Am i the only one who notices the significance of Pete Ray Biggins playing for Chaka Khan!..
Ok i'll say it as this woman knew who could play drums reason & who were the best to greatest drummers were because she was an amazing drummer in her own right & like Stevie Wonder she wasnt just an amazing singer at the highest level but i always loved seeing Chaka playing on the drums & yes it was a rare sight but when you did you saw one of the trail blazers that showed other females could play drums or any instrument within a predominantly male orientated business...
What a voice what an influence & what a woman for conquering her addiction to drugs & alcohol & this is taken into account she was diabetic...
It takes a very strong person to go through what she did & come out the other end alive & not just another sad statistic of an amazing performer taken away too soon but she keeps taking it one day at a time & it woulf be great to she her back on the road again & though she is i cant make due to my ill health but for all those that can then i say go & say this lady live as there sre any real true gems left from chaka's time as a solo artist & this could be her last tour...
I hope she has a terrific time with the tour & her health isn't affected as people forget how hectic these tours can be & why many in the music industry took drugs as theyd play one venue at night leave to go to the airport tl find out they are a completely different time zone & the worse were those that were hours behind the time you left but lets get real all solo acts & bands had to deal with the nightmare of different time zones yet the fan's or just onlookers wonder why they took drugs , as they eithrr needed something to help them sleep until or they needed something to keep them up on their feet for the next show...
This and too many reasons i cant write are why the Music Industry was always known as the worst & hardest industry to work in Once You Made It & its insane constant demands on solo act's & band's claimed many more lives that any other artistic medium...
In light of this still ongoing coronavirus and its variants stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world...
    " Respect & Peace "
