Thanks sir for the teaching... I'm a beginners of using gadget for fishing so i want to know how to use it sir. I am clever in mannual fishing. Watching from zamboanga city, Philippines.
Hi from Mauritius. Lots of valuable info in this video. I've learned quite some things from your videos and that has helped me to step up a little more in the jigging game (which I'm fairly new to).
Thank you for your tips which has helped me improve a lot on jigging techniques. I was recently using a Noeby light jigging rod with a Penn PG reel but lost 50% of the fish. Any advice on what i could do better? Was fishing in 50m. Did i not set the hook properly? Putting too much pressure bringing the fish in but lowering rod down too quickly? The japanese hold the rod down and make the reel do the work, that is surprising to me. Been searching the net on how to fight fish on jigging set up and ive tried only pumping until rod is parallel to the water and not more.
I have 1 JM rod, so my experience on them is kind of limited. Id say they are good rods but kind of old tech these days and a bit heavy on the weight. Other than that they are good and still working.
Interesting post! Im definitely for light weight tackle ( as light as possible). What is the average/max weight fish you catch with these 2 setups? Thanks abraço
It's not the gear ratio you should be looking at, it should be the retrieve ratio per crank. It could be any capable brand reel just as long as it has the lowest inches/cm per crank you can find, the slower the retrieve speed is, the better. Ratio does not matter.
@MrZrombak Shimano Stella PG, Shimano Twin Power PG - those are the two I use, in size 6000, 8000 and 10,000 - these are all spinning reels. As I mentioned in the video, for the conventional, I found the Accurate Fury 500N low speed to have the slowest retrieval speed and is my main overhead slow jigging reel - I just changed the handle to a longer one.

everyone who grew up fishing in a 3rd world country has used a handline. I used to deep drop with handlines and catch oilfish when I was younger and it was way more than 100m where we dropped in Cebu. fast jigging? 100-300m? mate u too strong.... I tried 140m 200g jig once and never want to do it again. An electrical reel is a better choice in that depth unless u are John Cena😅
must be using the wrong rod and reel :) quite important to have a PG reel - the rod helps a lot. The rod has to be the right rod too. Jig selection is also important. When you have everything, then it's just really a matter of pacing yourself. Slim jigs help a lot.

your problem of losing 50% of the fish has nothing to do with your gear and has a lot to do with sharks.
Very informative thank you 👍🎣🌟
Thanks :)
Thanks for sharing master 👍
My pleasure!! - if you don't know, check the channel for the give away! it is still going!

Hi Kit,
What do you think about Jigging Masters jigging rods? Especially jigging master VIP Power #3 and up?

In the video is an 8000 and a game type J.
I made a video for an affordable combo with a 6000 size reel - ruclips.net/video/Y_Jk5CjRrtw/видео.html
I have never heard you talk about the actions of the rods. Could you please direct me to a video of yours which has that information?

For fast jigging is it better to get a power gear reel or high gear?
for fast jigging it is always power gear, NEVER high gear.

I wish i can have one of your fishing gears even the old one and you never use it..
I keep all my gear, but I do give aways from brands, so subscribe to join the next one. I gave away a reel last time. Will come around again.
With all the knowledge and yet..still no fish
