@@artnavarro3076 That’s awesome thank you so much ❤️🙏🏻 We love to know where people are watching from.
I saved San Miguel as a place I wanna visit. There's a good reason why certain places are expensive to live! You're having the adventure of a life time... nice and slow. Love you guys!
@@hornz5 It’s a charming city that everyone should visit. It is fun to pretend we live in all these great places as we pass through.
I have been enjoying your videos and seeing your sweet faces. So happy you’re having this wonderful adventure. San Miguel has changed a lot in the last 58 years since I’ve been there.
Bob and I went maybe about 12 or 15 years ago and we were there for a festival where they fill empty eggshells with confetti and all around the Jardin kids and adults both were smashing the eggs over peoples heads. Bob really got into the spirit of it. The next morning it was being cleaned up to its pristine beautiful place. 🥰
@@pvbobeannie It is such a beautiful place to visit. It would have been so easy to stay there for months but we had to keep moving. We would have loved to be there 15 years ago. I can see why so many people retire there or have a second home. It has gotten so popular and expensive now. We have noticed the mexican people really take pride in keeping the streets and sidewalks clean in front of their homes and businesses. We hope you are doing well Jeannie ❤️
This was AMAZING! New Orleans has nothing on San Miguel de Allende. The history behind those beautiful buildings must really be a story of their own. I am lost for words. I had never heard of the city till today.
@@christopherneil988 San Miguel was spectacular. We have yet to see a place that rivals its beauty. I learned about it one year ago but I wish I discovered it 15 years ago.
I ‘ve lived here 20 years. It is special.

Smelling good ❤
@@mitchsmith1268 Everyone that lives here smells so good! When you walk down the sidewalk each person you pass is wearing cologne or perfume and it’s delightful.
Remember all the popular kids in school? Everyone so envious of them. But if you look at their lives now its normally a 9-5 job, a hobbie, For some adventure they like getting drunk on the weekends, yelling at football and or grilling out in the back yard in the same town they were in when they were young. Then they get bored, Grow apart as a couple. Start missing adventure enough to make themselves believe that it can be obtained with someone other than their spouses. And the rest is the typical outcome we see far too much. Thats not whats going to happen in both our families.. Lets be thankful that god seen fit to clear that image from our eyes , This life isnt forever. Its bitter sweet. Up to us to make sure we put enough sugar in it. Ill have a vid ready in a week or so. great show u2.. Blessings from the swamp

@@wranglerastro596 I hear you but please convince me I don’t eat mushrooms for the fact that they grow in filth, I have passed by chicken coops and the smell is staggering from a mile away. I am not convinced one could clean chicken feet enough to make a difference.
Never crashed a wedding but crashed a funeral in the Copper Canyon

I stumbled across a Buddhist wedding once in Pohang, South Korea. Stood outside the gate wondering what was going on when a Monk came over and invited me in. His act of kindness started my love affair with observing different cultures. Since that time (40 years ago) I've made it a habit to get off the beaten path and mingle with the locals and found that we're all different but yet the same. As for chicken feet you bite the toe off at the joint, don't eat that part. Chew the skin and suck the cartilage off the bone. Now you can eat the pad. Do it the same way chew the skin suck the cartilage off the bone. Tried it once but was not my cup of tea.
@@EddH64 It sure is refreshing to experience the kindness of complete strangers in foreign countries! I can see how that would fuel one’s desire to travel the world. As for the chicken feet I’m with you not sure if that’s my cup of tea either.
I've never been to San Miguel, looks amazing, thank you for bringing me along. And yes, I have eaten chicken feet. Not in Mexico but in China. They sell them deep fried as street food, the "meat" is gelatinous and you can crunch and eat the bones. Not bad, but not my favourite. Sometimes you got to try, you know. Other things sold were fried scorpions as well as various other insects, so chicken feet was tame compared to other things they sold. Again, wonderful video and editing. Great job.
chicken feet is just an excuse to suck the marinade that is cooked in.
@@ohrosberg I would be more willing to trying them deep fried. Soaking in a 5 gallon bucket of water is a hard no for me. San Miguel was a great place to visit. It was a food lovers paradise and a shopaholic dream. We’re glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🏻🙂

