My father passed away this fall unexpectedly, we used to play the first game together back in the day, i have always seen us as our own Joel and Ellie. So when TLOU2 came out, i, too felt Ellie's loss. I feel so heartbroken to have lost my dad, this game is so special to me. Music like this will always keep my dad alive to me 💙 thank you Edit: Wow its only been a year thats passed since i commented this but thank you everyone for hearing my little story. Everyday is a fight to survive and i admire Ellie's dedication even though we all know revenge solves nothing. The fact of the matter is that life is short and we have to appreciate our loved ones before the universe sweeps them into the stars. Thank you all for coming here 💙 sending my love
I used to do the same thing with my dad. I feel like the relationship between Ellie and Joel is just the same as the relationship that I have with my dad and we have a very bad relationship now so this game hits real close to home, I can definitely feel you.
It's funny how tlou makes me want to be inside the game and explore all the abandoned places and just, you know, experience the post-apocalypse XD it's just that the level of wordbuilding in this game is breathtaking

It's been 4 years since PartII and I'm looking forward to The Las Of Us PartIII. Its gameplay, graphics, music, characters and atmosphere are much more than many games 🔥🔥❤❤👏👏
There's something about these melancholy/lonely games that draws me in so powerfully, they've become personal to me, it's a connection I've never really had up until S.t.a.l.k.e.r, Red Dead 2 and Death Stranding. TLoU1+2 are my favorite games in this aspect, especially considering their story and how they affected me so deeply, I can't help but want to stay in these worlds as bleak and as unwelcoming as they may be, thanks for making these music collections, they really keep these games alive in my mind.
People don't see the true art and creativity that's put into games. It's sad to see that a book gets more praise than a game these days, especially when it's a game like TLOU2. I've never felt so many emotions whilst playing a game in my life. Sadness, rage, fear, hopelessness... It was all there, all so vibrant and real. I would be lost for hours on end, and the soundtrack was the frosting on the cake
I feel like the game will be more loved when the time goes by. Cause at the beginning everyone was excited and when they saw it they didn't like it so everyone hated it.
@@greog1108 appart from Jesse and the pregnant girl (not dina, the other one), I thought the characters were quite good and interesting, now care to elaborate on the plot holes? I can only see 1 or 2, rest seems fine and perfectly logical to me. Not saying it's a perfect game by any means, but it's a really good one imo.
The game itself was wonderful and the message it sent was definitely a lesson to learn, even in real life, it's just that when you play the game for the first time, some events make you want to quit the game at one point, especially since so many people were excited to see a certain duo together throughout the whole game. I personally loved the game if you look at it with a different perspective, I'd say if I haven't played the first game at all and didn't know its plot, I would've been more into TLOU2.
I wish this was on spotify. It has helped so much with my anxiety and depression this past year. And the infinite nights in which I couldn't sleep or cry
man this music is something else, i can't put into words how touching it is as soon as i listen to it i'm almost immediately taken to a peaceful world, looking out into a green field, taking in the smell of the rain in utter silence... sorry if this is terrible i feel like i didn't appreciate the game enough the first time, it is an incredibly moving masterpiece and in fact i can never appreciate it enough
I fall asleep to this every night. The music is so calm as well as the ambience of the game too. I listen to it when i paint or draw too. I really enjoy all of the chill videos you post of this fantastic video game. Keep it going.
The Last of Us is transcendent art. Interactive narrative media is the future. Tolstoy defines art as a way to communicate emotion with the ultimate goal of uniting humanity. This is exactly what the game did for me. I believe that was Neil and The Team's aim. I feel like its a shame that some folks aren't or weren't able to accept that.
One of the greatest video games that ever made... but it is more than a video game, it is also artistic work. I would like to have a friend like Ellie. Masterpiece.
My favorite all time franchise and their are some terrific ones out there. But this one just so effortlessly wears that crown. What a hauntingly beautiful experience it has been to replay these two games over the years 💙
One of the only videos left on RUclips with no ads on it for the whole time. Love you bro, if the internet is eternal may this video be here till the end of it
As a disney child, who's now an adult facing hardships, I truly appreciate this ❤ it keeps the child in me warm and happy. Have a good night's sleep everyone.
So, it's been a while since I played this game and to me was so painful. I've lost my father in 2016, don't spoke much about it until today. I left my home because everything remind me my father. For while I suffer alone, carrying every single pain to myself and in silence. The game came out and see Joel like that...my father was murdered for a couple kids during a robbery. He tried to protect my mom and he got shot. I was in home and i've heard the shot and my mom screaming...the last words of my father in that day before he and my mom left was "I love you son"...I think the game is a master piece, but, it was really difficulty to me for playing it and shared my pain with Ellie! I think everybody that have lost someone feels and understand her pain and have a different experience playing it.
I wasnt really interested in game itself, but this game's sound tracks are OUTSTANDING, i can only asume game is that good itself. I love that all of these are on guitars with this half westernish country but still deep ambiance genre
50 kere yeni baştan oynayıp bitirsem yine oynarım. Şu ana kadar gördüğüm en etkileyici hikayeye sahip oyun. Tebrikler Naughty Dog. LOU Part 3'ü bekliyoruz.
I could spend hours exploring the individual buildings and houses and flats. The remnants of family life, of business activity, of everything that just stopped when the virus spread. There's the supermarket where there is a figures board, there is the almost haunting family photographs in bedrooms and newspapers where once people sat and read.
Hey thanks for getting me through this semester. I always throw on your videos when I'm doing a project or any other work and it's really helped. Honestly, must've played this video in particular about 50 times in the past few months. Keep doing what you're doing, you have some of the best content on this platform
This game gave me closure with The loss of my brother and after seeing the ending I felt at peace as strange as that may sound that’s why I ended up loving it
