The problem I have with modern electronic modules is the inability to get datasheets on many if not most of the chips used. Do you have any resources for automotive chips, the manufactures seem to supply data for the very latest but not the older ones which is what tends to be used in faulty modules.
The sealant is Sikaflex 227 goes on like RTV but when dry stays flexible. The black knob is not for moisture it for atmospheric pressure, barometric (air pressure) pressure sensor is built on the circuit board.
Hello, and thank you for the video, it’s excellent and informative. I have a 2012 Volkswagen, the multimedia radio, the interior light and the sunroof no longer work but everything else works perfectly. The diagnosis tells me there is a control module fault with the code: 1048642. How can I repair this fault? Is it the soft out The hardware that is at fault? Thanks a lot for your help.
Start with the basics like checking fuses and resetting control modules. If those steps don't work, consider software updates and, if necessary, professional assistance for control module replacement. Remember to prioritize safety and consult with a qualified mechanic to ensure a proper and lasting repair. Good luck with getting your Volkswagen back in working order..
Heat the edges of the case with a heat gun and use ecu cover extractor tool to remove the cover. Makes the job a lot easier without destroying the ecu case
If the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is not coming out of the ground to reach the starter relay, it suggests a possible issue with the ECU's connection or wiring. The cost of resolving this problem can vary depending on the specific circumstances and the extent of the repair required. It is best to consult a qualified mechanic or automotive technician to assess the situation and provide an accurate cost estimate for diagnosing and fixing the issue.
If your 1999 Honda Civic is experiencing RPM fluctuations despite replacing the IAC valve, there are several other potential culprits to investigate. Check for vacuum leaks, clean the throttle body, and ensure proper idle speed adjustment. Also, inspect the TPS and MAF sensors, the fuel system, electrical connections, throttle cable (if applicable), and exhaust system for issues. Verify engine timing as well. If the problem persists, seek professional diagnosis and repair to restore a stable idle and RPM.
What a ripoff, you've just taken Voltlog's video and narrated over it, but pretty much said exactly the same things, didn't even add anything new. I wonder if your channel is full of this kind of practices...
Had endless problems with these electronic crap they use on modern cars. And if there is a problem then the greediness of us humans come out.For the price of an ecu or even some sensors you can buy a new car.
Thanks for your on explain the ECU
Glad to help
I want to learn ECU repair. What do you recommend for the devices I should use? Thanks

The vent is not for condensation. It's for the barometric sensor
Ecu with all its glory.... Amazing 😊
Thank you for the great explanation, it made our understanding much easier.
Nothing better than the old school.

So you don't know which component does what. Except for a diode and caps. Thanks for the explanation.
what if the ecu does not want to go out of the ground to the relay of the starter?
What is thr cost?
