      I was amazed at how much money it saved when I first started doing it, I didn't really understand how, until I realised how much waste was occurring because of the ease of heading to a shop all the time :D

    Teens will eat the bark off trees if they are hungry enough lolol never worry that they are getting enough people! I saw someone in japan making okinomiyaki (sp) on a video recently and I was like OMG I know this recipe from Nyassa lolol

      Heinz big red was a common thing on our shelves when I was a kid! This is better but at the same time doesn’t have quite the nostalgia component heh

    Everything looks delicious. I wish I knew how to cook like you ❤. Also my mom would take bread put it in pieces fry in butter or lard fry until crispy then put egg over and fried until eggs are done. I still do it once in awhile ❤❤

      I've found that some of the bread I've made because it already has fat in it, doesn't need fat in the pan to cook! its been a learning curve of what breads do what when toasting on a pan lol!
      Eggs on toast are just a good solid meal :D

    I really struggle with tomato soup lol. I know I make a tasty one, and I used to get asked all the time as a chef to make it lol. I taste it and know it's good, but my mum used to make the canned tin soup with UHT milk when I was a kid and I'm permanently traumatised 😂😂 great video as usual

    Hey Nyssa, just wanted to tell you I've bought a grain mill, I did buy the one which attaches to the kitchen aid but it overheats my machine, I don't want to stuff it up so I ended up buying one from skippy grain mill, the bread I made with what I got from the kitchen aid grinder was so yummy, but I only have the artisan model not the one you have which I think would work better. Anyway I thought you'd be one to celebrate with me. Hope you are well and that your tooth is behaving. Xx

    Thank you, Nyssa for sharing another wonderful video. Love your cooking! I cook similarly as I make dinner, I prep or do ahead as much as possible for the next day. I know you are reviving your sourdough but what recipe are you currently using with the yeast? I received sourdough starter from my sister-in-law and have made flatbread, tortillas, crackers and desserts but I have not done bread! I think a series on just your sourdough recipes would be cool! ❤

      I've been doing some variations, some with a bit of enrichment and some just straight flour salt and water, none of them are really 'perfect' for me atm! But I always heavily get recomended the pantry mamas discard loaf and the thermomumma jumbo loaf! :D

      I just use rolled oats, but basically turn them into quick oats with the Thermomix, so I suppose I could skip that if I bought quick oats, but I like having rolled ones for standard porridge and for biscuits etc hehe :D

    Nyssa please go to your dentist my old next door neighbour did what you are doing and ended up in hospital getting part of his jawbone removed as the infection had travelled. I know how you feel as I am phobic about dentists but it is dangerous to let this continue. I know I'm nagging it's the mum gene lol

    I’ve been eating a lot of eggs and bacon at the moment too. The new fruit and veg shop nearby closed up. A shame. I have a load of soil (free and unexpected but so chuffed) coming today so I’ve got to get out and move some stuff in preparation. However, I took a delay to watch your video. I had porridge this morning but now I feel like bacon eggs - lunch I think. I think tomato soup will need to go on the menu soon here. Thanks for the idea.

      Eggs are such a solid food item, especially when you have chooks and none of us have any cholesterol issues so we tend to gorge a little hehe :D

      I've still used the bbq for a few things, I think the biggest issue I have with the oven is that the doors get so hot and its awkward to get things in and out of sometimes, the bbq was so simple! I don't think I'll ever not have the bbq available as well, so I have that choice!
      I love the hotplates though, the 6 burners all there nice and easy, that is wonderful.

    Missed you! We are getting lots of eggs too! Its quite a bit early too! Must be the warmer weather! We have geese eggs too! They've huge! Have you cooked with them before? Id like to have a try at egg pasta with them. Not sure how many chicken eggs would equal a goose egg!

      Hi Adele, I use a Thermomix, in Australia I can help you with pricing and purchase (it’s quite an investment :)) but if you are outside of Australia there’s a website for each country where they’ll match you up with a consultant :)

    Pull the centre out of a slice of bread and then cook the egg in the centre, don’t waste the bread piece, cook that at the same time, my husband does this for the grandkids.

      I think its just the same burn, I knocked the healing skin off it at one point and its still actually got quite a mark on my hand, I got myself good!
      Tooth is a lot better than it was, but its still got infection in it unfortunately :S

      Yes, but it is the kids job hehe, I wash as I go to a degree but it’s the kids job to do the main dishes each day! We’d love a dishwasher, it’s far more water efficient, but atm we’d struggle to power it, so for now, hand washing it is heh

      I'm not sure I have one honestly! I tend to go for blues and greens though, I'm not a fan of pink, I like red, but its gotten a little harsh/bright for me at times now, so I'll lean to more the blues and greens/peaceful colours :D.

      @@suelamond4060 The mugs only came in set colours the one I'm using currently, it was a two pack with black and green in it, so I chose green of those two! but I think part of it is that the Our Small Footprint logos are in greens so I like to continue that as well! :D And yes, to a degree, it really depends on what is avail in my size clothing wise, I used to just buy black, and then have my louder pants, but I've since changed that and I try and have some brighter coloured shirts these days!
