    Julie, I love your video about Trifari! My father, Lucius Passavanti, was a staff designer, along with Jean Paris, under Phillipe. Every night he can home from work with stories. I also have a photo of my dad with Jean paris which landed on the cover of American Jewelry Manufacturer in the 60s.

    I too love black and green color combination, but what I really need to say is...you have the most exquisite taste of any collector I have seen! I am a collector of several different areas or mediums--- art, jewelry, MCM vintage fabrics and decor, but you really impress me so much. Thank You for sharing with us!!!!

      That is quite a compliment and I thank you very much. Glad you enjoy the examples I show. Sometimes people ask for videos on specific designers but if I don't have enough examples I won't do one. I buy what I like.

    Julie, thank you. Your collection is stunning. I have a Trifari Crown w/copyright "wave" brooch. There is something about this brooch I cannot figure out. The brooch is a double wave, however the back has a separate wave piece "bolted" to the top wave piece and it has slight movement. I cannot find anything about this, can you assist?

    Hello, i have a "blue and green tiles" earings, very old...it is not gold, is it worth something? Also i have one big beautifull earing maybe is gold plated, no magnetic, so perferct but just one. My mom lost somwhere another one when she was young...she is 67 now. It is long leaves(made from 3 parts...the first one is leaves up another side of clip, look line bird legs...two others is some little springs, and leaves down. With white zirkons. Sorry my English is bad, so I can't explain better. Can I get some informations about values if you please? Thank you.

    • @chapelhillvintagejewels
      @chapelhillvintagejewels  Год назад +1

      Your English is fine, I understand but there is no way to do an appraisal without seeing and touching the piece. As far as a single earring, unless it could be turned into a pendant the value is just a scrap value.

    Hello, I came across this video and really enjoyed it! You seem to know a lot about Trifari, may I ask you if there are ever any unsigned pieces? I have a silvertone bracelet with light blue rhinestones, it came as a set with light blue rhinestone/ silvertone post earrings. They had been my mother's and were in a box signed Trifari ( no crown)- my sister sent them to me without their box, but I saw someone selling the same set in the same box. Just that I can't find any marks except for what appears to be a letter J on only one of the earrings. The quality seems very good, as my other signed Trifari pieces.Any idea? Thanks so much!

    • @chapelhillvintagejewels
      @chapelhillvintagejewels  Год назад +2

      I get asked questions about unsigned jewelry often. You just have to do the research with reference books and online information. Try to find another similar design that is signed. But if the piece is lovely and it was your Mom's why does it matter? I keep my Mom's and my grandma's pieces and would never sell them.

    • @kathysabo9703
      @kathysabo9703 Год назад

      True, I would never sell these pieces because of sentimental value, signed or not!

    Thank you for this very interesting video. I have discovered a set of Jewels of India jewelry that was my mother’s. It’s the red, green, blue and white. I have a clamper bracelet, a Maltese cross and earrings. I am interested in selling the set, but I’m not sure of their worth. I’m beginning to think I might have something of value. Could you possibly steer me in the right direction? Thank you so much.

    Perhaps someone else will know more about Trifari pearls. Just thought you might know of a good reference book book I could buy.

    I have found a bracelet with the mark that says "Copyright by Trifari" (copyright is written in word, not a sign of copyright, and with crown above letter "T"). But in the video wasn't shown any similar mark. Is it fake mark or it's true Trifari?

    • @chapelhillvintagejewels
      @chapelhillvintagejewels  5 лет назад

      I have seen Trifari with COPR spelled out (1948) but not the whole word. I would have to see it to do further research. Not assuming it is a fake at this point. If you want to send a photo of the piece, back, front and close up of mark, I will try to find out. juirving@yahoo.com
