Japan is amazing! American living here for the past 3 years, and I don’t ever want to leave. Next time Bea rolls trough I would love to buy him a sake!
Pre-covid, for 12 years, I spent 2 weeks every year in Kyoto with my work. Japan is the one of the most amazing counties I have ever been to., If you have never been to Japan, go if you can. Also good to see Rabea back making Andertons videos.
Been living in Japan for about 5 years now, the guitar shops here are full of amazing used deals. Some out there stuff too! Guitar pick collecting is on another tier out here.
This is exactly how a metal demo should be.. no tired blues licks on shreddy guitars!! Although blues licks do sound great on strats and teles and other vintage-y guitars
I have one of these in crackle red. It took an extensive amount of work to make it play right. Ended up completely gutting the electronics as well and going with a full Fishman fluence modern setup. It's good now, but many hours of work went into the setup and repair of some aspects of the guitar.
Depends on where you are in Japan. I was stationed there in the Marines. Tokyo and Osaka and the mainland is really cool. But if your stuck in someplace like Okinawa it’s really cool at first but it doesn’t take long before there isn’t a whole lot of stuff to do and it gets a little old. But it’s definitely worth going and checking out for a week or so. When you get there let someone know you wanna see a “Banana Show” lol.
What you mentioned about Tubescreamers and not having individual treble and bass controls is the reason I went with a Tone City Kaffir Lime pedal. So useful having the extra flexibility.
I've only been to Okinawa and "that doesnt count, too touristy, too Merican" and it was OFF!! Tokyo and Kyoto and the Inital-D roads totally bucketlist❤🤘
I love that this begins with a MojoMojo. Best value overdrive pedal on the market, and actually one of the best-sounding overdrive pedals at any price. However, the MojoMojo is definitely NOT a Tube Screamer clone. It's a totally different circuit, meant to emulate the sound of a Vox AC100 amp. I don't know how anyone could possibly think the MojoMojo sounds anything like a TS, especially since the MojoMojo has, if anything, waaay too much bass for many uses, even with the Voice switch in the bass cut position, and the TS has decidely light bass response.
I lived in Nagoya for 4 years and it was great. Bought a j.custom there and an E-II in Ochanomizu. In the end though, i should've stuck to the used market, it's so good there because the condition of used goods is second to none over there. Prepandemic it was also dirt cheap
I used to have a Bronze Series Warlock years ago with a tune o matic bridge and the Widow style headstock but ended up selling it as I stopped playing it. Wish I kept hold of it now!
My first guitar was one I found in a friend's garage and bought for $2, but my second guitar was a super cheap BC Rich Mockingbird, bought new for $150. It is a phenomenal guitar. It feels better than some guitars that cost $1000+. I replaced the pickups, tuners, and jack. But it is probably the best guitar I own and also the second cheapest.
Japan is great. Despite the relative lack of English, everyone is so polite and everything works so well and is well thought out that it's really easy to get around. Great food, beautiful countryside and a chilled vibe (outside Tokyo, which is mental).
So I had a Platinum Series Warlock back in the mid-80s, it was this light teal color (Poison/Hair Metal colors were what they came in: purple, hot pink, lime green, etc..). It was pretty bad (not the good type of "bad"), the pickups had zero drive and the trem was some Khaler knock-off. My biggest problem was I was 14 and small, so it was huge for me (air guitar with a broom to get an idea), I ended up selling it to my best friend and bought a Kramer Striker. My friend had it for about 2 months and then tried throwing it around his neck and the strap came off just as it was in an upward trajectory, threw it right through his ceiling.😁
My Ultimate Metal Rig: Parker Fly Artist and Supreme guitars, 2x Mesa/Boogie Trem-O-Verb heads and Recto oversized 4x12 closed-back cabs loaded with Celestion Vintage 30s. ProCo RAT distortion pedal with the clipping diodes removed ("Clean RAT"), One Control BJFe Rocket Grey Fuzz, Origin Effects RevivalDRIVE Compact overdrive and DCX Boost, Boss RV-500 reverb and RE-202 Space Echo, Horrothia Type One ensemble and Berkeley vibe.
Used to have the MK1 Club50. The voicing button they mentioned in passing seemed to me to be more of a focus push, rather than a separate channel, acting pretty much as an overdrive pedal does with clean boost and minimal gain. I could quite easily get decent tight metal tones with high output pickups and no pedals. With that said though, if you have a specific preference in OD pedals and how it shapes the tone, just deactivate the voice button and use whatever you want, like Rabea did here.
how to find the "content" in between all that commercials, or maybe the commercials are just the content!? mindblowing 🤣..the boss katana is also a great and affordable all in one setup not just for metal imo, the brown channel is just outstanding and has become very popular within the metal scene especially for doom metal. i would just prefere the new MK II artist edition over every blackstar amp 👌
Lee this is totally badass!!!! You got to start doing this like a couple times a month have pointy guitars there's a lot of them out there and a lot of people like them! As a matter of fact I only have one guitar that's round and I have 14! Anyway so nice to see Robbia on their playing some cool riffs on the old school BC Rich! You got to do some more metal stuff if you can't play it have a guest come on or I will come down. You can fly me over lol! Anyways great video and that tone was decent from the HT40. You ought to have a metal day once a month or something! Anyways Bea looks great I've never been to Japan but I have a few friends that are full-blooded Japanese. They are really cool people and JAPANESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY INTO METAL! Thanks again guys keep up the great work!!!;🤘
Bea playing a Warlock like every new metal guitarist ever is super relatable. Pretty sure it's a prerequisite. If you listen closely you can even hear the sound of the cash register at the pawn shop. (Just in Case Kevin Frasard sees this they are awesome instruments... please don't beat me up.)
I wish just that B.C rich would make the guitars they made back in the day. All black and horned headstock with kahler, floyd or none. but we don't get that anymore since we can't get nice things.
I had a BC Rich Ironbird in the late 80s. Loved that guitar. But of course like most teenagers who buy their own gear I traded it in to get the next guitar.
I remember meeting Bea about 5 years ago and he just had an air of " X factor " around him, Yano that some people just have was clear he was going to become super successful and he was really chilled and had no edge to him. Great player and top person too
Always a good day when Bea shows up in the studio
Exactly!
Great to see Bea back at Andertons!
Rabea's reaction as the captain compliments him was so cute.
Glad to see him back. Awesome chops as always!
Great to see Rabea again. As usual, fantastic playing.
Glad to see Rabea back!
Great to see Rabea again!
I went to Japan (mostly Osaka) about 8 years ago and I can't wait to go back, it's just so fun
Nice, I've always wanted to go there. It looks absolutely beautiful from everything I've seen and heard about
Japan is amazing! American living here for the past 3 years, and I don’t ever want to leave. Next time Bea rolls trough I would love to buy him a sake!
Can’t get enough of Rabea’s playing. Always interesting and ear catching

