  • About the HIP programme :
Having trained more than 1900 senior engineers ( CE , 2E , Master CO) and officers belonging to companies and hundreds of pre sea cadets I am now venturing out to introduce a HYDRAULIC INITIATION PROGRAM to reach out to Junior Engineers.Normally companies sponsor only CE and 2E.
The programme will be of roughly 4 Hrs Duration preferably on a Monday-- pm hrs
This program will cover only the basics .More advanced conceptual topics, equipment specific topics etc will eventually be introduced in a phased manner basis the responses , subscribers requests etc.
The First Three 3 programmes will be FREE ,on a FIRST COME BASIS , but limited to 12 persons to be able to maintain --Interactivity and Quality.
If there is good response it we can continue thereafter on chargeable basis which will be worked out in due course
My target - upto Ranks of 3E .However this is not restrictive and others are also welcome.
This page will constantly be updated to reflect latest information, proposed dates, time, charges , NEXT course etc etc.
Other enhanced topic based programmes may follow basis requests from subscribers..Details of all these will be made available here -- as appropriate.
Other regular updates as relevant will be made available in site as well as You tube community posts and linkedin.

Just attended the course today itself. Initially, questions asked by Sir were really challenging which awakened my interest in learning the basics after so many years. To begin with hydraulic understanding , I feel that this course is must. I request to conduct advance courses as well for the same. This is the foundation course and will be definitely helpful for all the hydraulic systems onboard including ME engine, winch windlass, VRCS , hatch cover system. Request to form a group of all your students and keep us informed about all your future courses. The way of teaching was very interesting and in a very simple language. Thanks a lot, Sir

I had zero knowledge before attending the hydraulic course conducted by Ramesh Sir. Ramesh Sir is an amazing teacher who uses the best presentations and animations you won’t find anywhere else in the market. He explained the basics, such as pumps, motors, and symbols, and dispelled many myths about hydraulics. It was worth spending 4 hours on. I’m looking forward to attending more courses in the near future. At the end of the course, I feel there is too much to learn in life.

On one of my ship anchor was not heaving up, on checking observed the operating lever not kept in correct position.
It got one position - anchor heaving, second- anchor + mooring winch and third was mooring winch only.
The bosun was operating in anchor + mooring winch position.
Once put the operating lever to anchor it started working fine.
My advise to seniors be present in anhor operation and check different pressure s at different point.

Kindly help to understand.. it's about Stern tube air seal air pressure......how exactly air pressure of air seal chamber of stern tube is changing as ships draft changing??..... from where and how it is getting idea of draft change to change air chamber air pressure??.. I have checked all part of air control unit but i couldn't get it..... But i observed air seal air pressure as draft change

    • @rmetcvideos
      @rmetcvideos  Месяц назад

I have not worked on it and not seen it. ANyway What I Learnt from others is that the pressure adjusts with draft.Obviously there must be pressure sensors or inputs coming to the computing systems which determines the pressure.Anyway we all know that in many ships Chief Officer gets the draft in his lodicator or other instruments in CCR.Sawme type of input might be made available to this system as well.
