    Toshiro's ice clone can't just only be used once, he said it was a trick that can only be used once against someone like Halibel because she'd see through the trick if it were used a second time on account of her being a high level opponent.

    It could be similar to Renji's bankai in a way. Zabimaru didn't allow Renji to use his bankais full potential because he wasn't fully ready to use it.
    The thing with Toshiro, the ice petals could mean something entirely different than a power down. The longer he uses it, the more in control of his power he gets. When he is able to fully control it, the petals shatter and he matures along with his bankai
    Remember Yachiru said she gave Kenpachi too much power when his arm imploded? Same with Hitsuguya when he fought Shawlong. Too much power at once. The same couldve happened with Renji if he attained Zabimarus true form before he was ready.
    That might be why they say you need time to practice with it. If you use it before you are fully ready, it could damage you or kill you. Or you could be Mayuri and just fuck with it to fit you.

      Leon3DG well renji did not even have his real bankai as in the name he used was wrong, a bit like yumichika s shikai.
      Hitsugaya s bankai was the real one but a junior version his little body can handle. Hyonrinmaru was always supposed to be very powerful, no way could a child wield this ( in the fillers Hyonrinmaru said so himself). Tellingly just before kenpachi s body was injured by the strength of his bankai

      +Aleme_Najimi Wtf are you talking about? We don't know whether Hitsugaya would have defeated Luppi or not without the assistance of the vice-captains. But seeing how he fought with Harribel, it's safe to assume he would have eventually defeated Luppi. As for Harribel, she would have stayed defeated if SHE didn't get assistance from Wonder Weiss. The only reason he lost to Bazz-B was because his bankai was taken away from him, so Toshiro had a massive disadvantage. As for Cang Du, the second Hitsugaya got his bankai back, he CASUALLY defeated Cang Du.
      So far, the only L's he's taken is from Aizen. The rest is because Hitsugaya was either at a disadvantage or that we didn't see him fight all out to see what the result would have been.
      The Hitsugaya hate is real.

    Toshiro has a bit of a temper problem, and whenever he lashed out in blind anger, it NEVER worked out well for him. True, but Ikaku's Bankai was revealed just before Toshiro's was. so I feel like that was on purpose.
      Ikaku goes on about how his Bankai has a timer before it fully awakens and can unleash it's TRUE power, and immediately afterwords, the fact that Toshiro's Bankai also has a timer is focused on? Seems a bit convenient in retrospect. Like Kubo was trying to give a hint to the audiance as to the truth of Toshiro's Bankai while also using that Arrankar's comment and Toshiro's geyser of blood as a smokescreen to make sure it wasn't too obvious a hint.

    Before and after the final battle with Aizen, Hitsugaya stated how he needed to train to get stronger and master his Bankai. But, he never confirmed that the petals were a countdown to the end of his bankai, just that it was indeed a countdown of some form.
    As for the burst of blood after the fight with the arrancar (I'm unsure how to spell his name) I feel like that would be from the petals dissipating, and him not having full control of it, causing injuries to his body. Similar to what we just saw happen to Zeraki.

    • @leiderhosen7110
      @leiderhosen7110 8 лет назад +16

      It should be basically confirmed that was the case. He released his Bankai every time the pedals got low because if they expired, the Bankai's real power would ravage his body, exactly like Ichigo and now Kenpachi.
      In a way, it WAS a countdown on how long he could use Bankai, but not in the way people thought since the pedals were RESTRAINTS, not simple indicators.I think that he intentionally mislead people into thinking that way for two reasons:
      1). It doesn't really matter anyway, after all, he has to stop using Bankai before the last pedal falls or get fried until he can catch up to his full power.
      2). Toshiro is smart. He knows better than to go blabbing to enemies that he has a higher realm of power at his disposal that he could potentially use against them, especially when he can't use it yet. It was far better to keep his mouth shut and let people believe the wrong idea while he trained, and when he did unlock it, he made sure not to use it unless he absolutely had to.

