@@1kbconstruction824 I enjoy laying small pieces for some reason I have to admit. I find it quite satisfying. I'll usually double butter to create a little suction. 😏
Keep up the good work👍i see you dont use a trowel magnet on your belt. See Charlie Collison on RUclips from uk to get more info. U will not be dissapointed. Bless.
Yo Ryan I believe you said your name is, I've watched a couple of your videos and I have to say great work. Keep it up making videos and I will keep watching. Also in Toronto. Thank you

How do you check check your lead heights ?? I use bater boars and line levels measuring down. It seems easier in the video without all those extra things in the way
Depends, you can lay brick and block in freezing temps if you tent and heat the site. But I imagine you mean avoiding all that, you have to consider the weather after your done. It has to be above freezing long enough to set, if it freezes and thaws you will have a huge mess. Mortar is mixed with water so generally you don't want to use concrete or mortar at temps water will freeze. There are additives to retard freezing as well.
From UK - nothing like nice worn in Marshall Town trowel, and some good muck. Keeps up the good work bro, excellent
If you start with a 13 5/8” on the corner then you’ll be on half bond second course if you wanna avoid the small piece.
great tips 👌
You beat me to it. I seen the video and that piece and was like wtf. 4 in block 11 5/8 puts you on half bond as well
The ol 340mm trick on the corner trick hey?

Great work, I don't miss digging holes to pour footings. I live in Maine and can relate to how miserable it can be getting beneath the frost line.
I just moved to Maine and this is my first winter... what is frost depth here if you don't mind?
In CO it was 4'...

From New York, Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Do you use any additives during cold weather seasons?
happy holiday to you and your family as well, no i don't really use any additives, if its too cold we covered up
Do you ever have issues with the mortar freezing before it cures?
i don't work if its that cold
👍👍
Reason why you didn't install rebar in the existing footing or in the block for better strength..
i did ,dont know how you did see that
Haha that looks funny. Guess it really doesn’t matter what your bond is huh
Yeah that 1/4 piece is a no no ❤️🇦🇺👍🇺🇸
I use a L-6" on the corners. You don't have cut any.
Up me genna. A we say tradesman
You got skills bro...
Whats the coldest temp you can lay block in...considering the mortar?
Also, what brand mortar do you use or so you mix your own?

28 degrees
Strick joints about every 3 to 6 block you lay in those temps
I DON'T LIKE THAT HE DIDN'T CLEAN THE OTHER OLD BROKEN STUFF INSIDE.
