- Appearing as if from nowhere, the 4th form of Godzilla rampages across the globe in search of the Power Surge crystals, motivated by an unknown cause... For this demonstration, the files for Titanosaurus were replaced to give this edited version of Godzilla 1954 playability in the game's Story mode. Very special thanks to Dragozillasaur for their videos originally showcasing this mod in action!

Shin Godzilla wishes it had this kind of blistering speed. Finally putting those legs to good use.
Learned very recently that Shin was actually going to have a very unusual way of quickly locomoting: slithering on its giant tail like a snake. There's an unfinished deleted scene of him using his tail this way, and this ability's even mentioned in the final draft script of the movie! Easy to understand why it was cut, though.

You know, had it not been for this recent 2022 upload, I would have forgotten that Godzilla Unleashed Overhaul existed! Damn, how long has it been since you and GojiRex blessed us with this mod?
Also, kinda curious about the custom sounds, such as the roars and music. If they're MP3s/WAV files, that means we could replace them with other sounds, correct?
It's definitely been quite a long time since GojiRex compiled this mod! As for roars and music, those are saved in specialized formats that can be converted to WAV and then back to the game formats, but it's a lot trickier with monster sound effects. Not only are the sounds confined to the same size/length of whatever file that you're trying to replace, there are additional files that have to be modified using hex programs.
How you were even able to mod this game to this extreme is beyond impressive, though I take it this can only be done on PCs, though I don't recall Unleashed being a PC game.
I also know that someone else made the mods, I believe, but even still they did a damn good job making this 15 year old Wii game look more colourful and nuanced!

This model and set up is pretty good. But now we are going to need another Godzilla game sometime down the road with Shin Godzilla included. Or even the earth Godzilla from that animated movie that would be fun.

I know Shin Godzilla is just a reskin of G54, but still worth asking, right?
If I can patch the vanilla version of the game with G1990s and G1954, I'd rather do runs with them without all the mods or skins in Story mode that way

Shin godzilla was not born on earth but by the vortak. When godzilla defeated spacegodzilla and caused the vortak to flee, they managed to aquire a piece of godzilla flash with a plan to use their own godzilla to defeat him. When they relaunched thier campaign to earth shin was not yet fully developed so they used the other monsters under their control to attack but with the unexpected return of spacegodzilla and the emerging power crystals caused several new problems tye major one being the arrival of another godzilla. With this second godzilla and the newly spawned mutants, the vortak had no choice but to use shin godzilla in an attempt to kill the first godzilla. The fight was brutal but shins slow speed and lack of close range abilities shin ultimately lost and presumably killed, but his regeneration and adaptation soon appeared and alongside absorbing some of the power crystals shin gained a new stronger form but the vortak would lose control over it causing them to make several attempts to regain control. With its abilities, shin quickly went on a rampage across the earth, destroying cities and slaughtering any kaiju that stood against it, even annihilating the vortak soon. Spacegodzilla king ghidorah and the two godzilla's were defeated and shin gained control over the power crystals the vortak desperate attempt to conquer earth caused it to them to lose it to another earth now belong to shin godzilla.

Thanks for the video, SuperGodzillaGaming! It's nice that you have all the campaign mode playthroughs out of the way. Also, thanks for going the extra mile and doing two additional story mode runs with Godzilla 1990s and Godzilla 1954! By the way, I have some questions for you.
1 Now that you've finished uploading all the characters' lenghty story modes, will the future videos in this playthrough be uploaded back to a regular every other day schedule like you would normally do?
2 I'm noticing that when I try to send comments with links in them, they tend to be put in some sort of blocked category causing visibility issues that the uploader of the video has to later unblock. To avoid this in the future if I want to show you something, should I just make a regular comment describing what I want to show you, wait for a reply, and in my reply back post the links?

Is there a proper way to play this on Dolphin without motion controls using a 360 controller? I don't know how to configure them right. This game DEFINITETLY should've supported GameCube controllers. I'd love to be able to play this. Does this Overhaul Project also add Legendary Godzilla? Darn. Was also hoping to see Zilla show up on that New York map. Yes, he's awesome too. This is pretty awesome. I love this game.
i know this is an older video but how exactly did you replace the textures? i tried dragging shins files over and it doesn't change anything. is there a tutorial you know of that i could watch?
No video as far as I know, only thing I'm aware of from the install TXT for GUO is: Under graphics, select "disable fog" on enhancements, "prefetch custom textures" and "load custom textures" on advanced. Textures are loaded in your Dolphin Emulator folder, Load > Textures > RGZE70 > files go here (my texture load folder is in My Documents, but the location of yours may vary)

I know you've likely already been asked this, but how do you go about swapping a monster (Titanosaurus for example) with Shin Godzilla? Same with Godzilla 90s, unless it's the same process
Update: i figured it out, but I'm not sure how you got that story mode render for Shin Godzilla and Godzilla 90s
I swapped out the textures! Assuming you're using the Overhaul mod, you can locate the textures among the others and just replace them with the respective Godzillas.

I've heard the game feels incomplete, especially with whatever the story mode campaign might be. I feel somewhat inclined to wait for DLC to patch things up first, if that's true.
@@SuperGodzillaGaming I personally disagree, although there is potential for more campaigns yeah. But I’ve been grinding for weeks now and still got more to unlock. The games offline vs mode is very fun and the bots are actually challenging. To each their own tho

I like this but Shin isn’t nearly as destructive as it should be. Should be a lot bigger and practically leveling buildings with a single burst.