      Christopher sepulveda. Well you are correct but it kindof work the same way and make sense with the theory. He was badly injured in the fight while he is reaching the limit of his body stressed by the surging power of hyourinmaru. Thus this makes damage on him amplified.

  • @arcticbanana66
    @arcticbanana66 8 лет назад +5

    That last point makes the most sense to me, that Toshiro's training to extend the time he can stay in his bankai didn't mean he was trying to make the countdown last longer, but rather that he was trying to be able to stay in bankai long enough to _reach_ the end of the countdown.
    This all makes me think of what Stark said to Shunsui during their fight. (Paraphrased) "You just assumed that was how my power worked, I never said that you were correct."

    One thing I'd like to point out is that Hitsugaya never said Zanhyō Ningyō was a technique he could only use once, or even once per battle. He said "a trick like that is likely to only work once", meaning that he usually only gets one usage of the technique before his opponents become not only aware of its' existence, but wise to any further usage of it.

    I noticed when you brought up the countdown chapter, that Toshiro only replied to the assumption that it was a countdown. So if his Bankai fully matures at the end of the ice petals, that would be a countdown. The opponent only assumed that a countdown meant til he's done and not that he's in a warming up stage. Which makes sense since as you stated before, his Bankai at that point is simply a more powerful version of his shikai. Maybe as he gets stronger, there will be less flowers counting down allowing him to reach full Bankai at a faster rate?

  • @Sraye
    @Sraye 8 лет назад +2

    The blood spurting thing that you mentioned now further justifies his power increase and "sudden" transformation.
    See the most recent example of a bankai releasing too much energy - Kenpachi, and his arm broke off with Yachiru apologizing for releasing too much power.
    Same thing probably happened to Toshiro previously. As the petals faded, his power was getting released by Hyonimaru but back then his body couldn't handle the strain and he eventually broke with blood spraying out everywhere. Now, he finally is able to contain all the energy release from all the petals and enter second form.
    Hyonimaru is somewhat like Hōzukimaru, Ikkaku's bankai which coincidentally also has a dragon-related theme, and it required a warm up time to unleash its full strength.

  • @Natboy129
    @Natboy129 8 лет назад +14

    Well I would treat it the same way as Kenpachi's bankai, perhaps its not that the power was being restrained (Because really why would Hyorinmaru harm Toshiro to stop him from gaining power) but the power was too intense for Toshiros body to handle at that point, similar to how Kenpachis arm was blown off because the power was too much for his body. If this were the case that explains the damage he received, the sudden change and increase in reitsu was too much for him in that current state, so he had to develop his power to the point he could withstand it. We've seen the same sort of thing with Ichigos bankai that one time, where it was too much for him and he could barely move. Or perhaps its something else completely and he just had to learn how to properly transform, sort of like Rukia.

    Something to point out with Toshiro gushing blood after the fight with Shawlong is that when Kenpachi was in his bankai his arm got wrecked to shit because his body wasn't able to handle that much power from his bankai. I think ageing in the soul society works the same in the living world, it’s gradual but takes a small while as they have longer lives. With his bankai, he can only fully control it with a matured body- aka, an adult. So that’s why, I think anyway, he is an adult in bankai but his body won’t stay that way so he’ll revert back to his normal body. So you could see his bankai as a flash forward into what he might look like when he’s grown up

    How i see Toshiros ice clone is, having your enemy believe 100% they are cutting you down to the point where they start seeing things. Its the same with yoruichi when Byakuya first "cut her down" The thing about kubo is, a lot of the stuff hes put under the microscope for makes sense in one way or another, but he doesnt like to explain himself. Its like going into an art gallery where one abstract painting has annotation and another one doesnt. You'll look at the one that doesnt and say "what the fuck is this?" In regards to only being able to use the clone once, i think he meant because she was aware of it he wouldnt be able to use it effectively again. Kind of like Urahara trying to use the replacement balloons on aizen more than once. Loved the video, keep it up.

    personally i think hitsugya's "maturity" was meant to be gradual, but if u remember a year or 2 ago we got that alert saying "wrap bleach up kubo" and that it got rushed to how it is now. After all he has been pumping out new bankai's like a "its now or never" just a thought i mean with everything closing in on ichigo's final fight there wasnt much left after kenpachi we just need to see something from byukaya now

    Hey Tekking.
    I’m pretty sure that Hitsuguya did allude to his Bankai getting weaker with the disappearance of his Snow Flowers when he fought against Harribel.
    He says “But since half my ice flowers are gone, and my Bankai is in a weaker state, you could say I’m in the perfect situation to use it” when speaking about Hyouten Yakasou before he uses it. He said before he couldn’t control it and it was too risky to use before around the others in his Bankai.

