I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

Taeyong is honestly such inspiration. He basically started from scratch and practically worked his ass off to get where he is today. He's so determined and focused and this isn't exclusive to dance either, Taeyong DOES the same with rapping, lyrics and composing. He tries his best at everything and never slacks off and I have an insane amount of respect for the person that he is. I remember him telling us that our hard will never fail us and I think that's something he truly believes in. He's resting right now which is a relief because no one deserves a break more than he does honestly.
And thus this is why taeyong is best boi face it you stupid antis🤡

I recently noticed that Taeyong ALWAYS asks for the move to be shown to him again and again, even with the easiest and smallest moves - like when Seulgi asked him to do a move from Power up, or when other dancers showed him moves on Dispatch. He's super attentive to details and wants to grasp a move to perfection, I'm awed. 🥺
This is why I have mad respect to Taeyong
He didn't give up
He observed his fellow trainees and practice day and night non stop
Even tho his choreographers nearly gave up on him they gave him a chance
Now...He is one of the best dancers in the kpop industry
And even up to now
Taeyong is used as an example to other trainees
everytime someone talks nice, compliments, and say how they admire Taeyong, i find myself crying. Taeyong deserves so much love just like how we admire and love other members. :

Mad respect to Taeyong. He's definitely one of the most hardworking k-idols in history. His natural stage presence when performing is intimidating for me too. I sometimes get scared to look at Taeyong when dancing, because just dang-- but when he's off stage, he's as soft as a pillow and can't even kill a bug! The duality of this man is uh. 👏👏👏

Taeyong is that one overpowered anime main character who looks intimidating but really just cute and serious when he needs to be
Just like what u said in 13:21, I know this was few years ago but I remember a lady who trained at SM for dance (not to debut as an idol but to get trained in dancing in SM) and she said that SM dance trainers do not slow down a song when teaching but instead they play the music normal speed and they have to catch up learning like that. So now I applaud SM trainers for teaching them like that and why SM artists never fail when it comes to dancing😌

Yeah it’s like how am I supposed to know how it should look like? Lol
youre right bout taeyong attention to little details and his choice of moves and expression. its no like the choreographer teach him those. he is well known for changing some of the choreography or do his own little part in the dance. for example during kick it, that finger rolling for the chorus he did it on his own and when i see others covered the dance they do the same as taeyong. tht just show tht when learning the choreography, others really look up on taeyong. there is also a part in punch where taeyong change the moves in some stages. like at first he did the original and after few stages he changes a little part of it and it blend so well with the group dance. he really has lot ov varieties and like to interpret his own moves without breaking the dance group. im sorry if i dont deliver it well.
I always look forward to how Taeyong changes or tweaks their choreo. It shows his attentiveness and passion for dance.
He often adds a head tilt to follow the movement too. If you watch I can't stand the rain from Super M, he's the only one who moves his head back when it slows down and he throws one arm up.
Ballet dancers don't have to sing while they are dancing and can focus on just dancing. Taeyong is the leader of the group and has to focus on his dancing, the other members and keep singing his parts. Taeyong is a masterpiece.
Idk why but the one in nct doing let me introduce some new thang there is no one better than taeyong doing that move! Like seriously even other k idol who cover kick it.

When he dances you really just can't look away, I legit could watch him dance all day. (and on a side note, if you haven't seen the SuperM No Manners performance I highly recommend it!)

I came as soon as possible and i couldn't agree more with this series. I hope he's now taking care of himself well because sometimes he said that his joint is hurt or members joking that he's now a grandpa because he always makes sound whenever he stand up and etc:( as much i love to see him on stage, i hope he could take care of his body and health well
Also, he often participates in making choreos for NCT and SuperM, he's very passionate about dancing.

Simon Says is my favorite NCT song ever and it is also the song that introduced me to NCT. And not just NCT, the world of kpop as well.
I absolutely love the signature NCT 127 sound and the choreography.

when that came out I was like "omg that’s kinda cool" & the guessing "test" was the only test where I got 100% 😂💚

I agree! When a choreographer teaches a class, I prefer to see the actual step first so that I have a clear picture/goal to reach when learning the step.
It's also much better to show the whole choreography that's going to be taught!

Taeyong said in a live that several people have told him that his way of seeing things and dancing is very unique and even though everyone in the group executes the same choreo he has his own colour mixed with the choreo and this video explains it all

Just the fact that taeyong has a stage persona that's so far from his offstage personality shows what a true performer he is
The house reno...great comparison! And surprisingly accurate. Being a completely “blank slate” was how I fell very quickly into being an instructor. This is also the reason lots of jobs won’t hire people with “experience.” My friend almost died because of a coworker who decided to do what his “experience” taught him instead of exactly what his job told him.

Thank you Jeff for reacting and appreciating Taeyong. I feel like he's so underrated for how talented he is in everything in the Kpop world. I know you have a long reaction list, but when you're ready to add more I suggest Taeyong solo song Long Flight that he made himself and his freestyle dances on RUclips that he did because they are awesome. His freestyle to Oh Go (feat. Johnny, Yuta, Jungwoo and Haechan in the beginning part) is probably my favorite one of his because they add a sense of humor in the first part and when saw him dancing in the pool it left me fanning myself and watching it on repeat 😂

He constantly looks like he’s phrasing his dance. It’s highly addictive and beautiful to watch.
Observing Taeyong briefly, I don’t see him as this fragile or easy to break idol. What I see is a young man who is mentally and physically strong, and looks healthy. Let’s not paint this young man as this delicate little baby, when in fact, he is the opposite. What is obvious is that Taeyong is a creative genius.

even though taeyong wasn't born a dancer, I can say that he is one of the top dancers who is the best who almost followed kai's talent. They compared taeyong and ten, but for me, taeyong's moves are better, the swag, the charisma and stage presence are all in him as well. the facial expression the way he delivers the lyrics with his dance ability is so impressive i always choose taeyong when it comes to talent he has it all.

I admire sm thou there artist have different style in dancing and are all great dancers for example Kai,taemin, eunhyeuk and seulgi, hyoyeon and ten, Taeyong each of theme have different style and aura in dancing ...
so this is what it means... like when i'm practicing a dance (for school) i tend to look at the angles, like should i open my legs widely or just a little, (arms) shoulder level or a little bit lower or higher, i don't want to look annoying and i'm shy 😑, thats why i don't ask them about it and just keep the questions to myself😅. and also, that's why they say don't cut a step to do the next step (idk if you get but idk how explain it properly 😅) it's for the shape, it is to form the shape. like to make it a whole. i don't really know how to explain properly so i'm sorry, but after watching this makes me want to watch the other videos for the other members. and thank you, i learned new things 😊😊😊

the fact that he was even told by their dance trainer pre-debut that he had no future in dancing yet seeing him become such an amazing performer now just proves that anyone can be who they want to be if they work hard enough and i think that's beautiful

Sometimes I think, sinceTaeyong never have a background in dancing, he's more behave like a storyteller and not a dancer, it's like when you playing guessing the things using gestures we tend to exaggerate a lil bit to make sure people understand what we're trying to convey. But yeah, being exaggerated all the time take its toll too.
