For anyone with questions: she did this because women were treated (and still are) VERY poorly in Afghanistan, and as I understand it, are given far less freedoms than men, and are treated as truly second-class citizens, and the reason why she decided to pretend to be a boy is so she wouldn't suffer for just helping her family

@@Hazbin_Hotel_1643 I can only assume it's extremely dangerous. Because, what would happen to her, going out every day dressed as a boy selling things, when women get beaten just for going outside fully covered, and aren't even allowed to buy food themselves?
