I was at the Halloween show in Seattle, 1990. There was absolutely no fights between FNM and Billy Idol fans. A thousand mackerel did dump on Mike Patton from the light truss during Epic. Very hilarious. During Billy’s last song Forgot to be a lover 5 naked men in Halloween mask( Frankenstein, mummy, Bart Simpson) formed a conga line and were thrusting and shaking their penises at Billy and his band. The entire audience and his band were laughing so hard the band just stopped playing, cracking up! A sight behind stage left was the shadow of five figures running out the door with the last one having long dreadlocks, which was FNM drummer. You just had to have been there! 😂😂

Faith No More got booed off the stage when they opened for Metallica/GnR at Texas Stadium. I liked FNM and i felt bad lol. People were throwing shit up on stage. They didn't play for long.
They played entire show at Citrus Bowl in Orlando, I was 14 years old and front of stage. Time of my life ^_^
I saw that tour in Indianapolis. G n' R was atrocious. FNM and Metallica were fantastic. The cornfed fans weren't really into FNM at that show either.
I saw Limp Bizkit booed off stage when they opened for Faith No More.
Can't blame the Texans. Patton could never sing live for shit. Fnm is a studio-only band
Different from my experience seeing them in Virginia. There were a couple of boos but Faith No More quickly shut everyone up when they tore everyone's faces off playing Surprise! You're Dead. By contrast, Metallica sounded much more tired when they played their older thrash stuff at that concert.
Angel Dust is a masterpiece, but droppin' a duece in somebody's orange juice is crossing the line.

I think GNR canceled a show in Toronto on that tour because Rose was being a jerk. Another reason for Faith No More to dislike them. Angel Dust is a great record.

Hes known to shit on newer acts that arent always that bad. but he seemingly realized that and doesnt speak on other modern bands theyve never interacted with much any more.

Oh yeah, he was supposed to be the T1000. Originally the Terminator wasn't even going to be a cop. It was going to be a punk rock Terminator versus the biker Terminator. But when Robert Patrick joined, they changed the character all together. I actually think it worked out for the better.

They kinda have that. It’s the one where Anthony Kiedis kicks Faith No More off the bill at any concert, festival or tour the Chili Peppers are on. Apparently he was pretty torqued by the similarities between Mike Patton’s mannerisms and performance in the video for Epic.
That’s probably cost Faith No More at least a million bucks over the years. I’d say that’s maybe a tad vindictive to keep up over the years, but as they say, it is what it is.

Haha… chatted Mike Patton up with a crony @ a San Francisco Giants game as Patton is cruising the boardwalk in right field that goes all around the perimeter of outfield, to the GIANT 30s style Glove on the pavilion in left-center field bleachers, with a 15$ 20oz Coors Light in his hand, it was 04’ , the guy is hanging with some local band legends The Cheeseballs outa SF, ending their convo as we walked up ( long hair era ) and talked to us like we were band mates. My crony knew him but not besties by no means, but Mike was always just another guy I heard , laid back, no ego trippin.. and we talked about surfing the cliffs and sailing ( Giants stadium is right on the water in the Bay) as around 25 boats 🛥️ and small fishing boats we’re hanging in the bay behind right field waiting for a HOME RUN souvenir ball..Patton gave us 5 minutes of his time jus chopping it up like I knew him well.. never met him till then, and he just heads out off says, I gotta split guys, it was great seeing you guys again let’s get together after the Cheese show huh ? We said sounds great, we never went to see the Cheeseballs that night, I never saw Mike Patton again either, nor did I care.. just a cool experience at a cool day game, at a cool ballpark, with a couple of cool dudes jus hanging out for a brief moment in what little time we’re here.
That never happened. Mike Patton probably just shit in your overpriced Coors Light.

I’ve seen him with Faith No More and with Peeping Tom and both times he picked on people. With FNM he was constantly at Jim. With Peeping Tom he was picking on a guy in the crowd. It made me cringe, I really don’t like bullying. He might have had his reasons but I didn’t like what I saw

When I saw FNM the 1st time w Billy Idol it was awesome both bands were incredible. Then I saw FNM 2x with GnR and Metalickers and Mike mocked both bands fake sets….Mike hated all things that came w fame preferring to focus on music exclusively and was notorious for avoiding fans. Met all of FNM except Mike every-time I saw them in clubs (5 times) and all of them are such cool dudes.
Angel dust might be one of the greatest albums of all time and Mike Patton is the greatest singer the past 30 to 40 years he can sing in six octaves he has Perfect Pitch and he also can speak in five different languages and singing for them he is a genius and he's been a part of countless incredible bands that he's put together nobody's put together more projects than this dude has he is easily one of my favorite musicians of all time I love Mr Bungle I love Tomahawk I love fantomas and of course Faith No More and dead cross and peeping Tom. The new lineup of Mr Bungle is incredible with Scott Ian Dave Lombardo Trevor Dunn Mike and Trey spruance what incredible band and new album they have

I met Mike Patton at a grocery store in Los Angeles. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

When "The Real Thing" first came out, they instantly became one of my favorite bands, but over a relatively short period of time, the goofiness that seemed to be part of what they were just wasn't for me and it affected how I felt about their music and I stopped listening to them.