    The way I'm seeing it is Toshiro is one of the youngest proper shinigami to obtain a bankai. Ichigo is a weird aberration with his pitri dish of powers and living human status. Being that young, he has an immature Bankai. Ichigo while young for a human is essentially almost fully grown, by the UK standards he's likely considered almost an adult and even then the full power of his bankai hurts him at first. Toshiro in his childlike body cannot handle the strain, so he trains and then when his reiatsu, I'm assuming, is strong enough it rushes his body's growth so that he can channel that fully matured power. If Toshiro matured slowly, got his bankai as an adult like the norm, he would have looked about the same as he does now, skipping the ice flowers entirely and having that more resilient adult body. I can go both ways on this being temporary/permanent, but we are seeing this because a shinigami is supposed to be fully grown physically to access their bankai proper. The ice flower timer, cause it is a timer, let's him know how long he has before his Bankai automatically attempts to operate at full power, they seem more like a seal in this case. His ability with Ryusenka supporting this if he could only use it reliably with half the flower seal gone.

    When it comes to his age, Toshiro is the blue turbo ranger. Normally, he's a kid, when he's in full bankai he's an adult.
    Also, with the mention of how Kenpachi's Bankai can harm him by releasing to much power I feel as though that was meant to help solidify the idea that Toshiro's bankai did damage to him when his flowers disappeared because he wasn't ready for it physically and thus, it fucked him up when he was about to fully release it. Interestingly, till he was ready it still functioned as a time limit as once it ran out, he'd basically be killed by his own power, so all of it's kinda true in a way.

    Toushiro never confirmed that when he loses his petals that he'll lose his bankai. It was Shawlong that theorized it would happen and we've believed his words ever since. Hitsugaya has always admitted that his bankai is young, imperfect and needs training. However, the reason as to why he didn't use it while fighting Harribel and Aizen is most likely because he didn't know how to control it back then. He admitted to Harribel that he was afraid of using Hyōten Hyakkasō because he didn't know how to control it and he didn't want to damage any of his team mates in the cross fire. However, after Aizen, he said that he was going to train really hard due to his failure to protect Hinamori and he was going to perfect or master his zanpaktou. Ever since then, we haven't seen him go all out in a fight and when the Quincy's arrived, they stole his bankai so he was never allowed to use it and Bazz-B almost killed him before Giselle turned him into a zombie and Mayuri put him under a drug. So it's not an ass pull at all and Kubo doesn't really need to explain it. We just need to connect the dots ourselves.

    So when toshiro's bankai fucks up his body, people assume it's because of what Shawlong stated, but when kenpachi's bankai fucks up his body, people accept it. I'm pissed about how people aren't smart enough to see that toshiro needed training, his bankai was immature, and just like kenpachi's, which released a lot of energy, ended up causing damage to himself. People claiming ass pull, simply aren't intelligent enough to see that connection, which is: Bankai way too fucking powerful, boom goes the body, train to handle that bankai, no more boom goes the body. Can I make it any more simple than that?

      I'm asking for facts from people, not shit flinging contests, which is exactly what you started, granted with my insults enraging people like you, that's not surprising. The petals are mentioned occasionally depending on the length of the battle, if they aren't mentioned at all, then it's usually because a battle either just began, or didn't last long enough to affect the petal count. If kubo does not include them in the scene, then it's usually because of one of these things, or they're not important at the moment. Are you expecting him to mention them often? Oh hey! a crack formed, now another, and another! Oh look it went away! It's so much more important than the actual battle! Of course not! He foreshadows on most occasions, and in the battle with Shawlong, toshiro never agrees with the statement about his petals disappearing, therefore his bankai disappears. View the above video for more evidence, but seeing how you're on here defending a losing argument, that was already covered in the video, I'll leave it at that. Have fun being ignorant.

