Top tip from a local - if you want an experience similar to Dun Angus minus the crowds then go to the Black Fort (Dún Dúchathair) on the opposite side of the island, take a road to the right just before the airport. If staying the night on the island then try to time the visit for sunset and you’ll see the sun hitting the cliffs of moher from the old fort. It’s an amazing spot……..it’s where I proposed to my wife!

A word from the wise….Don’t drink mead the night before traveling up the ride to cliff of mores…..it won’t stay down…….