Doesn't sound strange at all, majority of the story is about how we deal with loss. From the first instance in the first game, when we lose Sarah, games never touched me so quickly in my life. Really glad it helped you find some closure though. Life Reaaaaaaaly sucks sometimes and there's really not much we can do. Hope you have some awesome memories! And remember, we never truly lose anybody. They're with us in our hearts, minds, everything we do each day.
This sequel wasn't as brilliant as the first game, but despite some flaws, I just can't deny how emotional and thought provoking it was. I really loved it. And throughout both games, this music, oh my god it was perfect. I'm glad I was able to enjoy this lovely, sad, divisive piece of art.
To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. may peace and calmness fill your life. ❤
Man I have to say this game hit me with an emotional rollercoaster no movie, book, TV show or game has ever come close to. Both part 1 and part 2 are prime examples of video games being art imo.
It’s funny, I actually played TLOU2 before TLOU so I prefer the second. When I see people hating on the second I feel a little bit disheartened but I understand where they’re coming from. Joel is a great character and I definitely see why people were so upset after playing the first game. Over all a great experience and I truly hope they make a part three about Ellie trying to find Dina and JJ and then hopefully get to see JJ grow up! That would make a really good game.
i am reading Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck to this and there has never been more fitting music for anything i've read than this and the red dead 2 ambience
@Transylvanian MGTOW monk Mie amandoua, putin mai mult a doua. Da am auzit si eu ceva zvonuri....cred ca vor scoate, a doua parte a avut incasari record in industrie
What I like in this game is that it shows that life sometimes gives you a no-win situation. Tragedy is a inherent part of life and sometimes we cannot avoid it. And all that you can do is to decide to make the least worst option (let it go) or allow your inner demons (in this case, revenge) take control of your life, consuming and destroying you and your beloved ones. The very same human being that does wonderful things can do horrendous acts and we need to always have this in mind. Incredible narrative and arguably better that many movies. It touches the deepest parts of your soul and emotions. True masterpiece. And, as a very nice bonus, I got to know the great Gustavo Santaolalla!
This Is just the point of view from an extra in the background watching everything as I have a lot of spare time and a very active imagination. .......... It's raining here in the city and I'm taking refuge under awning of a patio at this apartment building as the rain is falling down real good, my jacket and hood keeps me warm and dry my backpack is filled with some clothes, a couple of bottled waters, some candy, cookies, a few small bags of potatoe chips & chewing gum, I have a pistol in a holster and a lot of ammo on my belt, a rifle with ammo in a special pouch on the side of my backpack, binoculars, a good flashlight, shades, medicine in my side pouch on my gunbelt, when I'm in the big cities I scavenge the grocery stores and convenient stores for food and other necessities and I now have a good 10 speed bike, I'm set for traveling as soon as it stops raining, no TV or weather reports to tell me when its gonna stop, just have to sit it out until it does and it looks like it ain't gonna let up anytime soon so I'll just sit back and take a nap but stay alert.... I haven't seen anyone or anything to be alarmed about in the past 9 months I've been on my own, except for a man a girl going through the city fighting those infected people and i'm well hidden behind this wall and I'm getting drowzy so off to dreamland and take care please, GOD BLESS and g'day y'all.
It is sad that people hate this game because of the story they did not even understand. A lot of people saying it was just simple story about “how revenge is bad and you should not do it“, but they really do not understand true meaning of the story. If you did not understand the story of TLOU2, you do not even understand the story of the first TLOU. Both parts have same point of the story and i tis cost of human life. When you got a mission to bring Ellie to Fireflies as Joel, you killed while gameplay many many people. And a lot of them was same survivor as you, but because they crossed your path, you killed them. When Joel bringed Ellie to Fireflies and he learned that they have to kill Ellie to make the vaccine, he killed many of them just to save someone who is like a daughter to him. But then you realize that all the people you killed just to bring Ellie to Fireflies died practically for nothing, not just survivors but event he Fireflies. Second part has practically the same meaning. Ellie wants to kill Abby because she killed Joel. You kill many people while you are playing the game and many of them were pretty good characters. At the end of the story when Ellie were drowning Abby in the water, Ellie realized something. Something that many players missed and that is the main reason why so many players did not understand why Ellie keep Abby alive. Ellie wanted to forgive Joel that he kept humanity ruined just because he wanted to save her life. But it was to late, Joel died and she could not forgive him anymore. So only way how to show forgiveness was to spare Abbys life. Ellie realized that killing her would not make things any better, maybe it would make it even worse, so she showed forgiveness which made up for her that she could no longer show forgiveness to Joel. And so she reached peace of mind. But then you realize how TLOU and TLOU2 are same, because sparing Abby you are showing that all of that deaths of the people were practically again just for nothing. But TLOU2 story is a little bit more complex, because Ellie did not even kill people just to spare Abby in the end, but she even gave up her friends, family and motivation just to be able to carry on through Joels death. So you can see how this story is actually amazing. It is sad, dark, depressive, unsatisfying and so strong as the story of the first TLOU. This is perfect sequel. I have seen many people hating this game, but I have never seen them hating this game for good reasons. Nearly every player or sheep said the story of TLOU2 sucks because of death of their favorite character or unsatisfying ending, which is not definitely a good reason to say that game sucks. Other people even said it is bad because they do not like the second main character, LGBT characters, playing on guitar instead of playing some rap and pop music and many other shits. A lot of them did not even played the game, did not even see the game and many of haters are just sheeps of some streamers who are just playing normally League of Legends and they barely know something about story games (like Tyler1, who is the streamer who after 1 minute of the story of the game lose attention, even if it was the first TLOU or God of War).
Great title: The last of us part 2 (sequel), the last of us two (us two, as in the last one standing of Joel en Ellie), the last of us part too (as in, even survivors die or lose their way)
I honestly say, TLOU 1+2 is such a game changer, with everything that the world went thru this past year and a half. I wouldn't be surprised the world be the real life TLOU