    My idea on Toshiro's Bankai:
    I think Toshiro's Bankai is much like Ikkaku's Bankai, which Ikkaku's requires time to "wake up", but instead Toshiro's is more like time to "grow up" or like he said himself, "mature". So since this is his BANKAi "growing up", I highly doubt Toshiro will remain that age and will most likely revert back to being a kid once he powers down.
    Going into his potential new powers and abilities
    I think overall he won't gain a mass amount of new abilities, but his old powers might be augmented to a much higher degree, where just raising his reiatsu alone might freeze over neighboring buildings and streets, and drop the temperature well below 0 without even trying/conscious thought (similar to Rukia's Bankai maybe). I think what might end the fight would be him using one brand new technique that freezes Gerard from just the inside in Ice that doesn't melt from Toshiro just stabbing him in the body somewhere and his ice is seeping into Gerard's body, freezing him down to the cellular level because it's that damn cold or something more elaborate than that. So that way Gerard isn't harmed at all (except from the small stab wound), just forever incapacitated and frozen from the inside, being a real life statue forever and ever.
    That would be lame in my opinion, so I hope Kubo does something way more awesome and creative. If my theory does happen... then at least I get to do an "I called that shit dance" in front of my friends lol.

    I think the reason why Toshiro just spurted a massive amount of blood is the same reason why Kenpachi's arm simply imploded after going Bankai: they were practically still unable to master it. Yes Toshiro was a prodigy whom could use both shikai and bankai, however he's still technically an amateur at using it. Very much the same with Ichigo but not to the same extent. So yea so he probably continued to train with his bankai to improve himself with it.

      Rin Uchiha I think it was more due to the fact his body is basically a fifth grader s. His body can t deal with that much power like kenpachi s after he went bankai. Yachiru even said his body was not strong enough. But his 4.5 feet tall 60 pounds body wont ever be strong enough so Hyonrinmaru just forces it to maturity.

    To me this sounded like a case where it was probably heading towards it being a countdown, what with the dramatic zoom in on the Aizen-style, impassive eye that's usually reserved for when a villain gets the mental hit in, Hitsugaya's denial, and so on.
    But since it wasn't explicitly stated, Kubo decided he could just fly off in another direction with it.

If you look at his fight with Espada #3 his stamina was excellent where he kept activating and deactivating his bankai.You can look at it as because of his age he has to unlock his banksi's true form and that's what his always stated with the maturity factor.

    It's funny that many people forget that it's been stated by the first captain Yamamoto that bankais mature and most abilities that they didn't have before can manifest after a while. Hence the fight with Yhwach where Yamamoto burns a bunch of quincies to ashes with his bankai's ability. Yhwach thought that was all to his power because he'd seen it before a long time ago, only to find out that Yamamoto could control the dead bodies afterwords. It's these little vague things in the manga that makes this arc really shine to me.

    Maybe Toshiro's maturity is like a Dragon's maturity since Hyorinmaru is a dragon. There's plenty of Japanese myths where small creatures over the passage of years just become a full fledged dragon. I would also retroactively include Ichigo in the category of a Bankai that alters the person's personality since his hollowing is from his zankauto such as his fight with Byakuya. Also Toshiro trained similar to Jinzen in the anime with Ikkaku, Yumichika, and Rangiku shortly before Lupi, Yammy, and Wonderweiss shown up. Only Toshiro and Ikkaku were actually in the pose simialr to Jinzen training since I think its because they have a Bankai and a formed connection with their zanpakuto.

