These people have more interesting conversation than most people I meet that have money. I work at a wine bar and eventually everything just blends together, going on a cruise, going to dinner, etc.
For those of y’all bashing this gentleman I’m sure he didn’t choose to be homeless your literally one circumstance from homelessness and it’s hard to get back on your feet when you barely have family/support system to rely on
It's a sad day in the United States when WE have let our great country get into such a bad BAD shape of affairs.. I'm not far off from being homeless myself... I will have to make some hard HARD decisions soon... So I have so much empathy for this man as a former Veteran. There should be programs to help our Veterans as much as we can or finding housing and placing them in a job IF they can be or are able to...
This is why the US is a sad pathetic failed state. I remember my first trip to DC, Obama was recently inaugurated. Meanwhile within eyeshot of the Whitehouse we're plenty of homeless, mostly people of color, on virtually every block. I remember distinctly thinking as a black man who looked to be in his 50s ish and while clearly not in a good way, he didn't seem to have the shakes or suffering from other drug related effects or missing a bunch of teeth or seriously jacked up from years of homeless, anyways that man was washing his clothes in a public fountain, while America's first family is living in the most prestigious housing in the United States. Don't get me wrong I'm not blaming Obama for this, I'm just saying the stark contrast was surreal and disappointing to say the least. Things have only gotten much worse since then though.
I mean, this is just ridiculous. That this gentleman is homeless next to the White House is ridiculous. The United States of America: the wealthiest country on Earth can't be bothered looking after the people that live in it. The rest of the world is looking at this man and wondering what the hell the people that are running this country think they're doing.
More like the poorest county on earth. All they have is debt. Incredible amounts of debt. For a rich country, try Norway. Sadly they have homeless people too.
@@ErikamGar No, that's not the reason that there are increasing numbers of homeless people some of whom work 2 or three jobs and still can't afford to pay rent. Rich people in America are doing better than ever. Debt only enters the conversation when it concerns ordinary working people. Meanwhile the ultra-rich are partying in San Tropez thanks to loopholes in the tax laws that enables them to avoid paying any tax. The rich outsourced labor off-shore years ago so there's no jobs, and they jacked up the rents because of course they own the buildings.
I'm afraid the system is designed this way. Chronic unemployment and homelessness is good for business, because it makes people willing to work for low wages and bad working conditions, for fear of being unemployed and homelessness themselves. Businesses and property owners benefit from these conditions.
Yes its furiating, America last. Billions to other counties. He's an ex vet this is disgraceful he's a smart man who deserves better. The fact that any president can sit their millionaire ass in the White House looking at the homeless outside and not bat an eye is absolutely disgusting.
I think people don’t understand that homeless people are really suffering they just think that they choose to be homeless or gave up their right to have a roof by making bad choices. No one in this life can predict what the future holds so one way to resolve this issue to to help another when we can because no one else is going to help! Our government gives billions of taxed dollars to foriegn countries. Our cities spend millions of taxed dollars to build civil buildings, museums, libraries, parks, roads, bridges, animal adoption centers, etc. Our government and cities should built sleeping night shelters ( Chinese style pods) with showers and toilets availability. Our soldiers should oversee these drug free facilities, if they can safeguard foreigners in their countries, they can help homeless Americans. All churches in America should feed the hungry. We pay taxes, taxes, taxes, taxes! Every American deserves a safe place to sleep, showers, and toilet use daily. Our government officials should stop mismanaging our tax dollars. ❤🇺🇸❤

I was a homeless veteran. So, I have an opinion about the helplessness and virtue signaling placed on homeless veterans. Veterans tend to be resilient people, but I believe there is the danger of becoming institutionalized in the military and that is why some veteran's struggle when it comes to civilian life. The military is structured income wise, socially there is a strict order, and when you no longer have things you've earned like respect, rank, and some even associate identity and purpose with the military you can fall off mentally. Everything is structure to the hair on your head and the laces in your boots. The man's wish, like, they need to give more jobs, job without so many qualifications that are easy to get. His wish is here and now. He was under the influence of something, so that why he may have trouble with a job. Men his age likely had a family and children they abandoned or had to leave due to other reasons. Why no family? Adult children? My point is that all of people hardships can't be attributed to other people or institutions, they have themselves to blame.
