Just discovered James Fadiman - he is the real deal! Best explanation and articulation of psychedelics yets encountered by myself, been studying the issue for 2 years now. I think this fellow is the number one source of information I have found....
awesome interview. it's nice having practical, scientific-protocol-based researchers like Fadiman to compliment the gorgeous speculative philosophies of guys like McKenna
"This Is It! This Is It!" Those were the words (the title of Alan Watts' collection of essays) on top of some acid, that made me a Buddha; that was way back in 1971, at the age of 19. I know to this day, it's still "IT," whether I'm aware of it or not. Call it "the Tao," or "Brahma," or "IT" -- doesn't matter; remember that the Taoists called it: "That which can't be named." Call it "dog shit"; doesn't matter. Trying to explain it is like, "Trying to point to your fingertip."
***** It's not about forcing God to reveal. It's about assisting in the peeling away of garbage that the individual Soul has gathered over time.. thus revealing what is always present For instance, if you go look at the research (maps.org), you'll see that there are numerous therapeutic benefits associated with the proper use of psychedelics.. And by my rationale, if there is a God, s/he put these tools here for man to use to benefit himself and his civilization (see stoned ape theory)
God is everywhere, including nowhere. Like the singularity birthing the universe. Like the emptiness below the planck scale. Like the singularity behind the event horizon of a black hole.
God does not live in Intoxicants, and no intoxication can force God to reveal himself in humans. In order to show to humans that he exists and that humans are accountable to him and his Son Jesus, God can occasionally reveal his and his Son's Spirit in humans along an intoxication process, but if humans despite having experienced God and Jesus do not repent and become true Christians, they can not feel God anymore no matter how much they intoxicate themselves. There are all kinds of lies about spiritual experiences, so do not let yourself be deceived by falsely spiritual people, and more about what the connection between spirituality and intoxicants truly is you can read in the introduction of my channel's playlist 'Wisely used intoxicants are a gift of God'.
Daniel Laminen I do not like your way of expression, but for the sake of others who read my comment I can reply. If you by "ego" mean being subjective, then you too are an "ego". Everyone is an "ego", but that does not mean that there is no absolute truth, and how do you know that my "ego" is not telling the truth? If you do not want there to be an absolute truth, it means that you want everyone to be an "ego", and if you want everyone to be an "ego", there is no sense in your criticizing another "ego" for being an "ego".
***** we are god bible says that jesus said it, every religion points it out. but ur ego makes you think your religion is always right and all others are false faiths. gtfo
Daniel Laminen Your religion is that every religion except mine is OK and that therefore my religion should shut up, right? What you in other words are saying is that your religion is true and my is false, which is exactly the same thing as when I say that my religion is true and your is false, so in which way is your "ego" better than mine? Besides, you do not know anything about my religion. You are just making assumptions based on your prejudices about Christianity. If you want to know what my concept of Christianity is, google: mikilavush Google+ and then click on each of the three parts of MY CHRISTIAN CONFESSION.

I really like this. It's a unbiased look at proper use of psychedelics.

But do explain.
@Mike Knight -- No "If".
@@TheImpliedbodyman -- That would take forever and ever and ever . . .
But it would be something to do: keep IT from getting bored.
So.....where do i find the second topic interview?
Everything is consciousness,
Including nothing.

God is everywhere and in everything or there would be nothing. So mikilavush's argument is suspect.
