Glad to see the EDT getting some love. Beautiful, beautiful scent. It might be my favorite in the line TBH and I have them all. They're all incredible and worth trying/buying.
@@MrZZoohI haven't worn it in a while. From what I can recall, the performance was at least average on me to better than average. That's usually the case for me though. I think it's a skin chemistry type of thing. There are only a handful of colognes that don't last 6 hours on me. At least in my collection. Sorry you didn't have luck with this one.
Bought blind, arrived this lunchtime. What a scent, just morish. The almond linger is top drawer, I get a bit of cherry also. Best blind buy I’ve pulled the trigger on.
I bought the EDT thinking it was the EDP a couple of months ago, and I wore it today for the first time. I was really surprised by this scent's smoothness! I truly enjoyed wearing this and look forward to wearing it many more times!

Amazing line. I have Cologne, EDT, EDP, and Sport. That’s the order I would rank them in. Cologne is still my favorite. I wish I would’ve bought some backup bottles.

Great review… This was one of my first “off the beaten path” purchases… Grabbed it at a perfume retail store in the local mall for $40. Man I miss that place, closed during COVID and never reopened. They had prices that were competitive with online sellers, which was so nice… But anyway… I now have all but the Cool edition - One of my favorite lines.
Man i love this fragrance, i love all the line but this one its awesome for me.. Today all fragrance houses are pulling out a tone of blue ,warm, sweet fragrances for men. I love the YSL and Dior house,but man Guerlain house had some extraordinary fragrances,man and woman. The edt one its exactly like you described. The rest of the line like the edp,intense,extreme are more pungent for me.cheers. Wath is strange ,on my skin it stay's almost 10 hours.

It's tonka and almond, remind me of Tom Fords $300+ 'F*cking Fabulous'. It's a masterpiece. The EDP is too cherryade.
Ordered a 3.4 by accident and was irritated. With the colder weather I threw it on last week and ended up wearing it two days straight. Its just so pleasant and unaffending. Wear it to work or school, anywhere when it's cooler
Yessssss! Love seeing people talk about this one and it doesn't get talked about enough. EDP gets all the love but for me this is the best in the line. My two favourites from the house are L'Homme Ideal EDT and Homme EDP, both amazing, especially for the prices. I'm not sure why nobody says "amaretto" in regards to this though. It 100% smells like amaretto. That's what I got the first time I smelled it and I have every time since. So my two fave Guerlains smell like alcoholic drinks considering Homme EDP smells like mojito 😂
Yes you are right. I have the homme one and the mint and the rom makes it awesome smell. The edp its a little to sweet for me. But i love the all line. Cheers
Haven’t tried the edt yet but I prefer l’intense over the edp…edp smells great in the dry down but the opening smells just like jergens cherry almond lotion 🤷🏽♂️🤣
Hi Ross, I got in my collection the Guerlain L'homme Ideal EDP 50ml, (i get a strong cherry in that!) also got the Cologne 50ml, (more citrus in that one) not tried the EDT as yet !
This is definitely niche, just not ridiculously expensive. You get so much more than what you pay for and I can't believe that at one time they went for $30 for 100ml. On average they're $50-$120 now and Ideal Cologne, white bottle is really went up. Still worth it.
You're one of the few that like one of my favorites sport I would like to see what you think about the reformulation in the bottle with out the line on the side they really turned down the pachulii and turned up the almond
I just got 2 bottles of the extreme and had to get them from a website based out of canary islands in Spain. It's a huge letdown in terms of longevity and performance. I smelled and tried this when they sent it instead of the edp by mistake and as far as I can tell the EDT is the best performing of them all! The whole line is backwards. EDT is the strongest. EDP is OK. And Extreme is the weakest.
i like the scent.. but for me it smells like what a gentleman or ideal man would wear in the past when people normally wear suits and formal attire as an everyday outfit it smells classy, not an old man scent but a fragrance that some gentleman in the past would wear lol

I haven't tried anything from the line, but I love the house. I only have one from them and my wife has a couple. Everything I've smelt from them is great, and I love the history of the house.
Just start with the EDP. It's so good. Smooth, sweet, powdery cherry and almonds. People say cherry cough syrup but I get very sweet cherry kool-aid at 1st. But it ain't that in your face sweet for long.
I would buy a sample decant of both the EDT and the EDP. Actually, I bought both along with the Cool and Sport versions (they were out of the L'Intense). I thought that I would like the EDP best but actually ended up liking the EDT....and I liked it so much I bought a bottle of it. The EDP treaded too much into both the heavy and feminine territory for me to be comfortable wearing it. I enjoyed the scent, but felt like it was something better suited for women than men. Just my opinion, though, your's may vary ..which is why I suggest buying decants of both to see which one you like best.
This whole line became really expensive. The EDP I have wanted for so long, but it is around $115 at discounters for me. The extreme is even more. This one I haven't smelt, but it's still around $75. Everyone says they are all great, but idk if it's worth the risk of not liking it for these prices?

have this one. then I tried the extreme in stores. to my nose it's identical to the edt I already have. I don't get any bit of the tobacco that suppose to be there. redundant one. BTW, has anybody found the edt slightly reminding mugler pure havane?

eBay is always good for samples. You just have to find the right price, some people hike the prices. Obviously you're never going to get 5% of their bottle for 5% of what they paid, but keep an eye out and you'll find a reasonable one, don't just jump into getting the first sample you see. That would be my advice :)

Always thought of Guerlain as designer, but they only sell fragrance, skincare, and makeup; so they do qualify as niche.

EDT is the best by far. i find the EDP a true unisex scent

Recently grabbed mine in a gift set for about $55. Should have gotten it 2 years ago when I saw it for $35. Still worth it in my opinion.
Amazing line. I have Cologne, EDT, EDP, and Sport. That’s the order I would rank them in. Cologne is still my favorite. I wish I would’ve bought some backup bottles.

went through a 100ml bottle and picked up a 150ml bought it early on and saved money. still cool out and I'll wear it tomorrow

Love this, I had to make a choice between this and Habit Rouge and chose the later, but will go back for it another time 👍

Where can I find samples from this house? I don't know any in-store retailers that carry the line and I'd like to try a few before buying.
