to answer your question at 1:53:24 there is a small mountain right outside the gate of solitude. you can shoot a magelight spell at it and if it hits that mountain in the distance, it gives you a huge amount of xp for alteration. Can confirm it works with ordinator because I did it last week
@@oilybrakes they couldn't find many ways to scale xp with magelight so the calculation is basically distance traveled and magika cost, that mountain is the furthest thing you can find in the game that actually loads in as an impactable surface due to a quirk of how impactable terrain generates
answering your question about expensive alchemy potions in the early game: night shade/blue butterfly wings and blue mountain flowers. they aren't as pricey as the more common ones, but they are easier to sell when potion makers have very little money, and the ingredients are super common.
been doing some anniversary edition playthroughs lately and tried the difficulty BELOW master and its still so difficult only because everything hits too damn hard

Its not that it's too hard, higher difficulties in bethesda games since oblivion just makes enemies "bullet" spnonges.
