Robert, I really liked this video. I have seen other videos and the influencer goes way to fast. You showed a step by step process and you took your time and explained everything... you are awesome..
I have hooded eyes and I struggle SO BAD with liner, shaping my shadow, etc. any hooded tutes you can give would be amazing. Like-I needed an entire hooded-eyes series 😂
Hi and also hi @LindseyElevated To know about hooded eyes, it's way better to look for tutorials from artists who themselves have hooded eyes and not from someone who doesn't and expect them to provide it for you. I found a good video for eyeliner for hooded eyes and I think you both will find it very helpful: ruclips.net/video/l67MmcffIqo/видео.html If the link is not working then just search for hooded eyes eyeliner tips by @Jessica Vu Hope this helped :)
Shreya Makwana that works really with someone with her eye shape. I have hooded eyes and if I use her trick, this will definitely not work for me. Many have to create it using the bat wing look and Robert mentioned it here briefly and in another video where he answers subscribers questions. This is the first video I followed and really helped. I usually take my wing a little higher up instead of a straight line and turns out beautifully with this method ruclips.net/video/GubnahihSco/видео.html
I’ve watched soo many eyeliner tutorial videos and most are worthless lol But you explaining it the way you do is perfection. Especially about the part where your lower lash line extends. Great tip!!
Dear Robert, you can`t imagine how many eyeliner tutorials I watched and when I tried to follow them it failed for me, but following your technique it came out from the first try. Thank you so much. I love you to the moon and back. I learned a lot of things from you.
After watching quite a bit of your videos I HAD to subscribe, they’re AMAZING! Off to watch ALL of your tutorials ! Thank you for creating amazing content.
I’ve been binge watching all your videos lately. Lol there’s really not many beauty channels that do tutorials anymore and without any drama coming along with it... know what I mean? 😆 but you’re channel is a breath of fresh air and I can come on here and actually learn REAL BEAUTY advice and know that some of the “hacks” are completely dumb and a waste of time. You Definitely know your stuff!! I love ❤️ you and your channel! Especially that giggle you do 😊😉 . Heheehe
I really like the 317 brush for brows too lol. It's so thin it's really good for hair like strokes! I suck at brows but when I have time to play around it's a great brush!
This is the REALEST liner tutorial that I’ve EVER seen. You show how to work with and correct the mistakes, rather than your liner just somehow turning out absolutely magically flawless. I’m determined this time, thank you!🤣😁
I'm late to the party of this video but it works well for me!! I tried it and this technique makes the possibility of failure turns into 0.999%. Love this. Thank you robert!!❤
I’m literally jealous of your first flick mark. I swear- a good makeup artist will have the hands of a surgeon. I am neither a makeup artist OR a surgeon. I just felt compelled to watch this to be able to watch SOMEONE apply Gel Eyeliner...Too Scary for Me.
Omg I'm sooo shocked that I'm ACTUALLY doing something the right way😂😂 I have downturned eyes, so, I've always started with my bottom and drawn up (idk where I learned it... I don't remember ever doing it anyother way🤷🏼) When I started watching this video and saw you teaching that as the correct way I about had a stroke😂😂😂
Robert :) firstly, you are bloody brilliant - first tutorials I can follow, secondly, I would love to add to your video list to do ‘how to’ do the new funky crazy graphic eyeliner designs that are currently in vogue - I don’t get how to do it. Shapes escape me. Regardless you’re ACE! X
Omg I struggle with this so much and your tips make it so much easier - I have definitively been coming in from the wrong angle every single time therefore setting myself up for failure! Thank you for this 👁👁
I know this is an older video (trying to learn as much as possible from you!) but am I the only person who starts at the inside corner? I always start at the inside corner then get at least 3/4 of the way out before I make a wing shape at the corner and join, fill, etc. I've honestly never tried dragging in from the outside, I always make a wing shape like you showed, but then meet that from the inside rather than connect from outside in. Now I'm questioning everything I thought I knew!! 😂😂
Going through your tutorials on the liner trying to figure out with my sheep I how to do a wing liner I have kind of a deeper set by that makes sense in a larger brow bone so it's hard for me to figure out how to make my wing
I tend to keep my liquid liner to three quarters of my inner lid. Any further and I think it's way too much and makes my eyes look smaller. My eyes are similar to yours but my face is small. ( I'm 5ft. as is my little Irish Mother). Am I doing it wrong?
