@@perimotilaran3228 Democracy is mob rule. A Constitutional Republic relies on electing people who represent them in their district. Those representatives are sworn to uphold the constitution for the good of all of their citizens, not for a select few. This form of government protects individuals from having their rights/property taken away by a majority, mob who think they are entitled to something they didn't earn.

This is a USA CIA Coup and the propaganda machine uses clever edits to spin the story. Democracy Now is part of this propaganda .

It's amazing how people are openly discussing corruption, reforming government structures, and addressing nepotism in government sectors. Today, Bangladesh Bank held a meeting where they openly talked about the Hasina-affiliated group's control over the banking sector and its rampant corruption. This was truly remarkable and gave me hope.

My reaction, feelings, fears and aspirations for Bangladesh
I, along with over 200 million Bangladeshis, feel elated, exhilarated, happy and hopeful since Hasina, the former prime minister has resigned and fled the country. We are feeling that our beloved country Bangladesh is free again; it is free from the curse of Awami League controlled and Hasina led government.
While they have ruled the country for the last fifteen years illegally and with iron fist and have broken every record on human right's abuse that I have witnessed.
At Hasina’s direct command and control people in their thousands have been killed, arrested, abducted, forcibly disappeared, tortured and kept in captivity without any due process.
Political opposition has been totally destroyed and opposition political leaders have been killed, locked up on fictitious charges or disappeared.
Hasina’s government including MPs, civil servants, police officers, members of security agencies and members of her political party have squandered the nation’s wealth, stolen huge sums of foreign aid money and amassed personal fortune locally and abroad.
The judiciary and security services have been politicised and used as an extension and tool of the government’s abuse of power and control of local people.
The nation has lived in fear for over fifteen years and now they are breathing a massive sigh of relief. The brave and audacious young people lifted the curtain of fear and led a protest movement until the despicable and authoritarian regime finally fell.
We are calling it the second independence of Bangladesh. What we are witnessing is a “Bangladesh spring” for a better and brighter future. We are hopeful that this Bangladesh spring will not be destroyed by the illegitimate Arab regimes. I truly feel hopeful that this country will grow stronger and its citizens will remain focused and united.
I have been deeply disturbed by the merciless murder of so many young students by Hasina and her security forces. As more and more bodies are unearthed I feel more and more sick to my core because of the realisation of the size of the massacre.
I am left feeling deeply sad by the brutal measures taken by Hasina’s government but my biggest disappointment is that Hasina and some of her cronies were given a safe passage to escape the country and avoid immediate imprisonment and future prosecution.
Protests have brought freedom and that makes me proud of those young people who delivered to the country freedom when many political parties failed to achieve this through years of struggle.
I have huge concerns that during Bangladesh’s transition from autocracy to democracy, it will be scuppered by the ghosts of Awami League and Hasina’s cronies along with their foreign backers; they may attempt to highjack the country and derail the transitional process.
My fear is that India will play its dirty tricks to destabilise the country and push it further into chaos and violence, which will be used by India as a precursor for invasion of Bangladesh under a security pretext.
I am also concerned that some international powers and institutions will take advantage of this situation and attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the new found movement and their democratic aspirations.
I am extremely concerned that Bangladesh will be forced to accept unfavourable political conditions for economic support from loan sharks and unethical regimes.
I am concerned that economic and political uncertainty may force its people to disunite and fall into disputes.
I want Bangladesh to enjoy total autonomy and independence to determine and develop its own future and be given total support by the international community without interference, or imposition of strings of unethical, colonial and unjust measures.
Bangladesh has a great future with its people who have the most amazingly resilient and entrepreneurial spirit. It is a fertile land where human ideas, natures seedlings and innovations will flourish.

@@user-rg7jt4xp9y hello, thank you for asking these.
I myself studied in an Islamic English medium school. But I want secularism. I do not support Islamic fundamentalism in any shape or form. Every religion has a place in Bangladesh. We have a saying “Dhormo jar jar, desh shobar” it means “your religion belongs to you, but the country belongs to everyone”
First and foremost, there is no clear indication that Jamaat E Islam is committing these hate crimes against hindu minorities. But I will not deny this, there are definitely elements who are trying to target hindus and their establishments. We had some unchecked evidence that the former government’s “chatro league” goons are trying to create mayhem and chaos by targeting minorities, be it Hindus or Christians.
Now the important question is what are we doing about it ? Remember this whole dictatorship toppling is all done by the student demonstrators. There was no coup. We brought down the Hasina government
Thus we are taking preemptive steps to voluntarily protect all our minorities and their establishments. We are also trying to gather funds for minorities who have already been affected by these heinous attacks.
Lastly, we are striving towards true democracy. Law and order is a bit sketchy right now but we’re trying our best to bring back peace. Just in the last hour, we successfully created an interim government led by Nobel laureate Dr. Yunus. I urge you to just search him and see a few videos of him. He’s an amazing person and we’re choosing him willingly.

