lipo ready. You can run a7.4 and it wont burn out your contacts. You need the mosfet for an 11.1 though. When i got my first gun, i also bought a lipo and smart charger. That was evike's recommendation. I made sure the the smart charger supports both nihm and lipo so i can still use the nihm as a backup until i can get a few more. My field is semi only so rof doesnt matter but it is nice to have a fun switch. Wll thats what the g&g fightlite mcr replica is for. Its much easier to carry than a m249 although it would be cool to walk in and say "remember no russian and full auto everyone" like in mw2 (thats the gun you had in that mission).
That was helpful. Thanks a lot. I think you guys are the most under-rated youtubers. You guys are probably the best guides for beginners. Those puns btw oh man 👌👌👌👌
This video is great but, LiPo stands for Lithium Polymer not Lithium Ion Polymer. Thats why there is both LiPo and Lion batteries. Other than that the video is great and super useful
For anyone who doesn’t know. Lipo is only an upgrade if you plan on being a fully auto fanatic. If u plan to be semi auto only like me A Lipo is not an upgrade or downgrade. Of course most ppl are fully auto fanatics so they have Lipos and highly recommend them.
Is it ok that i have a auto stop charger that is just like a simple charger with a light that activates trickle charge? For my nimhs I havent used it yet
My only question is, how long can a Lipo sit on the side before it's useless? I don't use it much, how often do I have to charge it to make sure it doesn't die in storage?
You always want to avoid charging any battery unsupervised, but in general most decent quality chargers will have an automatic cut-off. You never want to leave a battery hooked up to a charger longer than it needs to be.
Upgrading batteries does actually in fact raise fps lol, it's not a big jump, but a 7.4v compared to an 11v, the fps actually krept up by about 5 fps. Noticed this on my own research too, like I said nothing major, but it does somewhat effect fps. The science? I assume it's to do with the speed of the piston, I.e: an under arm throw at an object wouldn't necessarily damage it, whereas if you over arm threw it, fast as you could, it would do considerably more damage, same arm different speeds - Bruce Lee once said "speed is power" :) it makes sense
If I understood this video correctly, any Airsoft replica can work perfectly with a NIMH battery instead of a LIPO, albeit a bit sluggish with a 8.4 volt. Good to know, I guess I'll stick with a 9.6 volt NIMH, since I'm a bit careless. Thanks.
Though not as sensitive as lipo, nimh batteries should still be stored with charge inside, and they do lose charge over time. Check this out: www.thomasdistributing.com/Battery-and-Charger-FAQs_ep_46-1.html
The reason deans is better than tamiya is less resistance, if you use an adapter, the resistance from the tamiya connector is still there. Nothing wrong with it, you just arent fixing the problem.
I recently bought a Krytac LVOA, its recommend 9.6v 1600mAh Butterfly Type but I need something smaller to fit in a another stock. What would you guys recommend? Edit: Plug Type - Small Tamiya
Hey Steve, a 7.4v lipo would give you the same amount of power roughly as a 9.6v. Just make sure you verse yourself in lipo safe use and how to maintain them
@@PatRiot- There's no such thing as "too high C rating", the C rating simply implies how much current you can safely PULL from the battery. It's running the gun at a higher voltage and/or ROF that will kill the internals. Yes, you can spare the internals by deliberately using an under powered battery, but then the battery will have a shorter lifespan and can worst case scenario over heat and do bad things. A high C rating doesn't necessarily imply high performance, the internal resistance of the battery is a much better way to determine if it's a good battery, the lower the better.
Stainless One I use a CM16 Raider and a 9.6 nickel works well for me if your not sure check TorontoAirsoft the battery and charger that can be used is usually there as a recommended product after clicking on the item and scrolling down
depends on the mah rating, the efficiency of the gun, the weather that day, how much you tend to pull the trigger etc. 1000 mah should be good for 1000 to 2000 shots but its a VERY rough estimate. Best to bring a spare.
You're taking it out of context, we said for most non mosfet stock aeg's you'll shred your gears burn your trigger contacts with an 11.1. Is that not true?
@@torontoairsoft6036 Hi. I just bought a m4 keymod loudner/silencer. I am wondering if i should get a lipo battery or a 9,9 life. Also should i upgrade my gearbox to use 11,1v lipos?