Its such a sad turnout of life affairs. And to end up in the dangers of homelessness and the streets. People who put their lives on the line for this country, the democracy, and for the freedom that we have which seems to be rapidly taken away by our extremesist political atmosphere and vass corruption from almost all political theater, from the top all the way down to city, local, and community politics. This disease is spreading. My friend put it well yesterday as we were talking about good and evil. And you just replace those words with empathy and narcississism, it makes it quite clear. This is a disease of the human race and is dispicable the treatment the marginalized, poor, people of color, LGBTQ, Indigenous, homeless and lets just say anyone that is not a white skinned fascist and follows their ideals. We are nothing to them. We need to more than demand change at this point. We need to make change happen. I also want to note, that you gotta notice 9 out of 10 , these humans wishes are almost always for the betterment of all others. I pray they come true. God bless this man, i pray he finds his way off the streets. Thank you, mark for another great interview.❤
We should never knock everyone who finds themselves in these situations as some of them are here because of circumstances beyond their control. Let us pray that their situations change and they can be housed. (In a moment this could be one of us)😢.
Get a job?…people need a hub with facilities to wash,be clean, hang ur clothes and rest properly. I detest the goons that say ..get a job,not so easy..plus so much criteria to get set up lthen there’s age related aspects, So don’t judge poorer people .
I love this site and consider it just about the only doing any real good but sometimes you have to be careful of siting the location its not like you are going to shame the government into acknowledging they created it around, I watched it about 1980 from about the same location , what no one sees to grasp is that in the free market before government came to "help", the drug additcts all but few had shelter and they paid for it
This is sad I was homeless at one point In 2013 till 2018 not easy and the reason was because I was fooled to work at a sales company kirby and make me quit my security job that I was ok financially I was making 15 an hour and great hours but the thing is this crap of sales I sold 3 Kirby all on checks people wrote 2600$ each only to get paid 550$ and my boss keeps 7000$ I litterly argued with him and said that I’m new and that’s it I litterly couldn’t pay my rent with this and just left and started all over again and now I’m doing Uber and doordash way better
Mark you need to ask Milton things like "What did you do in the Military". "Do you have a trade?". Maybe he's a Welder & maybe my business needs a Welder. Companies out-there might be looking for just such a person. Put this in your videos Mark to help him better.

You never know where help might come on this global platform!!
@@OpinionatedNomad I understand, but being homeless for so long, and everyone has their own issues and crisis, what's the chances....
A fully furnished 3bhk flat in good locality costs USD500 in rent per month. Electricity will cost is USD20. Total cost of leaving is less than USD 800. Why don't these people come to lndia to live their remaining life.
The fact that any president can sit their millionaire ass in the White House looking at the homeless outside and not bat an eye is absolutely disgusting.
Amen 🙏 please pray for our country ❤
That's awful.
This is so sad.
No veteran should be homeless..
I had a dream last night. That i had a job and got fired. A job ive not procured. You know its bad when u loose jobs in your sleep.
🙏🙏🙏
God bless you.
I think people don’t understand that homeless people are really suffering they just think that they choose to be homeless or gave up their right to have a roof by making bad choices. No one in this life can predict what the future holds so one way to resolve this issue to to help another when we can because no one else is going to help! If they had family and friends they wouldn’t be homeless if they had the resources to get housing they wouldn’t be homeless. ❤
Well, I think all these souls will be in a better place ( in the next life ) once their bodies return to dust. I think 95 percent world of population ( including me ) are mentally struggling. I think this will not end until we see the return of Jesus Christ.
I lost my damn job because of covid and lost my apartment because I got to sick to work and health declined
This is so unfortunate and a lonely experience!