    BTW, it's "DHAKA".
There was a mass uprising in Bangladesh in 1990 after army general Ershad seized power in 1981 and was a dictator for a decade as the country deteriorated - his party looted the country's coffers and rigged 'elections' to put him in power. Ershad was ousted from power and jailed for a few years...
Unfortunately, the leading parties - BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) led by Khaleda Zia and Awami League led by Sheikh Hasina spent 30 years vying for power... More of the same system of hierarchy that Ershad championed... Zia claimed her late husband Major General Zia was the country's liberator as her right to power, while Hasina claimed her late father Sheikh Mujib, who was the country's founding father was her right to power.
Zia and BNP were allied w/ Jamaat party, who have ties w/ Pakistan and islamist groups.
Hasina and Awami league were allied w/ Ershad's Jatiya party and have ties to India, including the state of West Bengal.
Both Zia and Hasina were PM of Bangladesh... Zia was so bad at managing the country that she was ousted from power in favor of Hasina in the 2000's... Hasina brought a lot of prosperity, business and outside investments to Bangladesh and that was how she retained power and curtailed the power & resources of the BNP for years as the country adopted Russia's form of 'democracy' under Putin to retain power for decades. Unfortunately, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts fully...
When the student protests began, her party did not handle the situation w/ kids gloves like they should have... and the big guns came out w. lethal force and hundreds were killed, thousands were maimed... thousands were disappeared or jailed... And the resentment escalated to fury and rage and the protesters multiplied overnight under the stubborn weight of authoritarianism until the pressure cooker exploded and overran all security and government forces...
Bangladesh is a country smaller than the state of Minnesota but a population (170 million) of HALF of the USA. It is impossible to quell that level of rage and frustration after years of oppression and negligence of that many people who take to the streets...
Israel can deploy lethal weapons to subjugate 1.8 million Palestinians... but when Bangladesh's security forces launched a fraction of that lethal force against Bangladeshis, the population of Dhaka (the capital city) is 10 million (urban) and over 20 million (w/ suburban, linked w/ the city) and it is a BIG mistake to shoot at the beehive that vast. No army can contain a fraction that many enraged civilians... not to mention an entire nation of 170 million people.
The problem now is restoring order... getting people back to work... resumption of government services... resumption of on duty police... protection for the minority groups in Bangladesh who are vulnerable to attacks from radical islamists... gangs and miscreants...
One of the major concerns is that the Jamaat party have been released and brought to the political table. These are the radical islamists who have had ties to hostile foreign entities like the taliban, al qaida, isis and Iran... and those groups are already causing havoc, mayhem and death in Pakistan and Afghanistan. PM Hasina was in the wrong in 2024... but she knew the threat that these groups pose to Bangladesh.

The protests have been hijacked by the BNP and others. Western countries too, especially US, has been actively fomenting this protest against Hasina as revenge for her stand against Israeli genocide. India is using Bangladesh as a buffer state.
India has withdrawn water from two large rivers like Teesta and Padma causing the drying up of those two huge rivers. As a result, the temperature has risen a lot in this region creating a desert like atmosphere. it is having a great deal of impact on the rapid climate change in this region, also made many fisherman, farmers, and local traders give up their professions driving them toward poverty
Besides, using Hasina India got a corridor through Bangladesh to connect the mainland of India with the seven sister states lying on the eastern side of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi customs are not allowed to check those Indian trains passing through Bangladesh using the same corridor facility. it is a threat to Bangladesh sovereignty
India also got control of one of the important seaports named Mongla which is a bit weird because India already has Calcuta seaport very close to Mongla port. We believe they want to install military and spying facilities in that port
Using Hasina India also canceled the project where China was supposed to build the deep sea port in Chittagong by saying they want to build it. But they never took any initiative on that basically it was a bluff from Indian side

Read the recent column written by exiled Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen. She says that Bangladesh is about to descend into an Islamist state like Afghanistan with Sharia law. It is no longer about the student quota movement or about Hasina's resignation or about democracy. The "celebration" has turned into burning of hotels and homes, murder of minorities and political opponents, even two dead bodies are hanging from a bridge in the capital city in typical Talibani style. Nasreen blames this on Hasina, who apparently coddled the Islamists and gave them the stage to destroy Bangladesh. Those people hoping for Md. Yunus to lead Bangladesh are living in a different universe. Dr. Yunus is an outsider with no political standing, who lives in Paris, and is in no position to assume or manage a political position. At best, he can be an advisor, but an advisor to whom - a Taliban-style Jamaat government?

      I'm not agst you !
But agst the kind of ultra religious, the comportment with women and child, also the fact that a lot don't want to be part of the country they move to ( staying between them and don't even try to learn local language),
I saw it in Europe, some cultures have too much difference to get together that's the true, I mean if I go to religious country I will obey the local law I won't start protest agst.
And when I see this kind of people moving here to live sorry but I'm not fond of it at all, I could give you so much exemple that it doesn't work.
Wish you the best but please don't come in Europe