i'd love to see a guitar pick bowl from japan, it would be the best picture.
I wish I had been mor into playing guitar when I was stationed there so I coulda checked out some of the stuff over there.
Did you get the boobies pick
Rabea rules. I also love how happy lee looks when watching him play
That shredding Chia Pet sure plays a mean pinball!!
Could listen to Bea play all day. Such a talent
Lee, Japan is awesome, add it to your bucket list!!! Awesome video as ever guys, welcome back Rabea!
Really Good to see you at Andertons again Rabea , love that Dime Bag G string Harmonic scream at the end .
Whatever.
Hey Captain! Japan really is amazing. It takes some getting used to for a couple of days but I love it over there.
Great to see Rabea. Even better to see him and hear him play. Yes!
This is exactly how a metal demo should be.. no tired blues licks on shreddy guitars!!
Although blues licks do sound great on strats and teles and other vintage-y guitars
Awesome and fun vid team. Great to see Rabea again and the shredding facials were classic. Keep up the good work Team Andertons!
Lived/worked in Japan for a total of 18 months. Take away the work, which is bloody, it was a wonderful time for me. Would love to come back.
The captain and Danish Pete going to Japan and checking out music stores would be epic! Travel vlog?

Been waiting for some more metal+bea content. Awesome and cheers from 🇵🇰
Rabea, is probably one of the nicest guys on youtube, love his playing too.
Those deals are so good it makes that combo almost qualify for metal rig on a budget

Yes! I miss Rabea, glad to see him back in the jam room shredding.