I think the shape of liner is very unique and if you think it’s a flattering shape for you, rock it! I also only go three quarters in most of the time because I have very round, slightly almond and I think the three quarters way onto the lid helps emphasis the almond shape that I like. Make up is just fun, no need to think you’re doing it wrong!! ☺️
Dear Robert I have heavy hooded outer eyelid, meaning my eyeliner looks sharp and flick but once I open my eyes the line breaks/ making a dent. Can you try on a model with hooded outer lids next ? Please ❤️
FYI (for US) anyone looking for the Inglot Duraline Robert mentions I went on the hunt for it and found that Macy's use to carry it but discontinued carrying it a few months ago :( I saw it on Amazon and eBay but I am always hesitant buying it on either because you do not always know who its coming from and if its going to be the real product (I am sure we have all heard stories) I found it online at camerareadycosmetics.com I did do a quick search and it is a real store in Dallas, TX and has good reviews. (some of the other websites I saw the product on had some less than stellar reviews...not going to bother listing those) Would love to hear if anyone found this in any physical stores (specifically in San Diego, CA) I did check Sephora and Ulta with no luck.
Does anyone else feel like...their eyes are actually different shapes? My right eye is more elongated cat eye ish and my right is more almond. I only realized this when I started doing liquid eyeliner bc it would come out different even though I followed these instructions 🙃
Robert, I really liked this video. I have seen other videos and the influencer goes way to fast. You showed a step by step process and you took your time and explained everything... you are awesome..
richard diaz thank you so much Richard!!! 🖤
I've been trying to learn some more about makeup application since that's what I struggle with most in my field. You're an amazing teacher!
Thank u!! 🖤🖤🖤
yes you really are!! liner mystery solved thanks to you!
I have hooded eyes and I struggle SO BAD with liner, shaping my shadow, etc. any hooded tutes you can give would be amazing. Like-I needed an entire hooded-eyes series 😂
E Gmail Same. Like for me my liner is usually skinny AF and I focus more on shadow to open up the eyes and make them look bigger.

Ooo a 5 year old video that was a top youtube hit in the search! Thanks for making this. I find gel so much easier to apply then liquid
applying eye liner is a nightmare for me! cant waitt to try thiss technique!!
I’ve watched soo many eyeliner tutorial videos and most are worthless lol But you explaining it the way you do is perfection. Especially about the part where your lower lash line extends. Great tip!!
You are gifted as a teacher and artist. You are my go-to person. ❤
I have been following your twin James and love his videos. Just started following you! Great tutorial.
Thank you so much!! 🖤🖤🖤
This is the best eyeliner tutorial I’ve seen so far, it’s so helpful. Thank you!🖤
Dear Robert, you can`t imagine how many eyeliner tutorials I watched and when I tried to follow them it failed for me, but following your technique it came out from the first try. Thank you so much. I love you to the moon and back. I learned a lot of things from you.
You are the best!! Subscribed the minute I found you. I love that you focus on helping people look their best. You are so talented!!
Can you do a video on various types of eyeliners and what shape should you go for in different events?
Robert you are amazing ❤️ thank you for saving our uneducated souls 🙏
Omw Robert I could not do a wing liner until I watched this. Thank you so much, also love all your videos...u really rock
Finally a pro makeup artist whose eyeliner doesnt come out in straight line straight away
After watching quite a bit of your videos I HAD to subscribe, they’re AMAZING! Off to watch ALL of your tutorials ! Thank you for creating amazing content.
ROBERT WELSH THIS IS SUPER HELPFUL I've struggled with eyeliner for a long time lol

Dear Robert, please do a video on your favorite eye liner products.
This was well done thank you, your truly have mattered this craft. Brilliant 👏
This was super super helpful! Your videos are a breath of fresh air. 💜
I'm late to the party of this video but it works well for me!! I tried it and this technique makes the possibility of failure turns into 0.999%. Love this. Thank you robert!!❤
💕💕💕 I will practice this
I’m literally jealous of your first flick mark. I swear- a good makeup artist will have the hands of a surgeon. I am neither a makeup artist OR a surgeon. I just felt compelled to watch this to be able to watch SOMEONE apply Gel Eyeliner...Too Scary for Me.
love watching your videos..learning so damn much and ticking off all the insta makeup i learnt. xx
Thanks, man!!! So much easier and so much better!
