Dear viewers This device ( H 96 max plus) has RK 3328 chip, 4GB RAM, 32 GB ROM and android 9.0. if you have other H 96 tv box, you can use this process but use or download its own firmware file from h 96 web site. All firmware upgrades are available on its official web site.

The link on the official website is now wrongly pointing to RK3566 flash drive update. Can you find the firmware files and upload it somewhere?

@@DailySolutions1 That's great! Thank you. I will try it out on my H96 max H2. It's not max plus but I think this is the only chance I can take. The stock Android 7 is not compiled with all the hardware decoders and playing 4K on it is like nightmare.

no you cant for use in that, it has its own file, you can find it on h96 official website, process will be same but use its own firmware file

while doing update plz don't shake or touch data cable and dont stop in between
Not working, as soon you plug the tv box to the usb cable it stops recognition of the tv box and it is not updating... several times, same results.

@@ronaldogonzalez678 First try to do factory reset, there is button inside headphone pin port, just use a tooth pick and press it for 10 sec, check it by doing this

When starting 'Factory Tool' and selecting 'Firmware' before selecting 'run' do you select 'upgrade' or 'restore' ??

If you want upgrade 8.1 then you have to download firmware upgrade for android 8.1 from H96 web site and do same process
