How could a person afford to buy a house even anymore. Now-a-days, it would be a hand me down from a previous family member I feel. That fish sandwich looks so good!!!!
That is what I did to make money to buy my property and build my cabins that I rent out, I remodeled victorian homes, and some commercial properties and 2 apartment buildings..I had partners who put up most of the cash to buy the properties and i gutted them and remodeled them..I did everything from demo to electrical ,plumbing, doors, windows, flooring, roofing, drywall, painting, etc.,Always a new kitchen and bathroom, tile and hardwood floors..But I did do several Victorian homes, mostly made them into several apartments..But learned alot refinishing all of that wood on both the exteriors and interiors..It was alot easier back then when I was into that business, but there are still opportunities out there..I worked remodeling properties for a real estate company for over a decade before I started my own business doing exactly the same thing..And then I bought several forest properties that were only trees, to build cabins to rent out..Worst house in the decent neighborhoods, no further than 20-30 minutes from a Home Depot/Walmart was my goal..Neighborhoods and towns/cities have a cycle..They get run down, and then go through a rebuilding process as long as there are universities/hospitals/tech business/ coffee culture, etc., It's good to get property cheap, when the rebuilding/renaissance cycle is just starting..
@@IntoTheMystery13 Well, the reality is that I had almost two decades of experience, and investors who knew my skill set, who were willing to invest lots of money to make lots of money..Although I've known lots of real estate minded guys who have flipped houses with zero experience and who have been successful..If you don't have the cash to buy a property outright, or an investor, the only option is a seller willing to finance, which happens alot, because it's no risk for them, if you default, they keep your money, and finance the property to someone else..Your a guy who is a DIY'er, so I'm sure it's for you, there is nothing more worth your time and energy than real estate, it's just a fact..And many people have been successful starting out with an owner financed property..My first house I paid $25,000 for, I put in a kitchen and bathroom, some simple plumbing, and some flooring, a paint job, and some simple landscaping and sold it for $135,000..I bought the kitchen cabinets second hand, they, were cheap but nice, I only had around 10 grand in building products..Finding a partner is also a good option..

I really like the Chinooks too. But I couldn't get past that rear door. I either haul a motorcycle on the bumper or tow a trailer. Chinook briefly made a side entry on the short ones, but you don't see them for sale very often. So, I went with a Ford Transit and had Quadvan convert it to 4WD. Now if I could just finish the camper part.
@@IntoTheMystery13 I think it was a little over $13k for just the conversion. I had them do other upgrades while it was there and up on their lift. I know they've had at least 1 price increase. Edit: I should add that after I gave up on a Chinook, I bought a Winnebago Travato that was built on a Dodge Ram ProMaster van w/front wheel drive. I got stuck once and just couldn't go where I wanted to go several times. Usually, it was uphill on a low traction surface. That's when I decided to go with a Quadvan.
You should see the old buildings here in Yorkshire, England - there's a pub dating back to 1533 not far from where I live. Also, you haven't had a good fish butty (sandwich) until you've been here and tried the real thing
By the way, me and my boy (15 years old now 😯) used to watch your vanlife videos waaay back. You sent us some sticky stickers, they were too sticky and they're stuck forever to a bench in my van
I drove on the beach and the guy says I might want to lower the air in my tires a lot so I didn't get stuck. I was skeptical and said so far I'm ok and he says if I get stuck then lower pressure. That was probably 30 years ago. I'm still an idiot today but I know a little bit more.

those are black tail deer they are small the big ones are white tail deer. That was an immature bald eagle probably last year's baby with its parents. It takes five years for them to get the full white head and tail.
It’s one of the many. The west coast is overdue for an earthquake and tsunami that will wipe out a lot of the west coast. Volcano activity is possible too. There is 37% chance of at least a 7.0 earthquake in the next 50 years. Those odds are too high for me to spend 500k+ you can get them much cheaper in the Midwest though. Maybe someday I will.