I think ice fairy gushed blood because his body just couldnt take all that power and he is in a childs body. The effect was probably waay worse on him than ichigo. I think over the course of the arc he increased the amount of time he could hold phase 1 of his bankai but once those petals broke it was too much and he had to release bankai immediately. Over that year time skip though i think he mastered phase 2 at some point and never had a chance to cut loose..especially fighting an unknown enemy who has the ability to steal bankai... Ice fairy got it stolen and actually got ganked by the zombie girl. He held back a lot this arc pre zombie which would explain his huge power boost fighting mayuri. When it came to Aizen, Toshiro often acted very rash and it may have reflected in his bankai.

    i think that toshiro's maturity is a lot like edward elric from fullmetal alchemist. it was thought that because of what edward did with alchemy in getting his brother back that he was somehow attached to his brother's body and it hindered his body, which caused certain side effects like shortness, eating copious amounts of food, and being able to sleep for long periods of time if allowed the time because he was technically, supplying sustenance for two. that being the case, since the wielder and the zpt are connected, toshiro's power could have been connected to his maturity in some way like that, as if hyorinmaru was keeping him from maturing too quickly. i believe that the blood (in that shawlong fight) was from exertion on toshiro's immature body and mind and was the same thing that happened to kenpachi with his bankai and the arm. it's like hyorinmaru was like 'no no, too fast'. my question is, is toshiro's body growth like kenpachi's body changes and ichigo's shihakusho? will he go back to a child? that's the real mystery...

  • @user-nm4el9sj1m
    @user-nm4el9sj1m 7 лет назад +1

    I mean, it makes sense that he'd be training his body to handle the sheer power of his bankai. There have been quite a few incidences where people with new/"immature" bankai were crushed under the power of their own bankai. Ichigo and Kenpachi for one. It's likely that until he could physically handle the strain of using his bankai, he'd be unable to access its full potential. That being said, him being forced to "age up" a little bit would make sense, since an adults body would likely handle the strain better then a child's body. The metaphorical time limit might actually refer to how long he could handle his bankai' power before it overwhelmed him. It what you're saying is right and that as each petal melts, Toshiro's bankai gets closer to maturity, then it'd also makes sense that as each petal fades, his bankai is growing stronger, and that his "limit" is his own physical body. Which can be "fixed" by growing up a bit and making himself more durable to his bankai's pressure. If that makes sense?

  • @bobbyewing311
    @bobbyewing311 8 лет назад +4

    I view it like this. He has to make a kind of sacrifice to Hyumimaru in the form of Spiritual Pressure. If he cannot sustain that length of pressure to summon him completely, ie: the ice flowers melting, the dragon turns on him and attacks him. Kinda like how Hiei's power works in Yu Yu Hakusho. Hiei has to use his own energy to summon the dragon but if he is low energy or if the dragon can take advantage of him in any way, it will devour him along with his enemy. However Hiei got to such a point that he was more powerful THAN the dragon and so when he was faced with the dragon devouring him (when Bui retured it in his own direction) Hiei was able to consume the dragon and have the power at his disposal. Perhaps the ice pedals were a WARNING system Hitsugaya Toshiro put on HIMSELF as to alert him when he is running low on the power needed to keep the ice dragon under his control. If he loses the stamina, the dragon rips him to shreds, like you saw when the ice flowers disapeared vs Sholin. However this time Toshiro was strong enough to handle it and when the ice flowers vanished this time, he was able to consume the dragon and become fully mature. Boom. Theory done it's NOT an asspull fucking KOL is just a scrub when it comes to analysis.

    I was always under the impression that Toshiro would straight up die if all the petals disappeared, and that scene pretty much backed up my belief but when i thought about it i couldn't pinpoint anything that made me think that. I don't know if it was implied at some point or i just picked it up myself and thought "oh yeah it's a count-down to death".
    I guess it could work from both sides if it were explained that his body was simply not mature enough to handle his true Bankai. So yeah it's a count-down to when his true Bankai awakens, similar to Ikkaku? but also death until he matures enough to endure it. Makes sense to me.

    In his fight against Shawlong, I believe Toshiro was using his "ice armor" to mend the badly bleeding cut Shawlong delivered to him, PRIOR to the bankai activaiton. Then, when Shawlong was defeated, Toshiro "deactivated" his bankai, since there was no more need to maintain his bankai- in other words, he intentionally ended his bankai, as opposed to he could no longer maintain his bankai due to the flower pedal countdown.