Been to Japan twice. Can confirm, it's an awesome place to visit.
My first guitar was one I found in a friend's garage and bought for $2, but my second guitar was a super cheap BC Rich Mockingbird, bought new for $150. It is a phenomenal guitar. What a talent and class act. All the best Rebea. Awesome channel you have Mr Anderton. Cheers
Shut up.
I have a 98 Warlock with a Black Widow headstock. It's awesome. I'm not a shredder whatsoever but it plays great!

Went to Japan for two weeks with my partner about a decade ago. It was an amazing experience.
Domestic partner?
Yeah, the Fro all up in Anderton's meltin faces like old times! Shred on playa.

Holy Crap Rabea!!! That shredding just kicked my Ass.. Love it
Rabea....instant click
I bought a PRS Lefty SE from the epic deals I cant wait :)
Rabea, nice to be back ;-)
Rabea is the Man 💯
Hey I got the basic warlock as my first guitar, had to replace the pickups such a great guitar.
Rab would be able to have a massive tone even with my broom
Great to see B back
Japan's pretty great. It's been 10 years for me but I still think about it all the time.
Lee this is totally badass!!!! You got to start doing this like a couple times a month have pointy guitars there's a lot of them out there and a lot of people like them! Fantastic Tone

😆😆😆
Their loss my gain.
Any video with Bea in it is a good video!
a most excellent day when the shreadmister returns.
Rabea is so raw. Tasteful too.
I had a warbeast back in the day, that guitar looks about 100lbs lighter lol they have definitely slimmed the profile
Been living in Hiroshima, Japan for most of my life. Cool country. Can't get any safer than here. They treat their people decently.
back in the 2000s when i started, my friend had a kerry king warlock starter kit and i always thought that thing was ridiculous lol
Japan is a must visit. Nowhere else quite like it.
there should be so so many more guitars in a crackle finish. not to hate on the black warlock but the red crackle was something different man.
BC Riches make surprisingly good jazz guitars - although you'd need some pretty big balls to take one to Ronnie Scott's!
I've always been a bit disappointed by the tube amps from Blackstar. However, their modeling is really more than good.
Really?
I’ve always looked at warlocks and thought ‘that’s the one guitar I’ll never own’. I ended up building my own replica of Eddie’s guitar for Halloween.
I wish just that B.C rich would make the guitars they made back in the day. All black and horned headstock with kahler, floyd or none. but we don't get that anymore since we can't get nice things.
METAL! Lovin those tones
Killer Tone.. 🤘🎸
Love seeing familiar faces!!!
The warlock has always been the forefront. Miss the more aggressive headstocks 🤘
Yeah, Rabea shredding!
Lee’s face and horns at 0:23 should be a t-shirt.
I see Bea at Andertons I hit like lol you guys are all awesome
Ironic how we value the effect of tubes and then proceed to place a solid state device at the front of them. Great to see Rabea in the house.
Shut up.
Michael Stützer from Artillery 🤘🤘🤘🤘 Plays BC Rich
Japan was fun, but Thailand was the spot. Spent two months there, the best times.
We all know Bea and Digital John are much more than metal and digital. It’s just good fun is all. They both rock! And more…
Neck is a short scale 22 fret has extra neck pocket cutouts
I lived in Japan for 10 years. I miss it every day. Tokyo is my favorite city in the world.
Nice setup and killer price for the Blackstar! Do you also ship to Germany?
BEA YEAH HES BACK
I had a BC Rich Ironbird in the late 80s. Loved that guitar. But of course like most teenagers who buy their own gear I traded it in to get the next guitar.
Shred? If only my fingers could physically move that fast! 🤣🤣🤣
There's something fascinating about that Warlock shape... Like it's hideous and cool at the same time.
Rocking the Daddy Pig socks like all good dads should do 😂
The Bea is back in town
I remember meeting Bea about 5 years ago and he just had an air of " X factor " around him, Yano that some people just have was clear he was going to become super successful and he was really chilled and had no edge to him. Great player and top person too
Nice sweater
2:44 "Does it get any more metal than a B.C Rich Warlock?"
Yes, Ibanez Xiphos say's Hi
I miss Bea, but I'm here for the Bc Rich
I really like the amp, but to be fair, Bea could make a rotten banana sound metal if he wants to. Great vid!
I’ve lived in Japan now for 17 years. It’s a place.
Holy shit, something other than a superstrat!
Co-sign on Japan being a great place.
Japan is amazing it is always worth going to
Shredtastic!
