- Everyone has other plans for Christmas eve, leaving Stephanie alone. She vows that this will be the last one she'll spend without Eric. Sally is feeling depressed until Clarke shows up bringing a nurse and Baby Clarke home to her. Eric tries to get Brooke into the Christmas spirit, and is successful when she opens her gift and finds the gown made out of her new fabric. Taylor tries to get Ridge to fall in love with her.

I feel very bad for steph. She is alone for Christmas eve and day. Those forrester kids just think of themselves and never of their mother. But they expect her to think all the time about them and make time and space for them.
@@trinit2108 true, and that is sad. Even her own children don't give her any attention, love, time and effort. It's so heartbreaking. She was always there for the family. Gave them everything. And nobody thinks about her or gives her respect and effort back. The forrester brats are impossible. She should have moved away and on from these people, especially rigde and Eric (so toxic).

Kristen (New York) and Felicia (Europe) have stayed away for years without any expectations, and they both did not even come back for holidays. They have become closer to their mother, but only after having been alienated from her for years.
Her sons are quite a different matter.
She need to use this quiet time alone and reflect
Taylor is giving Ridge exactly what he wants, to be #1, her top priority. Right now Brooke can’t/won’t do that.
Ridge is not faithful to Brooke, they are supposed to be in a relationship after all; and any opportunity he gets, he wants to take Taylor to bed.

The second time they ended up in a bachelor situation, with Ridge spending alternately a night with one of his "wives", until Stephanie faked a heart attack and triggered Ridge to recommit to Taylor on Stephanie's bedside.

I never understood WHY the women wanted him - but at least they all knew Ridge and his faults quite well and they STILL wanted him.
All marriages happened with their eyes wide open. (or in Shauna's case - Shauna the one forcing that (drunk and invalid) marriage thanks to Quinn - but Shauna then still quickly was aware that Ridge was not done with his former marriage but also did not mind to drag the current-legal wife along for a while).
Guys Taylor wasn't always his second choice. Trish I love what you say about Ridge choosing himself, and his ego first.
Brandy when he's with Brooke he tends to look for something better. He's looked for it in Bridget, Ashley, Katie, Quinn. Currently he can't stay away from Taylor

@@Georgianandlovu Thank you! I watched the first 20 years of the show, but after that the storylines became too cyclical. I could only watch Brooke marry Ridge, or Taylor marry Ridge, so many times before it became a joke. So I stopped watching in 2008. But I’m reconnecting now with all the classic episodes and taking notes as I go.
@@Georgianandlovu I think everyone who still watches The Bold (current episodes) pretty much says the writing and storylines aren't anywhere near as interesting anymore.

Even though Clarke is full of poop, what he did for Sally was very sweet. I think subconsciously he does care he just doesn't understand it. He's still terrible. In this case, ignorance is bliss for Sally.
No wonder Rick turned out the way he did when he was grown. Brooke can't even focus her attention on him. It's all about Ridge and being (rightfully) with Taylor.

No matter how much of a scoundrel he is, Clarke is doing a lot of caring and loving things for Sally. Even though he has his ultimate goal in mind, it's not all an act.
I always said that Clarke was a better husband to Sally than Ridge ever was to Taylor or Brooke.
And he did love Kristen. She was unfaithful to him rather.

@@semoneg2826 I said 'after marriage' and I stand by my statement. This was at least till 2003 or so. After that I stopped watching regularly. If you don't know then you clearly haven't been watching the same show.
After watching this again after 30 years, I am still left to wonder what in the world was supposed to be so great about Brooke. She is just common. There was nothing special about her at all. A money-hungry gold digger who wanted the company and she slept her way to get it but then she lost it and now she is holding on to Ridge for dear life. She was never his destiny, that was her fantasy. What would he love about her? As I watch this again, I am left to wonder why Ridge wasted all of these years that used up things? How pitiful! He loved Taylor and he should have stayed with her. She was so much better for him. He was nothing but a weakling.

Yes ,the show director is trying to bulls...it the audience for so many years, that Brooke is soooo special and irresistible to any Man , when in real life if she just stand next to hunter Tylo, Kathreen would be rather invisible.
