But man I'm so glad we ended up doing it. Every time we watch it we're reminded of how much we love Andalusia. It's Trey's favorite part of Europe & now that we're not too far away from January again he's REALLY starting to get the itch to go back!!🤣 I can imagine Mijas was very different back then, but I'd LOVE to go back in time & see how it was. My home was half-way between Fuengirola and Mijas Pueblo. I owned a Boutique selling all hand-made items in the Village of Mijas for seven years. It was wonderful and I miss it a lot. I can see you went to a Restaurant that did not serve Spanish food... There is no "J" sound in the name Mijas... ( pronounce it Mee-has). I lived there seven years and never went to the bullring. Yes, I was known as The Cat rescuer when I lived there and I had 18 cats...

I was in Mijas a few weeks ago. I agree it is beautiful. The Spanish will point out to you it is always pronounced "Meehas"

Just in case you haven't been told the j in Mijas is pronounced like all Spanish words the J sounds like an h. Jesus is pronounced hesus .....so Mihas
