Hey friends. I worked realy hard on this video, I really appreciate you all watching! Would love to hear your thoughts here in the comments! What sound do you want to hear next?
I liked how the text to audio sounded way smoother when you used the right letters! It's crazy how much of a difference it made. Also did you end up splitting the sound clip with all the letters into individual clips? Or is there a way to do that in wwise?
Man this was exactly what I was looking for. Can't thank you enough for making this video! Love how you broke down the process, especially in your customization of the scripts. Beautiful! Keep doing your thing man.
would it be possible to have a website thatd automatically let you record your voice for every letter and turn it into a villager voice, and let you type anything you want and make it read it. Maybe even let us adjust pitch and speed a little
I found your channel yesterday, from Jonas Tyroller's video about sound effects in games. Today I went and bought a microphone. These projects are so cool. I'm working on my own game now, and as soon as I saw that video yesterday, I just knew that I wanted to make my own sound effects. It seems like such a joyful and rewarding experience! The animal crossing voices are really amazing too
Not a bad idea! I think those sounds might be a little different since they don't have text attached and just need a pitch and a vowel sound. Sounds like it could be fun to dive into though!
I have no good brain thoughts on why there aren't more views here. I love this so much. I liked and subbed because this info is invaluable. I AM CURIOUS! Does this.......(as I'm typing, I looked up at the description and saw my answer)....... work in FMOD? I'm not a coder and I have never coded, so that stuff you were doing with the language didn't look possible to me, but FMOD seems easier.
This was so cool! I do sound recreations on my channel as well and was looking to do something for animal crossing as well. This was very inspirational!
Maybe you already have a video for this but I am always so curious what its like in the life of a sound designer for video games. What are industry standards for additional software knowledge outside a DAW? Do you need to know how to code? How can you make money as a freelancer outside of selling sound packs/ working on games or are these the primary ways to monetize this skill? I hope someone see's this and would love more info. Been looking on YT for a while :) Great content!
Thanks! my secret guest wants to do a cosplay on animal crossing with merry (Because she is OBSESSED!) and that's one of her favorites so watching this video really helped! -New epic and secret guest
I know you only make videos for Unity users, but would you have any idea on how to integrate this into UE4? Is it possible to use the same code? I know Wwise can also be used with UE4 but havent found any guides on animalese for this. I am making a small game and want to try having some sort of tts style.
@@Blipsounds No I don't have dialouge system yet ^^' Sorry. I will build a mockup/prototype system soon tho. But could you do any pointers on where to start, if you have any idea for UE4 users? I dont mean to be elitist but I can't find any others than you that know exactly whats to be done. I dont need to use paid audio software?
This is super useful! Mostly for the indie scene where limited budgets mean you have to make do without real voice acting. It would be interesting to watch as a follow up how to recreate Celeste's voices!
Yeah it really does help. I would like to see indies try to do a spin off of this instead of copying it directly as it will make the games sound more unique. That's a great idea! Voices in games is such an interesting topic as a whole and you can do so much with it!
You did it wrong. You're supposed to build a phonetic inventory out of the sounds in the language, not just say the letters. You should try this again, but maybe use your own simplified version of the International Phonetic Alphabet, recording consonants and vowels separately. You made it sound like the characters are just spelling the words, not speaking.
Hey friends. I worked realy hard on this video, I really appreciate you all watching! Would love to hear your thoughts here in the comments!
What sound do you want to hear next?
hi (:
Hello :)
Do it in reverse; take the voices from animal crossing and restore them to "normal"...
@@MrVyxx7 This sounds impossible, and it would be completely useless, but I will gladly try it for you and for science.
really, blip?
Just found him and I love this man

Thanks! Yeah I was surprised too! And I split it all up before Wwise in reaper :) Wwise can't do that!
Ahhh so much work went into this video.
The result is amazing though. So worth it! And congrats!
Thanks
So coool! Each character as a result have it's unic touch!
Exactly! Thanks for watching Elvin
