Just signed up for Microsoft Teams and been trying to figure out why all these various features don't work in channels, meet now, etc. Seeing that this video was posted 9 months ago, and many of the same issues exist, I don't think they'll be remedied any time soon. By far the best video I've found on the internet that explains these various items that still seem to be largely undocumented. Some more is out there on forums and such, especially the integration with various channels and apps, but a lot of nuances to get this to fit a variety of applications.
It is really frustrating the documentation regarding feature availabilities in channels, especially for premium, add-on, products. As a general rule of thumb, assume anything new will not work in a channel, but MS could just add this to their support pages.
This vide is exactly what I was looking for, as I am trying to make a decision on buying Teams premium ahead of a meeting I am coordinating. I never used AI note taking functions on Teams/Zoom so this video is helping me understand the limitations/quirks

Agree! It is well overly complicated to know if it is setup properly. Have already had a few meetings thinking it was set up correctly but were missing Transcription or Recording being on. Then the whole meeting recap notes were lost. Sigh.

Argh! I thought the tasks were going to be generated in a 'task flavoured loop component', and would therefore link to Tasks by Planner and ToDo?! Agree that Channel meetings are the poor relation. Don't understand why it lags behind standard meetings so much (e.g. Why don't we have loop in channels yet?). Also, I'm not getting the recap in my M365 feed (and I don't have Premium).
Yeah a loop component would make sense, especially as this is being used in collaborative notes (video coming out soon)
Interesting that you are not getting recap in the M365 feed now; maybe this was a bug for a little while.
Do you think you will invest in Teams Premium even with the downsides?
@@MeeTime trying to get hold of a small number of licenses. However, they’ll be used to leverage the webinar features it offers. Not sure how much meeting recap features will be used.
