      Did you ever get your business started? How is it going? I have some tire shops in Tuscaloosa and am looking to do the same and go Mobile.

    First, thanks for the very informative videos about your Tire business, experience and tips.
    I'm in Canada and thinking of starting a Mobile tire business. My question is, you went with a RAM ProMaster high roof, and you would have changed it for one with a bigger box on the same "chassis".
    Do you mean like a small cube "moving trucks type"? and still as long?

    • @fernando_h_001
      @fernando_h_001  Год назад +1

      Hey Hasnein, thanks for watching and commenting, what i meant was that I would prefer the same vehicle chasis just a bigger box on the back rather than a regular cabin. At the end of the day the more space you can get the better!

    If you already have a truck would consider doing the build in a trailer and towing it

    • @fernando_h_001

      Hello thanks for watching, I think doing a build would be more affordable than purchasing the entire Van. If i'm just starting out this would be a good choice.

      @@fernando_h_001 ya I’ve tossed around the idea of doing mobile tires for a while your series is super interesting and I’m definitely considering doing it again. I currently need own an 89 ranger and a 92 f250 so I think buying a trailer and equipment might be the route to go

    Do you think the van choice limits how well you can do field repairs or access parking garages? What kind of weight do you need to be able to haul for a full days operation?
    Great information in these videos!

    • @fernando_h_001
      @fernando_h_001  Год назад

      Hello, thanks for watching, well this depends on what type of repairs or work you are doing. In las Vegas I only was servicing regular passanger vehicles, sometimes some trucks but with some of those trucks I was not able to do them and would be a pain to seal the bead or mount in such small space.

    Would you suggest to start with a cheaper build at first and build up latter? I watched one of your videos that it failed I'm asking for a none brick and motor owner a small business starter. Love the videos learned alot.

    • @fernando_h_001
      @fernando_h_001  2 года назад +1

      This is my opinion only, if you are getting into the industry the mobile van is 1000 times better than a brick and motor store. I would also recommend you are conservative with your expense, if you got enough money buy the van but save for marketing, if you don't have much, save as much in the van, and save for some marketing (Such as visiting customers, flyers, stress balls, pens, etc.).

      @@fernando_h_001 awesome thanks for the advice the build I was thinking about will cost roughly 10k with the truck, balancer and remover/installer but not all of the tools needed. I wanted to start something like this because I live around a major interstate but in a small town we already have a brick and motor shop but you have to drive to them no one offers this service out here we have a few 32 miles away but haven't seen the running so I was looking into it but kinda scared of losing.

      @@brrttken I am having the same fear of investing, to not have it work out..... im gonna go for it, on a leap of faith. I'm more concerned with making sure I can jump thru all the legal jive in my state. And doing paperwork correctly once I start. Best of luck, hope you started your mobile business, and works well

    My question is should I build a van or a box truck? Old Truck is more reliable than a van and cheaper?

    • @fernando_h_001
      @fernando_h_001  3 года назад +1

      I think Box truck is great, more space, but it may also cost more to maintain and fuel. But I'm overall satisfied with the van.

    Hey my friend i am trying to go solar just like you i like the concept and more room so give it to me i have the tire machine and the balancer can i really use the solar Panels
    and generator patriot.

      @mrrwjackson 3 года назад +1

      I have everything else i can use a 9500w generator but i would like to go solar so if you could give me your best answer on that?

    • @fernando_h_001
      @fernando_h_001  3 года назад +1

      So as long as the machines are less than 120V it should work well, however if you require 240 V of power you would need a more powerful inverter and perhaps more batteries.

    13 THOUSAND dollars for a tire machine?!?!? you can get an extremely good one from another top brand for less than 5k, you can get a good basic one for less than 2k! I know snap-on is expensive but holy rip off! save yourself 10k by not buying snap on.

    • @fernando_h_001

      Hello DuhDuh, I agree, i think we got ourselves carried away with the company that built the van sine they only offered these machines, but they are quite pricey.

    is a franchise better

    • @fernando_h_001
      @fernando_h_001  Год назад

      This is a great question, if you have the capital and have no experience in the tire industry a franchise can actually save you money int he learning curve. But if you have been in the game for a while you will have more flexibility and can make more on your own. But again this is more personal choice. Also franchise tend to be more capital up front type of business.