    Makes perfect sense to me. Him making it to the last petal is him reaching the full potential of his bankai and to use his full powers he has to be an adult kinda like how goku ssj4 was an adult even though he was a kid at the same time. That last sentence was probably kinda confusing but most should get it. So Toshiro reaching the last petal is him reaching his bankai's full potential and to use it he needs an adult body so it transforms him into an adult for a certain duration of time.

      as well as 10 years to learn the basic bankai. on top of that, that would place the timeline maybe a year or two before Ichigo was born. Ichigo being about 16-17 by then that places the timeframe until he matured about maybe 17-19 year time span, just enough to fit the norm. This implies that the maturity may be more of his bankai form rather than him aging due to it. And I could be mistaken but wasn't there a panel implying that he could have gone into his adult form at any time? I remember him saying something about him choosing to remain in his younger body

    Toshiro's growth probably is the most slowest...the other one was Yachiru but we know her deal now, but most captains we have seen them younger and grew up but Hitsugaya still looks almost as he was when he was third seat
    NOW ON MATURITY OF BANKAI- I was thinking since he has stunted growth , and he cant use full power of his Bankai, Hyourinmaru made the flowers to speed up the growing process in battle so he can temporarily use its full power until when he actually grows up. so as you can imagine having to be forced to grow up is a hell of a process that could have killed him if he was weak so he had to undo bankai before that happened, or something similar to his fight with Shawlong could happen...so now during the fight with Miracle he was slowly Maturing and now lets see the results of his training...

      TheMemester439 but at that time he had not mastered it so when the last flower disappear he would not have grown but either release the bankai or get injured ala kenpachi by the sheer power of his full bankai

      @@marionardailloux6553 probably. I think in the one fight were we see him lose them all when he explodes in blood, I think that's probably because his bankai had frozen his wounds.

      +Jūshirō Ukitake yeah I mean that lol I forgot the name so I figured the general term is quincy final form like uryu used in the soul society arch :3

      @Mellojoseph 8 лет назад

      +Jūshirō Ukitake one of the reasons I like uryu so much is because he has grown and developed and was a good rival for ichigo and has done a lot to contribute to the series. when ichigo died he is the one that stepped up and took and ulquiorra knowing he stood absolutely no chance against him and then even after loosing his arm and still continued to fight him like a man till be literally could not get up and once he had his strength agian he used his bare body to protect orihime as hollow ichigo delt with ulquiorra, but even before that he was the only person to take out a captain in the soul society arch and really helped develop ichigo in the early part of the series

    Toshiro's petals only show up when he's being cautious with his opponent, if you notice the skill level and the problem he has with his opponents.

    Its the same case of Kenpachi, he used his bankai to early and his body get fucking demolished for that huge power, i think Hitsugaya's bankai is too reiatsu consuming and he only mastered it now

    • @drac0nisw0lf
      @drac0nisw0lf 8 лет назад

      +Felipe Thiago I can agree with that. Also, he did take a lot of damage before the limit release, so I think it may be like what Kenpachi felt after the fight with Gremmy Thoumeaux.

    In the bleach anime, the fight with Luppi(RUclips please trust me on that spelling), he tries destroying Hitsugaya's petals to disrupt his bankai which works taking Hitsugaya out of the fight for a bit. later when Hitsugaya reenters the fight he explains that the petals represent the amount of time his bankai can create ice and that he can keep fighting past that if he has a source of water freeze to make more ice. that is my two cents, feel free to fact check it has been a few years since I saw that episode.

    • @RGA301092
      @RGA301092 4 года назад +1

      4 years late, but oh well.
      Luppi wasn't aiming for the petals, he was just attacking Hitsugaya from multiple angles, and either cracked or broke one of his wings. Hitsugaya never mentioned anything about his petals. He only mentioned that Luppi should have made sure he finished off Hitsugaya and not leave him alone for so long (which let him set up Sennen Hyoro), and that he can regenerate his Bankai as long as there is moisture in the air.