Thank god for this audio now I don't have to open up two separate tabs for "the last of us 2 ambient music" and "relaxing rain sounds" ;)

And when you get bored of what you're doing, you've company to enjoy the weather with!

@@danybiggg the sudden kick in the music in great
Once the rain started to come down in the game I was completely transported
People don't see the true art and creativity that's put into games. It's sad to see that a book gets more praise than a game these days, especially when it's a game like TLOU2. I've never felt so many emotions whilst playing a game in my life. Sadness, rage, fear, hopelessness... It was all there, all so vibrant and real. I would be lost for hours on end, and the soundtrack was the frosting on the cake
I've literally got goosebumps going up my arms listening to this. I love the atmosphere in both games. And the soundtracks are wonderful.
People were wrong to hate this game. This was actually good
I feel like the game will be more loved when the time goes by. Cause at the beginning everyone was excited and when they saw it they didn't like it so everyone hated it.
@@eliasosorio3683 Both AC Unity and CoD Infinite Warfare was initially hated but people have warmed up to it now. Guess time only tells
The story had too many plot holes and the charcters were too empty and simple.
When I listen to this masterpiece, I try to relax and enjoy.. but my heart breaks at the thought of my brother every time.. rip Jeff 🙏 💔 I miss you
This is one of those moments that you never forget no matter what is happening.
I wish this was on spotify. It has helped so much with my anxiety and depression this past year. And the infinite nights in which I couldn't sleep or cry
Alt title: "Ellie standing in middle of rain in 1 hour"
Sometimes, I feel like I'm Ellie, screaming Joel's name and flying into a fit of madness.
man this music is something else, i can't put into words how touching it is
as soon as i listen to it i'm almost immediately taken to a peaceful world, looking out into a green field, taking in the smell of the rain in utter silence... sorry if this is terrible
i feel like i didn't appreciate the game enough the first time, it is an incredibly moving masterpiece and in fact i can never appreciate it enough
Out of all games, this has the best atmosphere
I fall asleep to this every night. The music is so calm as well as the ambience of the game too. I listen to it when i paint or draw too. I really enjoy all of the chill videos you post of this fantastic video game. Keep it going.
Ik this community is supportive so I'll just leave a comment here, life is hard but man every time I listen to this music it just hits different
I'm an architecture student and I can't get tired of working listening to this.
It makes me feel more emotions that seem real than movies, TV, or...you know..."friends."
Imagine we got a remaster of the first Last of Us with the Part 2 engine. That would be godly
Looks like this could a thing, pretty crazy
dude you called it lol
well it seems like it's in the oven rn
This aged well. :)

