This was a wholesome segment. I identify with the struggles of being a first child and being a responsible one or rather having to always be the bigger person, I think the role of being a deputy parent can somewhat creep up on us very quickly and we end up feeling like we are robbed of our childhood. So it's good to hear you had that convo with Hakoe, it's something that I'm certain made her feel heard and seen. in a nutshell, you guys are simply amazing.
Look, I don't even have a boyfriend. Lots of steps before I'm a parent. Thanks for the broadening of my mind AND HEART for/towards my kids. I have a niece who is now my favourite human being. Parenting her has been a touch-and-go thing because, though I see her as my own, I haven't really thought about being intentional in doing it. My husband and I noticed that most of our friend that grew up in a home with a present father have a very different kind of confidence, in a positive way. They are always so sure of themselves. Fathers done have to be in the home to be present. Wish more men Understood this
