      In the UK there was only one such politician that I know about. His name was Tony Benn. A true statesman. In the US it was Mike Gravel. Politicians that truly cared, too rare.

    This comment was removed by DT I'm loving this. Apparently Nigel said some years ago he was handed a piece of paper from a veteran WW2 pilot written on it was don't quote me, something like "when the flak starts your getting close, when the flak gets really bad your going to achieve your mission. I saw this during the Brexit vote. People hated him, attacked his words, slagged him off as a person, said he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. The flak was terrible but he achieved his mission. As it's plain to see the MSM other political parties are providing the flak, people will see through them again and Nigel and reform will achieve their mission.

      @@tombarac8253 Trump left the Paris climate agreement and increased fracking to record levels setting America back massively in its climate goals (Farage wants to get rid of the UK's net zero targets). He introduced the "Muslim ban" which was supposedly going to "protect America from terrorists" from 7 muslim countries but all it really did was fuel a culture war and xenophobia towards muslims (there is strong parallel between him and Farage on islamaphobia). Then we have the mismanagement of Covid, thousands of excess deaths that could've been avoided with stronger responses and all his gaffs preceding this in previous years. He didnt even finish his "great wall" that was his flagship policy in the 2016 election campaign. People want this guy back having forgotten all of this.

    • @susansmith9263
      @susansmith9263 2 месяца назад

      Trump is bad for the US, bad for business. His economic positions are terrible for inflation, as he wants to impose 10% across the board tariffs on imports from overseas, a 60% or more levy on Chinese imports, which economists spanning the political spectrum, say amounts to a $1,700 a year tax on US consumers.
      CEO's hate his economic positions and not one Fortune 500 CEO has donated to Trump.
      Going back to 1909 and the 27th US President Howard Taft, to the 43rd President George W Bush, 40-60% of CEO's openly and financially supported the Republican candidate.
      Starting with Trump in 2016, it went to $0.00
      They hate how Trump tears apart the social fabric of society.
      These CEO's aren't xenophobic, they're not protectionists, nor isolationists.
      Unlike Trump, they believe in the rule of law, not the law of the ruler.
