Season 3 has different writers than season 1. No Michael Chabon, no Akiva Goldsman, no Kirsten Beyer, etc. The showrunner is Terry Matalas who wrote for Star Trek before. He also brought back designers like Doug Drexler, John Eaves and Mike Okuda.
Yep that was what Rob claimed. I heard Terry Matalas had control over the first three of S2 and then the rest went to hell with someone else (Akiva Goldsman). I heard they were bringing more people back, I have not watched anything Matalas did so I don't know, but if they can manage to improve the show, I will be impressed because so far I am not with anything of Nu Trek so far.
It's a teaser, not a trailer. The first full trailer might not come before September. And Brent Spiner will play a different character (probably someone named Soong).
After being greatly disappointed in the first season I didn’t bother with the second. This third season teaser isn’t enough to pique my interest. I may need to see a full trailer
I also skipped S2 so I am not as opposed to falling for this obvious fan service... if you are interested in joining us on The Writer Brothers when it comes out, let me know. Plenty of time to decide before you commit to anything.
I honestly don’t want Raffie in this show. She is not part of Star Trek. I love Seven but she has been incredibly mis-used. I say leave her out of this. Everyone looks great, especially Worf. I hope the writing is better this season. The Orville, I loved it until the time travel episode. They handled it horribly. I will never watch again.
Brent Spiner is to Star Trek what Bill Murray was to Ghostbusters. We won't get him back. Sadly, new Trek just disgusts me, minus a good part of Strange New Worlds. But I am doomed, cursed to keep watching, just in the *hopes* ... that ... a prince will come and kiss that princess, you know? It hurts. So much. To have to watch this. I cannot NOT watch this, and that is pathetic, but ... man ... it's terrible.

Thank you my friend.
Thanks

Nice to see Worf and Beverly again 🥰
They should have been part of Picard from the beginning.
Great reaction video Nerdporeal. I respect RMB's taste and recommendations but I can't take him seriously about Picard S3.
Thanks Grey, the writing team is different and Terry Matalas is leading season 3 instead of Akiva Goldsman and everyone responsible for season 1
@@Nerdporeal Let's hope for something great because I would love to see a return to form for Star Trek.

My Mistake.
Can't believe they got a third!
Me too. I couldn't get past episode 2 of Season 2. How does this get made?
It was known for a while they were doing three seasons. With Terry Matalas it may yet improve....
They need it to sell Paramount Plus so they will ignore negative criticism since they are clearly above it with how they have been acting.
I want Family Guy in space, with love to TOS, what has happened this season? (EDIT SPELLING MISTAKES)

I am in the exact same boat as you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Gave you a like, and a follow. I'm honestly not picking up Picard , because I have no reason to watch it . I'll stick with The Next Generation .
Thank you.

Thank you for the offer. What is the best way to connect?
The inner light music. ( i recognise it ) tng
Most beautiful Trek piece I have heard.... at least one of them!
@@Nerdporeal agreed beautiful
Thanks nerdpol . ( long time mu fault) i haven't seen this yet . ( trailer). More of a teaser agreed on wolf .
Agreed. Miss ya
@@Nerdporeal oh thank you very kind of you .
I'll wait for another trailer before deciding if I'll bite the hit and watch this season. I wasn't thrilled with season 1 and season 2 looked awful.
If Mike approves, then I must watch!
@@Nerdporeal Besides The Orville, the only other show worth watching is The Old Man. It is Mike approved.
What's with the 240p potato video resolution?
RUclips
@@Nerdporeal bs excuse lol
I didn't realize it was stuck on SD when i clicked upload so yeah its on me
unfortunately there's no saving Picard. This is nostalgia bait.
It certainly seems that way. I may go against my better judgement and watch it depending on the trailer.

Her saying Jay El is annoying. Jeri Ryan is playing Jeri Ryan. Orville i was pretty annoyed how they resolved the Kaylon story so quickly

Brent Spiner will be back in some form. I'm still curious if they will somehow bring Data back.
