I feel bad for Kanye. He’s struggling with so many demons and unaddressed trauma. I genuinely don’t get the vibe that he’s an intentionally malicious person, just misguided and misunderstood. Of course, when you possess the level of musical genius that he does, being perceived as crazy comes with the territory. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I dont think he meant to hurt anyone with the slavery comment, he meant to say that at some point, slavery became a mental imprisonment because there were no true revolutions against the white man. He was basically saying that in order for that to last so long, there had to be a passive submission by the blacks. It's almost like they surrendered to the slavery. Kanye is saying that blacks needed to be encouraged to revolt, to overthrow the power of the white man. But there was no encouragement, the majority was overpowering the minority.

I feel so bad for Kanye man he has so much on his shoulders and the fact that he has to be the puppet for the black community is so wrong and he should feel free to express his opinions he should be able to voice what he wants not what others want. I hope one day people will get over this “black people need to say this , do this, act this way” why can he just be himself without having his entire community throwing complete hate towards him. He will no longer be the same and will just be keeping his opinions to himself and not express what he wants to instead the black community with use him to say what they want him to say sad honestly.

No matter how much you accumulate.. Money cannot buy happiness. And it is so so true. It is the exact same reason for why he and Kim grew apart. She quotes from her series ‘I have all the big things. I really feel bad for him 💔 in some cases he could seem like a lost little boy who just needs love and guidance, from the one person he used to always get it from, his Mom, Donda. We all look to our parents for advice, so we can relate, that losing that source is hard and life changing. But for Kanye, Donda was literally his EVERYTHING. No one could encourage him, and lift his spirits like she could. So when you lose that…you feel lost, and sure he can surround his self with new people throughout life, and some may supportive but he can’t replace what everything that Donda was to him…his world. So now he’s looking for love in all the wrong places. And lashing out.

Black folks need to stop trying to put so much stock in everything a black celebrity says. Stop wishing to find validation in entertainers and instead find it within themselves. Enough is enough already. He by far is not a role model...he's just a rapper. I don't wish bad on him or anyone but we as human beings all have a voice box; but instead of speaking positivity amongst our own in our communities, we choose too often to spew hatred and seek violence. Let us speak up for ourselves on our own behalf, do right by each other, and not "wait" for a so-called saving grace, an influential orator, to go to bat for an entire group of people. We've had inspirational speakers in the past and look how it's turned out. Sure, some progressions have been made, but the fabric in this country has been deteriorating between blacks and whites particularly within the last 2 years, and the ghetto in 1968 is still the ghetto in 2018. We are reverting and situations aren't getting any better. We seriously need to stand up for ourselves man and not get soaked in everytime a black celebrity says something we wish to hear. They ain't the be-all-and-end-all to my life. I can tell you that much.

I don't think anyone is looking to Entertainers to save the black race or even be vocal. But images and repetition affect all human brains greatly, from them arise impressions and observations about what is being presented. Often times we map what we see on the rest of the world without thinking. I'm trying to explain how music artists and actors have had the power to elevate or harm our image worldwide for 40 to 50 years and they are the ones affecting our youth. You don't believe in mind control but I in fact know it's a built in part of humanity. Most of us are suggestible and repetition will allow just about anything to pass through the conscious treshhold.
No one is looking for a savior from these people. But it would be unwise to recognize that people who will never meet us make decisions that greatly affect our lives based on caricatures made into brands. Maybe you aren't interested in the psychological aspect and the fact that images and portrayals have power but this is my interest.

@@EisirvanaIusaasetamenYi The power of persuasion is heavy. But I never said I didn't believe in mind control, I'm just not the type to go along with the masses and conform. But from our existence humans have been always looking for someone to follow: from the ancient Israelites serving their idols to Jim Jones. We've always been too easily influenced with or without technology. Why do we vote? Because we want that "savior" to lead us.

He was trying to open up, not play the victim. He has problems with phrasing himself properly, but that shouldn't overpower what is evident in his emotional responses to what they were talking about. He was admitting weakness and disconnection from his community, not trying to blame them for what happened. You can interpret it a whole lot of different ways, but giving him the benefit of the doubt and trying to really understand his situation is important in how you recieve what he says. He has love for his people and cares about what he is to them, I see no fault in that.