AMEN!
you stopped interviewing and now youre interviewing again great job
Never stopped. Because of the criminalization and displacement, it's harder to get interviews
I live in New Jersey he is welcome to live with me ❤get him on a bus 🚌
Billionaires and other people need to pay full taxes America has plenty of money to give people in need of housing and rooms and medical assistance
These rich people need to help the poor
We all can help the poor for safe neighborhoods
may GOD bless him and help him also, amen
I honor you sir. Both of you. 🫡
We gotta set up a gofundme for this vet to get housing!
Its a shame what this Country does to our Veterans.God bless our Veterans and the homeless.Such a Shame.
Absolutely disgraceful. This man is educated and a veteran and homeless across from the White House. Come on America we can do better.
We need asap to start helping our own. The government needs to make this a top priority.
Let’s help our veterans ❤mercy 😢
the Homeless Industrial Complex MUST be examined for its profits to whom AND WHY the numbers are steadily increasing!
Hotels, motels, shelters are housing a few of the homeless people
The homeless sector is housing more people than it ever has. the numbers are increasing not because nonprofits aren't working their asses off, but because of the affroble housing crisis. For every $100 in median rent, homelessness increases 9%
Many more to come too.
😢
Tunnels to Towers should build him a home...or at least supplement some rent for a town home or duplex or Apt
None of the new arrivals are street homeless
Because asylum seekers are the responsibility of UNHCR - that’s who faculties logistics including paying various vendors not US taxpayers
Our homeless vets are not treated right. Meanwhile The open invitation to come over the border and get housing exists.
God bless our veterans ❤
❤
Yet we send billions upon billions to a country most can’t even find on a map.
Yes because it’s the right thing to do. SuperJoe 2024
Wasn’t aware of the Bs sent to other countries like you say!
Milton for president!!
He's more coherent than Biden...
Smfh thank you for serving our country this old man deserves a home seems like a good dude unfortunately….. THERE ARE some people homeless for years abusing the whole system making excuses being lazy smh making it worse for the ones who really need help the most help make it so impossible this system in American is so broken
I'm homeless for maybe a couple of months but I have a plan to end it with my Father in Heavens help. In my case its hard to come up with.the $'s to get on an apt
AMERICA NOT NOTHING! ITS FALLING HARD! TREAT PEOPLE LIKE NOTHING AND THIS COUNTRY WILL REAP!

The so called "war on poverty" has and continues to be a fail of epic proportions. Where is the humanity? 💔
But look at the record profits!
@@rustyshackleford4801 Ikr
The war on poverty has helped countless people, maybe Blame Capitalism next time ? Just Saying
There isn't much humanity left, especially in the U.S.. We have been transformed into a neoliberal economics society owned and ran by markets 🟪
@@thomas45081 We are a corporation #corporateamerica Profit over people. Beyond gross 😷
He should try San Diego and the veterans program here.
We should never knock everyone who finds themselves in these situations as some of them are here because of circumstances beyond their control. Let us pray that their situations change and they can be housed. (In a moment this could be one of us)😢.
A man who served for the USA, and homeless. Not acceptable in any means.
🕊🙏🕊
WHAT A KIND SOAL🙏💯BEST INFORMATION 1 COULD EVER HERE THANKS FOR SHARING💯
Pray alwats sir.
7:25. Now that's irony.
He's a disabled veteran. Better off than most homeless. He gets monthly compensation
to what bank about?
Please let the interviewing person answer and stop cutting them off.
2024 is your year!!!
Get a job?…people need a hub with facilities to wash,be clean, hang ur clothes and rest properly.
I detest the goons that say ..get a job,not so easy..plus so much criteria to get set up lthen there’s age related aspects,
So don’t judge poorer people .
I love u😊
We really need to prioritize veterans. No one should have to sacrifice and fight for their country only to live in such bleakness 😔
They got paid like everyone else.
The meek shall inherit the earth ✝️🙏😇❤️
Does he have a cash app .. some of this people u interviewed if they have a phone .. cash would be good so they will get the next meal ..
Mark you need to ask Milton things like "What did you do in the Military". "Do you have a trade?". Maybe he's a Welder & maybe my business needs a Welder. Companies out-there might be looking for just such a person. Put this in your videos Mark to help him better.