This is top quality content guys. Production quality is amazing. Well done. Thanks for the info, so easy to understand.
Pfft, not supposed to leave my house, I sleep with my batteries charging the night before I go airsofting.... Oh, my house is on fire, one sec
Madbros Gaming lol 😂 I do the exact same
Those puns nearly induced a headache.
Will try harder to actually induce that headache... nearly just isn’t good enough!
finally, some puns that aren't cringy 😂
I’ll try harder to make you cringe :)
Congrats on 1000+ subs, your maH must be proud.
simple enough to understand,a lot of tech talk out there about lipos just started using them recently.
The puns were hard. The info ... was not! Much appreciated guys!
Congrats from Brasil for the video !

E and c brand can we use 11 volts lipo battery...pls answer
E&C's have no MOSFET, so 11.1's are a no-go. You'll eventually kill your trigger contacts.
Very clear and informative video thanks! :)
Is it ok that i have a auto stop charger that is just like a simple charger with a light that activates trickle charge? For my nimhs
I havent used it yet
My proline Lancer tactical comes with a gen 2 gear box and a MOSFET. Will the 11.1v lipo work fine or will i have more wear and tear?
LiPo is great and all but I’d rather have a working battery I don’t need to care too much about than a dead LiPo :P
My only question is, how long can a Lipo sit on the side before it's useless? I don't use it much, how often do I have to charge it to make sure it doesn't die in storage?
Maybe once every couple years if it's a healthy li-po, they hold their charge very well.
so if i were to put a lipo into my G&G GEC36,i should probably upgrade everything else first?
Do the guns need specific batteries sorry im new to airsoft
So do I have to be cautious about over charging a nickel battery or can I leave it charging while I sleep or something like that?
You always want to avoid charging any battery unsupervised, but in general most decent quality chargers will have an automatic cut-off. You never want to leave a battery hooked up to a charger longer than it needs to be.

How can 7.4 lipo equate to 9.6 nihm I though volts were volts

how many hours ta charge a stock battery and a lipo battery 2000mah? tnx

I've always preferred the snappiness of a 9.6 in my AKs over my 7.4s.
Are lithium ion batteries the same as a lipo?
Yes, lipo is just a short name for them
No:
Lithium Ion are "Lion"
Lithium Polymer are "Lipo" for short.
ion batteries are solid blocks
polymer batteries are stacks of sheets
How many shots can you get roughly.. With one battery.. If you couldn't tell um new to airsoft
full charge using nimh battery, 1100mah, can fire 3 full magazine of 300 BBs per mag. or shall we say 1,00 BBs
One like just for the last 10 sec of the vid
Can I replace battery Nimh with lipo for a mini dv cam same volt!
Should I charge Nimh batteries before I put them away for a week or more or should I leave it dead and then charge it before the game?

i use the Nuprol 7.4V 1200mah mini type its amazing for fitting in stock
P.s.....doo a video about the "C" rating...also...talk about li-ons

I'm thinking of buying a 11.1v 1000maH LiPo for my Ares rifle, but it has a MOSFET installed. Will it kill my gun?
They advertise that it can handle the power, but I still wouldn't go crazy with full auto. Semi you should be ok.

@@Selig2236 any updates on wear an tear?
@@SkylineFinesse So far so good, no issues
i own a cybergun p90. rate of fire with th 9,6 volt battery is good, trigger response is terrible, lipo makes it a little less terrible
What about Li-ion
What battery would you recommend for a CM16 SRL? (PS. I'm a complete noob)
Stainless One I use a CM16 Raider and a 9.6 nickel works well for me if your not sure check TorontoAirsoft the battery and charger that can be used is usually there as a recommended product after clicking on the item and scrolling down
In short buy a LIPO ( Lithium Ion Polymer ). It’s also used in almost all modern devices ( Laptops, mobiles, power banks, etc. )
Other devices use lion, not lipo, big wrong

Although NiMH batteries are more “dummy proof”
How do u tell 2cell from 3cell
Every time I hear LiPo, I think of the guy who put uninsulated spade connectors on his battery
Gotta love the puns at the end
Dam pretty good puns
It's bad if your lipo dies completely, right?
Depending on how bad it got, it may be salvaged. Try to avoid draining it completely though.
Would a 7.4. V Lipo last me an 8hr day

Red,White and igloo...
hm in fact it doesnt matter if you use nihm batteries or lipo's , wth
Get the vest AND the charger!
Those puns🤣
If you run a 7.4 lipo you don't need to do anything to your gun. If you're 11.1 then you need a mosfet.
thank you
Get urself a lipo and ur good forever
Thumbs up for the shitty puns.
What puns aren’t shitty?
Phones usually are lithium ion
The PUNs.... LOL
Those puns...
I clicked on this thinking this was about rc car battery’s
Titan li-ions.....accept no substitutes
Li po? HA!!! Just run a Li ion. Everything Li po, but you can run it to dead with no worries
