- Best viewed in 60 fps (only available on HTML5 player). I'm player 1 and Mark is player 2. This is the Wii version of the game from The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return.
I wish arcades were more popular now a days, I rarely ever see them anymore. I remember playing these types of games with my sister at my movie theaters arcade room as a kid. They still have an arcade room but the games are different now, more family friendly. Still, I remember how fun it was to play this right before the movie started seating... good times.
Yes because most of these games are rarely on console so if they get removed entirely we may never see them again even beyong our death

I only played The House Of The Dead and The House Of The Dead 4.
Mainly because of the pandemic

I really wish arcade shooters were still a thing now. Remember having a blast with my siblings player these kinds of games back in the day.
They still are a thing, went to an arcade a few months ago and they had a couple of them
I remember playing this with my cousin in a taiwanese mall called SOKO in Zhongli. Uncut of course. Being both 10 years old didn't matter. What mattered was, that we had enough coins to play it all day long. For being that young, we both had a great interest in firearms and ran around our grandparents house guns blazing with Chinese toy guns on a daily basis and had the time of our life. Did have my fair share of nightmares of zombies, but was worth it playing this with my cousin in the good old days. Never made it past the first rooms in the factory though.
Loved being able to get a game in before a movie at a theater growing up!
Daniel Curien is actually voiced by the same guy who voices Sly Cooper, and yet he's uncredited in this game... o_o

I remember when I was a kid (around 8 or 9 maybe?) and saw the first House Of The Dead in an arcade. I was terrified but I thought it was awesome and crazy realistic.

That's not what Daniel Curien's motives are. His motive is to "walk toward the future bearing the burden of his dad's crime". If he were to repeat the past, then he would lose the will to walk to the future or live his life the way he is now ("What life do I have to live?!")

Thanks for sharing it with us all! I spent my whole childhood tryin' to finish this game but I've always failed! And I've never had enough money to try to play over and over again ahah This is the game I played with my first real boyfriend during one of our first real dates, can you believe that?! Of course it is now old and terrible, but back then it was an amazing videogame... I can see that it is very similar to Resident Evil but I don't care at all. I spent a good night tonight and I laughed a lot reminding my childhood... thanks!

I used to play this game with my dad in the arcade of a mall it was the mall we went all the time in 2012-2015 I remember we were so excited when we finnaly killed the Death in the office building but could never see the last boss. Now its 2022 and that arcade is closed in the mall sadly.

I’m so used to these games having a pistol as your basic weapon. An Automatic (what I’m assuming) Slug-Round Shotgun is a nice change of pace!
Fairly sure HotD 3 has semi-automatic shotguns. Not that you can really tell from this gameplay; these guys have cracked out trigger fingers. lol.
HotD 4 does give you an automatic pistol, though. It's actually pretty nice, cause it spares a lot of wear on your trigger finger.

HOTD1 had slightly better voice acting than 2. HOT3 was ok. But HOTD4 was the best one.....Then Scarlet Dawn, it’s obvious they did the bad voices on purpose. I mean the Mystery Man (Thornheart) voice who’s old has the voice of a 30 year old trying to sound old.

Because when I attempt to play with a friend on this game, I cannot bypass any menus even though both of us have the same configurations regarding graphical, and control settings. Are you saying you have no controls online at all? If that is the case, it sounds like you might not have set the Wii remotes before starting netplay. Also, which version of Dolphin are you using?
