- Hi folks. Thanks for following me on my trucking journey. This week, I didn't get the miles I wanted and had to do a required maintenance on my truck so I couldn't drive as much. Also, I talked to payroll services, but I'm still waiting to get paid for the missing 500 miles. After a week of everyone saying that the pay was correct, they finally found the missing assignment that I was not paid for. In this vlog I also talk about the importance of record keeping. In my experience its just the drivers they like to fuck over. I always say if it's about "safety" then drivers should be paid hourly with overtime like any other normal profession.
Keep all records for 7 yrs. For company and IRS purposes. 36 year driver here. You're doing a great job on these vids.

I started my career on Saturday morning and dropped my 1st load yesterday afternoon. Hopefully I'll catch on as quickly as you have.

Thats why they tell you to hold onto all your BOLs for 14 days. Use that note pad that's what they are thier for, get a notepad and write the info down for your own records

Your pay will always be jacked up! You need to park earlier in the day drive for 8 hrs or 9 hrs and find a spot earlier! They play with your money constantly. Just get used to it.
I have been driving for 11 years, if you want a fast spot to park in. You need to park from 4pm-9pm. Anything after that it will be very difficult to find a spot. Also you need to learn where all the truckstops are and how many spots they have. Good luck, also never drive in bad weather. Park the truck and you will make it far!

Nothing fancy. Just picked up some frozen PF Chang's at Target, cooked it and put it into microwaveable tupperware.
Don't trust the cheese box company.
As soon as you get 3-6 months….move on to another carrier.
