in season 1 of soa, when they have to kill a young woman and they cant, happy said " i can do it , bro!" from then on i knew happy was down 10 toes no matter what. dude was a great character and the actor who plays him was nothing short of amazing!
So in hindsight, we know that EZ never forgave Happy and likely always planned to take revenge down the line. This war against the Sons was probably a massive unexpected, but welcome surprise.
one plothole i got, we see in season 1 ez was doing his time in stockton, in that flashback was gemma, timeline wise that had to be when samcro got back from belfast, she was visiting clay &/or jax, tig, bobby, juice & happy were all serving time as well & ez got a glimpse of happy in the season 1 finale flashback after happy killed his mom i wouldve thought ez wouldve seen happy on the yard in stockton… unless he was in PC or the hole for alot of his time samcro was locked up cuz we do see in season 4 he had a rough time before linking up w/ aj getting beat up by the blacks n when that usually happens they try to isolate guys that that happens to.
Not only that but if I’m not mistaken by the end of season 3 Happy is already patched into Samcro whereas in the flashback it shows him still as a nomad working as a hit man so if he wasn’t in Samcro yet during the flashback I guess the prison scene is way before the Sons got locked up at the end of season 3 but like you said it’s definitely a plot hole I never noticed before
If you look at the SOA wall in season 1 everybody has a mugshot before they get locked up for anything we actually see them so in the series. It could have been anyone at any point. Hell it could have been right after Otto got locked up

So EZ clearly never actually forgave Happy and only needed him alive to get the Cartel hit info from Packer. Anyone else feel this war on the Sons is just EZ’s personal war to destroy everything Happy holds dear? Namely ripping apart his entire crew.
This was a damn good episode. You actually got to see Happy stripped of his usual composure on a more vulnerable level.
