Question for you, I'm interested in setting up a mangrove Paludarium with a tide cycle. My thought is to have a sump under the tank and use an Ecotech Versa pump to slowly remove water from the Paludarium over 6 hours, then refil at the same rate. Could this be done with a single pump? Can a single pump be set to cycle in opposite directions at different times?
On your recommendations, i got versa imported fro UK. Its drops for few seconds and then hold for a second and starts again. 18ml per min Ca Rx. It Pulling water from ca rx
Is there a history feature? How much i dosed yesterday to be able to see the effect it had on the aquarium. Itd be a nice feature to just be able to see the dosing history for a week to compare against my kh directors results. Power outages will mess up copying and pasting todays schedule over that timeframe.
I have 2 versa pumps for water changes side by side not pushing/pulling water very far, when i watch the pumps one seems to be slightly turning faster then the other. Both calibrated. Am i being paranoid? Worried one is adding more then the other is pulling out.
Hi excuse me if this is a dumb question. So I want to setup an automatic water change. 2 containers in the sump area one obviously adding saltwater and one removing tank water, when it stops pulling water from the display would it still create a siphon? Even though dosing has stopped? How do I fix this. Hopefully you understand what I'm saying. Thanks in advance.
The rollers pinch the tube and you should not have a siphon. Eventually it could happen if the tube is worn out but if you replace them once In a while you should be set.
@@ReefDudes perfect I have Radions and MP40s so the future is looking good 👍 Ecotech stuff is great just lacking a bit of connectivity 🤣 My Versa is doing a solid job slowly drip feeding the tank Kalk thanks to your videos on Kalk I’ve now switched over to the Kalk side 😂
question lets say you doing 2 part with 2 units. can you do 2 dosing schedules, lets say less when the lights are off and more when lights are on, since alk gets consumed more during the day.
Thanks for the how to video Deven. 😊 Much appreciated. The Versa is built well and I like the fact that it can be used for different functions.
My pleasure!

You can manually run the pump backwards but I dont think you can schedule it to run backwards (atleast not yet)

Does it do it on the hour or at midnight ? I have seen that if it’s kinda re setting it self
Great video.
Thanks Greg!
Thanks for the video! Great information as always!!
Thanks Bob!

How loud are they when running at 300ml/min? Thinking about switching from DOS to these for AWC
You can hear them when all out but quieter than the dos. I spread mine over an extra hour so they run slower and stay super quiet :)
If I want to dose continuously from 7 pm to 7 am, can the versa do that or for have to dose continuously for the whole day

Do you know if the Versa will ever be Wi-Fi enabled rather than Bluetooth? Cheers
Possibly :)

@@hurrensreef4228 Welcome to the kalk side! Connectivity should hopefully be fixed soon via firmware updates :)
@@ReefDudes I just can’t believe I didn’t start with Kalk it must be a Brit thing it just isn’t as popular here. Perfect bring on the new firmware. 👍
I’m glad I made the jump to using Kalk. Hoping it will give my tank the benefits of using it.
Where can you get color coded dosing tubes from ?
I always rodi line, you can order a ton of diff Color’s
I have a 105 gallon mixed reef- dosing 25 ml Alk- 16 mls cal Daily evap 1 gallon on average. What would be the best way to start dosing Kalkwasser
Thank you. I was wondering why my versa would not let me dose over 3L per day of kalk. Turns out I had the programming wrong.
Did you get if fixed up?!
No, mine has a max rate of 1.98ml/min on all settings. Any idea why?
How do you set the Versa to only dose 2 times a week?
I don’t believe they have day of the week schedules. Jsut 24h. Why not break that dose up into smaller daily doses
Is this the best doser on the market right now ?
It’s my go to pick. Can go from ultra precise dosing of trace elements. Continuous duty or even water changes

Yep sure can. Just add two diff points to schedule and set how much you want to dose over each period