Honestly you’re like the best at this ambient music especially with The Last Of Us.
I wasnt really interested in game itself, but this game's sound tracks are OUTSTANDING, i can only asume game is that good itself. I love that all of these are on guitars with this half westernish country but still deep ambiance genre
Gustavo and Mac aren't just musicals they are life changers, I really hope that they work on another game together.
I love all in this game, but this damp and rainy ambience fascinates me...
I listen to this when I struggle to sleep. Like right now. Really helps

I could spend hours exploring the individual buildings and houses and flats. The remnants of family life, of business activity, of everything that just stopped when the virus spread. There's the supermarket where there is a figures board, there is the almost haunting family photographs in bedrooms and newspapers where once people sat and read.
I would gather all TLOU enthusiasts to one big island that gives post apocalyptic vibe just like in the game. But I'm afraid it doesn't happen
If we all pitch in to buy, am down lol
Is it just me, or were the Grand Tetons around Jackson Hole in this game absolutely STUNNING!
This has become my everyday music, very beautiful 🤍
This is amazing. Kinda feels like Red Dead 2
Hey thanks for getting me through this semester. I always throw on your videos when I'm doing a project or any other work and it's really helped. Honestly, must've played this video in particular about 50 times in the past few months. Keep doing what you're doing, you have some of the best content on this platform
my heart is literally exploding with feelings for this epic masterpiece
"Making a cure would have killed you. So I stopped them."
My usual routine in finals is putting these videos and study :(
This game gave me closure with The loss of my brother and after seeing the ending I felt at peace as strange as that may sound that’s why I ended up loving it
Doesn't sound strange at all, majority of the story is about how we deal with loss.

I want this entire games soundtrack played at my funeral… part 1 and part 2
I just found this and I already know this is going to be my new kind of favourite study music :)
Never has a game moved me so much like this one! I never thought I could cry with a game as an adult after the death of Aeris in Final Fantasy 7!

So emotional and so meaningful...
When I'm old, I'm going to buy a ps4 just to relive this game :)
I fuckn love the end of this game, its so dark and beautiful, so alone
This sequel wasn't as brilliant as the first game, but despite some flaws, I just can't deny how emotional and thought provoking it was. I really loved it. And throughout both games, this music, oh my god it was perfect. I'm glad I was able to enjoy this lovely, sad, divisive piece of art.
To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. may peace and calmness fill your life. ❤
Man I have to say this game hit me with an emotional rollercoaster no movie, book, TV show or game has ever come close to. Both part 1 and part 2 are prime examples of video games being art imo.
i was down for weeks because of this game

same, made quite an impression on me
Listening to this while playing Project Zomboid, it just fits so well!
This is literally how seattle looks always
Coming back to this game, time and time again and I mesmerized each time
It’s funny, I actually played TLOU2 before TLOU so I prefer the second.
Your a criminal for playing 2 first tho
@@JDisclmd I know, pisses me off too man

i am reading Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck to this and there has never been more fitting music for anything i've read than this and the red dead 2 ambience

The game industry is separated in 2 parts:The Last of Us 1 and 2 and other games. Amazing work !
And, as a very nice bonus, I got to know the great Gustavo Santaolalla!
this game was crazy man
Que terriblemente buena banda sonora tiene The last Of Us Part II, Que p*ta joya para los oídos!!.
This Is just the point of view from an extra in the background

It's raining here in the city and I'm taking
refuge under awning of a patio at this apartment
building as the rain is falling down real good, my jacket and hood keeps me warm and dry
my backpack is filled with some clothes, a couple of bottled waters, some candy, cookies,
a few small bags of potatoe chips & chewing gum, I have a pistol in a holster and a lot of
ammo on my belt, a rifle with ammo in a special pouch on the side of my backpack, binoculars,
a good flashlight, shades, medicine in my side pouch on my gunbelt, when I'm in the big cities I
scavenge the grocery stores and convenient stores for food and other necessities and I now have
a good 10 speed bike, I'm set for traveling as soon as it stops raining, no TV or weather reports
to tell me when its gonna stop, just have to sit it out until it does and it looks like it ain't gonna let
up anytime soon so I'll just sit back and take a nap but stay alert....
I haven't seen anyone or anything to be alarmed about
in the past 9 months I've been on my own, except for a man a girl going through the city fighting those
infected people and i'm well hidden behind this wall and I'm getting drowzy so off to dreamland and take
care please, GOD BLESS and g'day y'all.
What Santaolalla can do with us is unexplained, his performance is amazing!
Great title: The last of us part 2 (sequel), the last of us two (us two, as in the last one standing of Joel en Ellie), the last of us part too (as in, even survivors die or lose their way)
Wow. Just wow
It seems i m not the only one chilling on this balcony ...
I honestly say, TLOU 1+2 is such a game changer, with everything that the world went thru this past year and a half. I wouldn't be surprised the world be the real life TLOU
Perfect theme for Ellie descending into darkness and sorrow.
