- Here are some builds for the Arithmetician/Calculator in Final Fantasy Tactics.
Used as a primary, they aren't overpowered because of due to their poor stats. It becomes overpowered when used on other jobs though, like Black Mages and Summoners.

My favorite thing to do in FFT is make Ramza a Ninja/Calculator, slap a reflect ring on him, and put 4 Mimes in the party. Most battles go Ramza's turn > "Congratulations"
That is a fun team setup just gotta be aware and I'm sure you know that some of the higher tier spells won't be reflected. Nice work 👍

While I do mention it in the video, I don't truly consider it a true Arithmetician as its primary isn't in the Arithmetician job.
But overall they aren't overpowered its their abilities on other jobs for sure. Their stats just aren't great.
The single most OP job in the game.
Unlike Dark Knight, all we have to do to get it is to just play the mages.
To me its their abilities on other jobs. Their base job's stats are just too overall poor.
But when you put it on other mages or a summoner very OP.
Hi!! Does anyone know how to cure my team when the arithmetician perform the magic atacks? everytime when y use the hability and hits my team its only damage not cure like the video, please help i can´t find the way to cure :(
If you have an equipment item that absorbs a particular or certain element that you are casting.
For example, Chameleon Robe if you decide to use Holy. I hope that helps.

Bro @j7Jase, do u know if i can play the Game after finishing it?, i already end the Game but when i start to play i can only play in the last save :(, i save 2 slots one before enter orbone's monastery and the other in the final fights but i cant play when i finish the Game
@@jus7infb There is no new game plus mode. You can't continue after the final battle.
You can still play and do other things in your other save files.

Their abilities are good but the base class sadly isn't lol
On my play on psx, i remember i up then by using sing/dance, since it is a fast skill that dont need turns to activated, it does a good job.
To this day i cant forget my friend face when i did "ramza main job+excalibur+math/ct/5" and won almost every battle in turn one.
It depends on which Sing/Dance ability. Some are incredibly slow to get off and Short Charge doesn't increase its speed unfortunately.
Math Skill is insane as a secondary skill but as a primary they aren't special as they are just too slow.
This is the one class in FF history that I have just never been able to effectively use.
Learn their action abilities, learn Holy, increase their Faith and equip something that can absorb Holy Element.
Their abilities are based on math like multiple, prime numbers and so on.
You can select that and then target everything on the map that matches a certain number and cast the magic for free.
If you can get the first turn, I recommend CT 3, 4, or 5 and then cast Holy, it can be insane

I honestly don't like using their abilities that often lol. But had to make a build video for being a true Calculator/Arithmetician and wanted to show that in their primary they really aren't that special.
Their jobs on other mages though yeah very strong lol
This game has so much charm but does require a lot of grinding. It would be awesome if the equipment, job and ability progression was more aligned and in tune with the development of the story. Basicly I wish there were more story battles in chapters 1 through 4 and I feel like theres a lot of potential of continuing the story into a chapter 5... It would be awesome if Ramza and Alma were the only 2 characters you had in your party and you had to basicly start over and build your team all over again for another chapters 5 through 10! Hey one can dream.
I felt the content was quite a bit and solid at least if I were imagining my first playthrough ever. But there was quite a bit of cut content that didn't make it into the final game like Delita's cut storyline arc.
@J7Jase it is my favorite game ever. I love this game.. I just feel that I would make it better lol.. I haven't played any of the mods but one day I hope to! Thanks for posting about FFT!

Cool build! You actually made this class decent. Although, it is saying much that you didn't create a Calculator build. The original game simply doesn't have as many stat-boosting items as the remake.
Btw I still fail to understand the purpose of dictionaries. A very weak weapon. I remember myself breeding Great Malboros just to get a Madlemgen and imagine my disappointment after I tried using it in battle. Useless thing.
Sorry not sure what you meant exactly though? lol I showed two builds with the the character itself being in the Calculator job so that is being a true Calculator.
I don't really consider their abilities or Math Skill on other jobs. And yes they aren't great weapons

CALCULATED! 😅 I actually don't think they are busted at all. Personally, melee attacks in this game are busted, as are melee skills. Teleporting around the map and slapping everything with holy sword skills or samurai sword spirits imo is waaaay more busted. It's instant, requires no work and looks amazing all at the same time. Math skill while it's pretty good, requires a lot of vested thought into how you want to approach it. Sure you can just spam holy or death all, but you've still got to equip them properly, examine enemies who may be immune and still do the math (unless you're just spamming the menus in and out seeing what potentially hits what.) To me that's not busted, that's reward as they take a bit to get going. Orlandu and Agrias and Ramza are busted.

Its their abilities on other jobs for sure. And in Rendezvous PSP version the skill is banned lol. So yeah Agrias and Orlandeau are beasts there lol which I'll show in the upcoming weeks
Sorry I just don't like using arithmetions aka calculator at all i find it both annoying to mastered to master everything in the game & if i choose to & a waste of my time & I find them to be a weakling sorry. & 😂 yes 3 of my favorite jobs in final fantasy tactics is female knights,mages & summoners I know I sounded crazy & don't worry I do have other favorite jobs too as well other than knights, varies mages including status & summoners
No worries you don't have to play this class. We can choose to play and use what we want. After all it is a single player game , we can have fun and such.
@@J7Jase ikr? & There are people that don't understand me about my collection, my waifu collection & my backlogs of old games, old anime, old manga, old visual novels, old hentai, old hentai manga & old hentai games including hidden gems even though I do get/buy & added to my collection, my waifu collection & my backlogs both old & new stuff equally including hidden gems. Friends of mine used Calculators to great effect but I never had much luck with them. My ninja 🥷🏻 would slaughter all opposition before my calculator could go a second time
Use Calculator secondary on things like a Black Mage. Base Calculators suck despite what some other RUclipsrs say
