I have just listened to this masterpiece I am currently 15 years old and i am learning flute from past 7 months My target - when i will be 17 years old I will master the skill of playing flute ,. It totally depends on my practice
For all the connoisseurs of this music, this fusion version of Raga Hansadhwani is played by the group called 'Shakti'. This group is a creation of Ustad Zakir Hussain himself. On guitar, it is John McLaughlin, on Flute, it is none other than Guruji, on Pakhawaj, it is Pandit Bhawani Shankar and is accompanied by Rakesh Chaurasia.
Im 56 and so much indian classical music has taken me away to other times & worlds since I first heard it when I was 6 years old! You are blessed that you are perceptive enough to notice the divine vibration in this music; Hariji is certainly playing from his heart and the cosmos! Have youheard the recordings of him playing the 1999 reunion band Remember Shakti? John Mclaughlin on guitar & Zakir Hussain on tabla! One of my favorite bands for decades - they first formed in 1973, then again 1999, then again later and recently7 finshed their huge 50th anniversary tour and new albums! Divine
You really feel this when you listen to Indian classical music. There is something so soothing and heavenly about it. You don't need scientific proof for that. You just know.
But the fact is, Indians nowadays are throwing away their most important part, i.e., Indian classical. Don't know what happened, but I hope that one day Indian classical will be the most well known music system in the world.
I can feel the energy. 1 Wake up early 2 close your eyes 3 turn on this music on youtube 4 and sit quiet without any thoughts going on in mind and just observe what you feel!!! Something so special that u would keep it a secret and give heartiest wishes to pandit hariprasad for his heavenly rendition and for his more to come!! Long live indian classical and my salute to panditji🙏🏻🙏🏻

Following Chaurasia Sir music from past 10 years. Only energy I am getting to stay alone is by listening to this Hamsadhwani. Thanks for uploading this🙏
John Mclaughlin also played guitar (custom built) alongside with Panditji. In this rendition, the instrument that sounded like guitar called sarod played by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan sahib.
Listening to Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia's rendition of Raag Hamsadhwani is an ethereal experience for me. The way he masterfully manipulates the flute transforms the melody into something otherworldly, making me feel as if I'm melting into a state of oneness with the music. His amazing skill not only showcases the beauty of this raag but also deeply resonates with my soul. It's a truly mesmerizing performance.
In this masterpiece of the melody, Panditji created small awesome solo piece between 2.30 to 3.25 minute space. It gives complete insight as to how Krisna mesmerized all gopies and Radha in Vrindavan !!
Hamsadhani is my first choice in any format, vocal, flute or instrument. I use to listen at 2A.M onwards. Unfathomable pleasure prevail all around me. The 1st ray of dawn touch my bed, I leave my bed.

I have just started learning raag hamsadwani on sitar and it has such a nice complex of notes. So i hve been searching this raag on you tube and i found this clip. Now i cant get rid of listening to this
Pandit ji's interpretation of the raga is brilliant...And the raga itself is so vibrant and vivacious... Feel free check out Hamsadhwani (links below) rendered by Pt. Rasiklal Andharia, Ustad Amir Khan and Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan :)
I had listened Hansadhuini in Punjab style, Pandit ji played it in the South Indian style, the raag belonged to originally. Me think do I have words to express my feelings? of course no! long live Indian civilization! God may bless peace and tranquillity to this region.
Zaheer Zulfiqar This is the Hindustani Classical version of Hamsadhwani - In India , there are two styles - namely Hindustani and Carnatic. This particular rendition falls into the Hindustani category.
I love the part where the Pandit's flute flirts with the Guitar (or Mohan Veena, not sure) briefly and then takes charge and runs away with the music .... :) Simply Superb!!
Till now no music had awaken my every cell of the body....this touches to the core of the heart. Throught the video i was in just another world and after this end the first sentence my mind occured is " woaah whatta fucking fabulous this was....finest of the finest

I have listened to Hansdhwani by Jog and Hariprasad that was also beautiful. This is more like a light version. I always remeber Ja tose nahi bolu from film Parivar . It was also great sing by Mannade and Lata . I also enjoyed this recording.
If a human being can play flute so beautifully, then imagine how beautifully would have Lord Krishna played it.
I think Hari Prasad Ji did more riyaaz.. 😝😝 he is a spiritual descendant of our Lord.