@@alg109 That’s a great plan. Get your feet wet and test the waters then go from there. 👍🏼
Chicken feet? Yah, NO thanks.
San Miguel seems almost like an original or authentic version of Vegas -- certainly when it rained, it reminded me of the rain and flooded streets I've seen in LasVegas, all inside of fifteen or twenty minutes. Places that are typically so dry usually aren't good at dealing with sudden downpours.
Looked like a very nice wedding celebration you got wound up in!
Cheers!...from North Vancouver
@@adriankung1625 That was the response of most. It must be an acquired taste. 🤷🏻♂️ The architecture and charm in Sam Miguel was unmatched anywhere we have been. It was definitely fun to crash the wedding a little bit. I guess we were in the right place at the right time. The rain has been wonderful. Such a nice change. Cheers Adrian 🇲🇽
Great video, love the city and culture.
I'm not a lover for chicken nails either. lol
@@peterrubin643 There are certain things I can’t bring myself to eat. Chicken feet is definitely one of them. Thanks for watching Peter.
Almost all street tacos are meat yet you want to make sure you know what kind. The cafe is just coffees, teas and the gelato. I think they might want to serve food too. The bigger section is a great work space.
@@rickemmerich1 My favorite street tacos are Al Pastor. I could eat those every day. AuBrey is not a big fan. She absolutely loved that café and grocery store. I think that was the main reason for her saying she wanted to move there.
We arrived here in SMA from PA 5 weeks ago…my husband and I got cdiff 5 days after we got here….had to be hospitalized. Still getting better…we’re off to Puerto Vallarta next week. San Miguel is ruined for us to say the least.
@@rheannonbenton That is absolutely horrible! We’re glad to hear you and your husband are getting better. Hopefully your trip to Puerto Vallarta is great. We could see how San Miguel will be forever ruined in your eyes.
Hi guys, Great photography! I was wondering where you able to park your rig while you were there and how you got around? City Market is outside of centro
@@julietschida9114 Hey Julie we stayed at San Miguel RV park for a few nights and we also camped on some side streets. We parked on side streets out of the Centro district and we walked everywhere sometimes 5 or 6 miles a day. 😀
I haven't been spending any extra money since Covid started because I knew that the economy was going to go south pretty soon but it's taken until now to start declining enough where most everyone can see. Anyways, instead of spending that money, I've invested it into physical silver where I'm pretty sure that it will skyrocket in price more than it has already. Silver has tripled in value since March of 2020 and I believe that it will greatly out preform gold in percentage gains within the next five years. Gold has gained $1,000 in that time which is way less than doubling. Silver has done much better in other words. That's when I'm going to get a boat and start traveling.
@@robertlaird6746 That’s awesome. I haven’t been keeping track of gold or silver super smart though make your money work for you. 👍🏼
@@BarelySqueakinBy Get some and have a family member that you trust hold it for you during your travels. Since 2020, the USD has declined in value 25%. Silver has grown in value since then and has exceeded inflation.

Unless you've already seen bullfights in person, you'd do well to see the arenas while they are empty. Unlike TV and/or the movies, bullfighting tends to be a bit bloody and never ends well for the bull.
@@nadiemequire We are going to stick with that. I tried to explain that to AuBrey without being too graphic. She does not understand the reality of the situation.
LOL, I know the 17 year old bangin' those drums. Of course when you look at prices to buy IN Centro, you will see those high price tags. You want a place for 200k to 400k in ither arwas, no problem and less than many places in the US. The monthly rental I am searching for now us so lowI won't even print it here. Enjoy your travels.
@@rickemmerich1 The timing was perfect for him to start playing the drums. We laughed so hard. It was almost like he knew we were videoing so he started banging on the drums to get us to stop. 😂 It would’ve been nice to buy a place there 8 or 10 years ago.
Hard pass on the chicken feet as well. The first time I was at the La Penita market and I saw whole chickens, cleaned and ready to cook, being kept in fish aquariums in the hot sun, just kind of broiling in their own chicken sweat kept me from eating chicken for about 3 years LOL
@@wadepoloway Chickens are pretty gross. I love the taste of them but, I would say they are one of the nastiest animals we eat.
Chicken feet i remember eat them with salsa valentina when i was a kid ..they are on vinager and spices
@@Supra-p6z I just can’t get over how they look. Do you stick eat them?
Yeah they look wierd 😄 is like eating a chicken wing you eat just the skin and chicken meat
@@Supra-p6z Chicken wings I can get down with. 😍
Happy Sunday folks 😀. Ok I'm with you on the chicken feet fiasco 😂. A lot of people don't eat swine because they say they are filthy animals, that may well be the case ... but here's a fun fact for ya ' . Did you know chickens have no bladders ? That equates to them emanating their urine through the pores in their skin . In layman's terms ( Urine. Like almost all birds, the domestic fowl does not have a bladder as is found in most mammals and amphibians. The urine leaves the ureters and enters the cloaca where it is moved by reverse peristalsis into the large intestine, which permits excess water to be re-absorbed before elimination. ) So most people love the crispy skin ? 😂😂😂... Food for thought . 😂😂😂 One more fun fact about opossums. They don't faint deliberately, But if it is surprised by a predator, it will enter a catatonic state. It basically faints and is in a state of unconsciousness. The opossum has no control over this; it's involuntary. It does indeed appear if the opossum is dead. I know Aubrey possesses olfactophilia, so the perfume shop must have been heaven on earth ❤
@@born2wander2 Wow thanks for those fun facts John. I swear the more I learn about chickens the less I want to eat them. I guess that goes for any farm raised animals. It’s easier to not know all the details. 😂 We both really enjoyed the perfume shop. It’s funny we will be walking down the street and AuBrey will turn to me and say that guy smells so good.

Ok , I just finished your video. I feel compelled to say that slaughtering animals for sport is cruel / machismo follies. First of all the bulls are heavily sedated which affects their motor skills and vision . So going in , the bull NEVER had a sporting chance . It's a sad fact of life that such atrocities still exist . I understand the cycle of life , how certain animals are sacrificed for food , but for sport . No thanks, I strongly disagree. There are other forms of entertainment people can get their pastimes. Hey , why stop at the bulls ? Why not revert to the Gladiator games and throw a couple warriors into the arena ? Ya' see how preposterous the whole notion is ? Just my opinion 🤷.
@@born2wander2 AuBrey would never go to one of these events. She has seen the bullfighters with the red cloth dance around the bulls and I think that’s what intrigues her. She does not know the reality of what goes on. that’s why I questioned her in the video. I’ve taken her to a rodeo and all she says the whole time is “that sad”. she loves animals more than people.
