That is the proof of noble Quran's divine origin. Imagine Quran using the same word for describing the light of the sun and moon, it would be a big mistake just like in the bible both sun and the moon is called light which is wrong. Alhamdulillah for Islam

So how exactly does nur mean borrowed light?

"Most scholars of Arabic language and tafseer do not agree that noor is a transient reflection of daw’ (light) and they do not accept that it is not an inherent characteristic; they say that this understanding is in fact taken from the philosophers who study astronomy and nature. From a linguistic and Qur’anic point of view, there is nothing to support this understanding. Therefore this specious argument is completely baseless, especially since many scholars of the Arabic language - such as Ibn as-Sikkeet - said that noor and diya’ are synonymous, and it is not known that there is any differentiation between them from a linguistic point of view"
Well imo "noor" means all light in general.
But dhiya has a narrower active meaning like "illuminating".
The argument for noor (moon) and dhiya (sun) seems ok and doesn't contradict the fact that Allah is An-noor (all light)

Noor just means light in general (all types of light and enlightment)
Dhiya means a particular light from a lighting source. A "lighting" if you will
Allah noor of heavens and earth means He is ALL light of creation.

Brothers and Siters, I had a doubt, my doubt is that why cant god be limited, and why can there only be 1 god and why is it impossible for there to be 2 dieties, and why does god have to be all powerful, why cant he just be more powerful than his creations, please help me, this question disturbs me a lot

@ayaan9094, You will have to talk to me from here, another doubt was in my head, my doubt was why cant there be two gods, both equally powerfull, and both with equal dominion, so they both created an equal amount of creatures, and they are sustained by the draining of liv from the creatures, so for eample, each moment i live, i get clser to death, so that energy goes back to the gods and they are sustained by it, and they also are dependent on each other, please, this doubt stresses me, i cant pray because of it, pleas make dua for me, so i get iman back, its difficult for e to od things as well, please help, please disprove this doubt to me and explain why it is illogical

Now what i understand is u have two questions
1st why can't their be two gods each have its own dominion and each dominion is individually controlled by their supreme deity (god)
2nd why is god all powerful and all the beautiful and good qualities a god owns ?

Ur first question answer is in quran where Allah states with a beautiful example :" A man is controlled by a single man vs a man controlled by a group of man " then Allah asks the human which of them is better !
2nd answers: supposed u r created by a god who doesn't have these qualities aren't then their be flaws in the system ?

Assalamalaikum, brothers and sisters, I have a doubt which disturbs me during salat, it is regarding polytheism, y doubt is that why cant there be 2 gods? Why cant they be dependent on each other and I have doubts that they are fighting but it isnt affecting the universe because they no of the chaos it may bring, why does god have to be all powerful? Why cant he just be more powerful than his creations and why does he need sovereignty over things? Cant he just be ore powerful than his creations to be all powerful? Please help me brothers, this really disturbs me in salat
Extra: I also fell like the 2 gods are Allah and the god of the jews, they are trying to compete to be more worshipped but have agreed not to fight with each other, so thats why the Israel-Palestine war has happened, because one god wants to kill the servants of the other, and also because of this translation of ayat-ul-kursi- Allah! There is no god worthy of worship except him! Why does allah say no god worthy of worship except him, does this mean allah is signalling the existence of other gods, please help me, i fear this ay bring me out of the fold of Islam'
@Blazy, My question is that they are not all powerful, so they need to attack each other this way, please prove to me god has to be all powerful, and that there can only be one, because i feel like god only has to be more powerful than the creations, not infinitely powerful, please also ake dua for me that allah removes this from me and grants me understanding and also pray to him that he becomes pleased with me
Answers aside. These doubts come only during salah and reading Qur'an. It's seitans activity. So think at that time, whatever maybe it I will find its answer after salah. During salah I must concentrate.

Allah has never had ˹any˺ offspring, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what he created, and they would have tried to dominate one another. Glorified is Allah above what they claim!
