Im growing my Cucumber hydroponically on my porch it’s gotten huge but I’ve only seen 2 female flowers a ton of males. It’s eating a lot of nutrients. I’m just learning about gardening thanks for the video.
@@bellesbackyard3264 they are good. Just the first time I have had them on pickling cucumbers. Thought I just got a bad batch. Glad to know it's not just mine. I'm in North Carolina, do you have any suggestions to get rid of voles? They have been so bad this year.
Same mine are black thorns this year. I was thinking it was some type of mold, thankfully they tasted good but I’m having a yellowing issue this year as well and I check them daily they’ve never turned green.
@@nicoleh6607 I had 1 plant out of about 20 that did that same thing with the yellowing. I just pulled out up. Didn't want it to mess up the other plants.
A couple of ideas. First rule out water and nutrients. Too little can cause that. It can also be poor pollination. A female flower need to be pollinated several times to be successful. If they are still young and not falling off. Try a potash fertilizer to help.
What about cucumber plants that are not producing flowers at all? Mine is about 3’ I have one with a lot of male flowers and 2 that are not flowering at all.
Good morning. What zone are you in and are they still productive? I’m assuming your in a pretty warm climate. Usually September is the time to start planting your fall crops. Brassicas like cabbage, broccoli ect. It may be time. I’m going to put out a few videos for the fall garden veggies over the next few weeks that may help.
@@bellesbackyard3264 Many thanks Greg for your expertise. They still have alot of flowers and some ti y cucumbers but we have had several cold nights and the leaves are drying . Many thanks for taking time out of your own busy day to help. Greatly appreciate it.

Love how light changes during your video.....
It was the clouds rolling across the field. Love to watch their shadows moving through the field
Excellent video 👏🏽 Thank you. Is it possible to use human potassium vitamin supplements for my cucumber garden?
I have those black spikes on my little cucumbers. They were bought from the local growers and some I started from seed. 😮
They should be good. Let me know how they turn out.
