You were the very first "van lifer" I got into to back about 7 years ago when I purchased my travel trailer. So good to see you back on the Youber of Tubers☺️✌🏼❣️
I remember your old Astro van videos back in the day. Best of luck getting your channel back up. A lot of creators say the adsense isnt what it used to be back then. Maybe some sponsor deals in your future 👌
Jed great video, I’m somewhat of a Introvert and that was one of the reasons I built my van, so I could go out on what I called my mental retreats to recharge. I get it 👍🏻be safe.
I've been here since the beginning. You're like an old friend at this point. I've been considering a 4Runner with roof box like you have after over 7 years in my minivan. Maybe later in the year I can get a deal on a 2024 after the new models arrive.
Bro I'm in Eugene and the tree's can lick my taint, 500+ count the other day and I felt like I was dying. Today isn't any better but the meds are finally working. Still stoked to see you looking and talking so positive!
Prolly better off that you don’t have a rig that you can dwell in. Cause the reality of van life can also be very depressing and isolating. Your setup is badass and it keeps you out in the world. Keep pushing brotha. I can relate to feeling like a broken alien in this world. You have my support from up here in the Olympic Peninsula.
@@IntoTheMystery13 yea man I used to live in my 1985 Toy home. Prolly have some brain damage from all the mold in that leaky old rig. Ripped the roof off and renovated every square inch and if I don’t keep a constant air flow mold still starts growing fast.
Glad you’re making videos again. I can’t do van 🚐 life again, now I just want my own place on some land in Virginia that’s the goal. Traveling ain’t my thing, once I’m in Virginia I can explore all over there the camps the rivers the lakes the hiking the trails etc. so much compared to Vegas life. I hope you find your spot that you don’t ever want to leave. I grew up in the dry desert 🏜️ so Virginia once I saw that I was in heaven ❤
There are quite a few areas like that where I'm from in Arkansas. Old neighborhoods and towns that are a shadow of their former selves. Kind of neat to look at and sense all the history but on the other hand kind of sobering to know how temporary and fleeting so many things in life are. The home and house I grew up in are long gone, reduced to an ugly, overgrown lot. Heck, I recently watched this huge old mansion get demolished and thought, who knows how many people paid who knows how much money to live there over so many decades and now it's all gone. Nothing is forever, so I think it will help if we all quit worrying so much and live in the moment as much as we can.
Hey Jed! Surprised to get a notification from your channel, it's been yeeaarrs! I remember your Astro van and how much you loved it. I loved the tapestry you had hanging in there. Anyways, good to see your face, welcome back and good luck rebuilding your channel!
Yep, still with you. Lol. You were one of the first vanlife channels I subbed to back in the day. I'm glad you're getting back to regularly uploading. 🙂
That is one flaccid house! 😂🤣 Good on you for making sure someone was aware that the church door was damaged. Carrying a simple battery powered drill with a selection of screws is never a bad idea.
@@IntoTheMystery13 That would be awesome !! 👍 Rebelution is putting on a concert this August in Avila Beach ! You should come ! Open air concert next to the ocean !! Can't beat it !!
Ah Vernonia! Indeed a small mountain town. I grew up on the outskirts. Super cool to see my old town. If you drive through again definitely check out the abandoned mill pond area. Some of the mill is still standing and it’s spray painted. There’s some pretty nice art in there, my favorite being a girl on a swing. If you go further back there’s even more buildings but most are run to the ground. Not sure if it’s still standing but there’s an area back there that had wood bridges connecting stone platforms and a pretty sick stick fort. I spent many days after school in the forest amongst the rubble burning the fern out of monster cans haha
You know, it's interesting what you said about how living on the road forces you to not stay in bed for extended periods. And as you also noted, when you're on the road you actually have to **do** stuff every day. I know a couple of people who could probably benefit from a long solo road-trip. I'm glad it's working for you ;-) Nice video! It's cool seeing those old houses, and the ruins of that mill. But it reminds us that nothing made by man (especially anything made out of wood) is permanent. Ashes to ashes. (Oh, and although I'm afraid of heights too, I still would've had to walk out to the center of that first bridge and pee into the stream below. I'm surprised you didn't. It's a guy thing.)
I have treatment for decades for depression and it works well: medication. It's always good do non-pharmaceutical intervention such as exercise regularly. There is consistent scientific evidence of high quality showing is significantly improves moderate depression. I have been exercising for many health reasons and just got my blood pressure down to normal without medication, first time in several decades. I brought it down mostly with a whole food-plant based diet years ago but it was still stage 1 hypertension, which is usually not treated by doctors at that level. I still want it optimal. It helps control weight, also.
BRO you are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Call me a nut job, but allergies are from a spirit ! I used to have to take so much medicine for that, ridiculous amount just to not be sick, and bound the spirit, I have never had them again ! They have tried to come back, bad pressure, itchy watery eyes, but I just bound that spirit, and backed it back off.
Those little towns are cute, but you probably won't be happy. Their lanline internet will be very slow or non-existent. Plan on whatever Elon is asking for Starlink as an extra expense every month. Hope that it works well for you there.
I agree with you about van life helping your mental health my van is my happy place where I always feel secure content and confident
Its good to have a cozy little home, even if its very cozy 😊

There is also a much much bigger potential audience now. Vanlife wasn’t even a term when I started. Now it’s a household word.
I've been following since 2016 so I consider myself part of the 1000 lol
You are definitely OG. Thanks for sticking around.

Just keep re-charging like you're doing now. You will find a way to deal with it. No worries.

This video is so much like the Astro videos, they were the best and the reason most of us followed.

I meant to get my tools in order when I was in town too. I kicked myself a little bit for not doing that, the allergies were really bad though.
Great quality on the vids. Hang in there.