      +Richard Garcia You guys do realize, KOL made a good point in his vid, replacing Kenpachi for a Hitsu bankai that got it´s entire base concept changed, isnt good writing, but he got very hate, due to not liking hitsugaya, any hitsu fans should unsubs KOL.

    • @AnUtterMesh
      @AnUtterMesh 8 лет назад

      Final Sebas But Kubo always does this. He shifts perspective just as we almost get the answers we want. Right now Urahara is up in the air and Ichigo is non existent. Also Tekkin explains how the base concept was only made on assumptions on the part of the reade never was it definitively stated that the petals end the bankai.

    • @sebas8225

      ***** I think one of the issues with Hitsu´s bankai was also not being properly showcased before, Hitsu had lots of fights and only now, are we getting the ice flowers counting as a countdown for a power-up, in a real properly paneled fight, Kubo could´ve avoided this if he had Shawlong´s monologue being either BSed by Hitsu or at the end someone else mentioning something on his bankai. In the end it might have just been a misunderstanding due to the whole concept of his bankai never been properly explained before or due to the power-up of having it stolen. Again KOL doesnt like Hitsu and he took panel time from Kenpachi who needs more explanation on his powers as well along with the whole thing with Yachiru, which lead him to rant. Eitherway, Hitsu had lots of fights I can see why this thing wasnt brought up in certain ones, but he had multiple ones.

    Maybe Toshiro didn't know at first about his bankai being uncompleted, maybe the fact that two people had toshiro's bankai made his zanpakuto hesitant on giving him the full power. Then after training it decided he matured enough so it allowed him to reach his max potential. :3

    Maybe we will even get Rangiku Matsumoto's bankai soon (not likely but a man can dream, right?). What could that be like? An armor made of ash? A larger version of her shikai like Byakuya's bankai? With Toshiro turning into an adult and Kenpachi reaching bankai, it seems pretty much anything is possible now...

    Kenpachi's bankai doesn't alter his personality his personality is the same, he's always looking for fights, the more dificult the better, you can say he gets more agressive but that isn't changing his personality, he is already agressive and Yachiru also has that huge reiatsu so when you combine Kenpachi's already huge reiatsu and fighting desire to Yachiru's huge reitasu and her understanding of how Kenpachi is then you get a very agressive beast that will fight no matter what plus it's the first time we see Kenpachi using his Bankai, perhaps in the future, if there will be one, Kenpachi can get a better control although that would be highly unlikely because he simply doesn't care.
    Regarding Toshiro it ressembles Ikkaku's bankai, as the dragon crest turns red, he is ready to use it's full power, the same applies to Toshiro when the ice petals dissapear he gets to use his full power, however it has a cost, he grows older, does it happen everytime he uses his full power bankai? We don't know, but he says he had to age a bit in order to get his full power bankai and he also says he is not a fan of it. So could it that in order to use it now he sacrificed a few years of his life as seen he claims he had to age? Or does it mean naturaly age as in get older, train and that normal process? Most likely neither he or hyourinmaru were ready for the transformation before, so after aging a bit and training and raising his reiatsu his body became capable of handling the transformation and hyourinmaru became able to do it.

    Tekking do you think anyone else will reach the level above bankai other than Ichigo and Aizen? What I mean is Ichigo 'accepting' zangetsu fused it to his arm, and the hogyoku fused Kyōkasuigetsu to Aizens arm and Aizen said it was the final stage of a zanpakuto. Then there was the whole becoming one with a zanpakuto and its powers thing that Ichigo did for the Saigo no getsuga tenshou and Isshin and Aizen might have done

      +mvpxtomahawkzz There is no ''true'' level beyond Bankai to my understanding. Ichigo's case is unique and Aizen was using an artifact that basically made him a God. I really cannot see it TBH.

    Hitsugaya needed to master his bankai ... and when he was fighting that quincy .. i think his last petal disappeared ... and he then got injured ... but he mastered his bankai after his battle with aizen ...then kubo mentioned in an interview ... that he has mastered bankai ... and then ... this happens .