Great video and easy to duplicate. I've heard of people using baby oil to revamp their dried out gel liner, does this work as well?
Oil can revamp it. But in terms of how long for.. not so much. Oil breaks down makeup eventually! X
Ahh.. Finally got it.. Thank you Robert
Such a helpful video ❣️Thanks Robert

Thank you a technique and suggested tools I think I can finally create a beautiful wing🥰👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😘 Robert I love your style❤️💯
Please do video on types of liner as well
Thank you for this video!! What do you think about eyeliner pen?
Thank you so much, Robert! I just found your channel and you have helped me so much.❤️
Sooo helpful!! Thank you so much ☺️
this video is so helpful, thank you!!
Hi! I have one hooded eyelid and one double :( what do i do? Thanks ! I loved this video by the way! ♥️
I know this is an older video (trying to learn as much as possible from you!) but am I the only person who starts at the inside corner? Sr which is best eyeliner for professional use
This was soooo helpful!
Thank you, I finaly found your video 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I never knew this was how we are supposed to use angeld liner brushes! wow I wish I had this knowledge in the early 2000's scene kid years
Ok...going to fetch the liner i just threw in the trash...need to add more Duraline....this technique really helped!!
Going through your tutorials on the liner trying to figure out with my sheep I how to do a wing liner I have kind of a deeper set by that makes sense in a larger brow bone so it's hard for me to figure out how to make my wing
Great tips! This is going to make doing liner so much easier now!!!! 👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏thank you !!!!!
Have you done a BAT wing tutorial? I would love to see you do it💕😊🇨🇦
What brand of contacts do you use? I'm having trouble finding lenses to actually cover my brown eyes
What gel liner do you recommend? Thanks you for doing these tutorials! Your the best ❤️
What about liner for hooded eyes
Can you do a tutorial for hooded eyes?
i love gel liner but my lashes get in the way :( they are long which are great but they curly up and block me from doing my liner well
I tend to keep my liquid liner to three quarters of my inner lid. Any further and I think it's way too much and makes my eyes look smaller. My eyes are similar to yours but my face is small. ( I'm 5ft. as is my little Irish Mother). Am I doing it wrong?

I do the same thing and find it to work really well with my eye shape and find it flattering on me.
Thanks you for video,!!!
What was the name of the drops for dried up creme makeup? Thank you! 🤍
Inglot duraline
You can use it for dried up liquid lipstick too!
You are the amazing teacher! But it will be hopefull for me ,if u can revommend some gel liner cuz i have hoooded eyes .And its a lil ptoblem for me
I’m rubbish at eyeliner. This really useful.
Whose the one hater that didn’t like this video?! So unnecessary!
Dear Robert
I have heavy hooded outer eyelid, meaning my eyeliner looks sharp and flick but once I open my eyes the line breaks/ making a dent.
Can you try on a model with hooded outer lids next ? Please ❤️
❤
You need to do a tutorial on how to do eyeliner on clients. Please teach usss
I wish I could do tightliner
I've been practicing so much I need a break bc my eye skin is getting irritated from being drawn on and cleaned so I can start over.
ok WE NEED AN UPDATED ONE
I’m sorry, what was the name of those drops?
Inglot duraline
Im gonna practice this technique cause god damn these hooded eyes. Such a struggle 🤣
Thank you so much for doing all that research 😭💕
meanwhile I am holding the angled brush upside down! hahaha
I can feel you holding your breath when you apply the liner 😂
Nyc...
My hoods go past my water line. Urgh. What then? 😫
Robert, I don’t mean to be too forward, but if I move to the UK, can we become best friends? 🤣❤️❤️
I alway felt intimidated by eyeliner when it comes to making a wing. After watching your video I don’t 😊
Does anyone else feel like...their eyes are actually different shapes? My right eye is more elongated cat eye ish and my right is more almond. I only realized this when I started doing liquid eyeliner bc it would come out different even though I followed these instructions 🙃
Does anyone know which contact lenses he is wearing in this 🙈??
Strange the angle in the beginning if the video made u look more like James. Lol
Wow... nobody who call themselves "beauty gurus" or "influencers" could do this kinda explanation
