Idk how I've gone this far without knowing how to copy/paste keyframes in fusion. Great video!

I finally found Jake, who creates high-quality content about Davinci Resolve, with a focus on Fusion. I watched your video about vectors in Fusion and I am eagerly waiting for a tutorial on how to animate a vector in Fusion, similar to Adobe After Effects. I couldn't find anyone else talking about it, so please keep up the great work. Your tutorials are eloquent and easy to follow ⚡⚡🔥🔥

Excellent keyframes video. I’ve been keyframing for years on different platforms. Even though I consider myself to be an expert keyframer, I learned a few Fusion-specific keyframing techniques in this tutorial. Keep it up! …Rowby.

It's a very professional video. If you just change the title and description it's perfect. But this is a tutorial on how keyframing works in the Fusion page and since Resolve has another way of keyframing in the Edit page and the Color Page for example, I was hoping that this video was going to be about those pages, based on the title and description. Again, the video itself is very well done. It just didn't match with my expectations based on the title.

Fair point! I'll add Fusion to the title, thanks for the kind words!

Please explain how you animated the flying key at the very beginning of the video. It looks so smooth

I imported it using the USD system in Fusion, I have a video on that on my channel. My next video will cover some of the animation techniques I used for that, even though I don't show the exact process I used. The Text animations next to the key were done using the WippText tool from the EditorCollection.

Just keep in mind, in Davinci, when you copy and paste keyframes, you lose the ability to create new keyframes.
The software instead of simply copy and pasting the same values like you think a basic function would, for some reason it groups all the previous keyframes into a "path" and then duplicates the "path" which you can edit the keyframes already there, but you clicking new keyframe does nothing. So for example you can't create a new keyframe and input position values to make the text slide off the right.
(Currently testing using fusion node transform(Xf) and haven't tested other node types yet so might only be a transform node quirk.)
If anyone knows how to copy paste keyframes and then create NEW keyframes after that please share.
(My current workaround is chop the fusionclip. Create a new one. Copy paste the position values of last keyframe and animate freely from there until the next time I need a repeated action.)
You can access this "path" by clicking on the inspector and switching the inner tab to "modifiers".
The displacement value is basically how far along the decided path the animation has run with 0-1 meaning 0%-100% of the way.
You can create new keyframes here but they will apply to the entire path e.g. move the entire motion position further down the screen.
