I have no clue about the game but I love it when you take us along. It's fascinating to witness the sport, the crowds, your commentary, the atmosphere and the food! Cheers Adam.
It was AWESOME for the player to toss y'all loyal fans the ball in well deserved appreciation! The way he laughed like a thrilled kid choked me up! PRICELESS moments for your boys only Chi Town baseball trip! Fun to watch male bonding at it's finest! The seats y'all had can NOT be beat! Surely you made it on tape!! You all will be a part of history! Well worth enduring the harsh elements....or so i hope! This makes me want to do this with my girls!
Trivia - White Sox Groundskeeper Roger Bossard is called the “Sodfather” and is one of the most influential groundskeepers in MLB. He patented a drainage system that us used in many MLB stadiums and other stadiums throughout the world.
And he's still out there every game grooming the dirt or spraying the hose. He took over for his father in the 80s who was the grounds keeper since 1940. I remember when they took the dirt across the street to the "new" park.
In 1985 or 86, me and buddy went to Chicago to see my Tigers vs the Sox at the old Comiskey. We drove right by it the first time my friend said there it is. I said no way is that a MLB park it was in such bad shape. It looked terrible. The paint was peeling off it is was dirty. Looks can be deceiving we went to the Friday, Saturday, Sunday game and really enjoyed ourselves. The stadium had a lot of character. We were sitting in center field and Kirk Gibson hit a home run right at me. He hit it so hard I could actually hear it coming at me. Great trip!
America is Baseball and apple pie, my Dad and "our" uncle George (from Buffalo New York) promoted games in which the Legendary Satchel Leroy Paige pitched cousin Jim liked the SoX, Uncle George was a baseball team manager in Iowa gotta love the best. Super video thanks Adam.
Very nice job showing the game and great seats! I have been to both the old Comiskey, where I saw Nolan Ryan of the Rangers throwing a football around to loosen up his arm, and have been to the newer stadium. But if you are going to see a game in Chicago, definitely check out Wrigley Field, which is like stepping back in time, just like Fenway.
Been a fan of yours for years……. I still watch your video’s so you can imagine the surprise when I seen that your in town Chicago! And at my Fav sports team the White Sox stadium.. lol Would be awesome to run randomly come across your path while you’re here, enjoy!
That was so much fun. Well, I have to say, even though Baseball is not my thing, I will be rooting for Tampa from now on because they have three of the coolest fans. I did miss the cow bell though. 😍
Great video, Adam! I really like the combination of Tampa Jay , "CowBell" Max and you at the Rays' game...it's an awesome dynamic! It would be entertaining/interesting if "Cowbell" Max brought his cowbell to the game and cheered on the Rays to see the players' reactions...I bet they'd love it! Yes, please film the next game...I love these baseball vlogs!!
Though i have not back to Chicago in years.... When i lived there and went to any game anywhere a cow bell, air horn, any kind of noise maker was not allowed in the park.
3:16 properly named as well the Windy City for no reason😭😭😂😂😂🎯👈💯✌😁 Use to be called Cellar Field before this name and original (from when I was young or when I first heard it was the old Comiskey Park..woowoo!!!) Ok..I most definitely give this a 9 out of 10 on the day for sure..I take a half off for the rain and for the Rays losing..lol..I needed for you all to beat the Sox's..lol..but obviously my first comment was me commenting before I watched and this is me commenting after... And was extra impressed that you nailed all the extra points on the history and all..I do have to say that at the end I give u 10 out of 10 for sticking around to do your out trow there..that is a pretty rough neighborhood 1000% ...doesn't bother me to much but all and all it is pretty crazy down there.. U had the cold going for ya..had that been like May or June when it first gets warm and u where there... U might of done the Out trow at the hotel and all..lol..but especially in July and August it is popping over there and I am not even talking about the Sox fans just the activity in the hood over there..would of heard them gun shots popping and way more sirens for sure.. Js..keep up on your grind and I Look forward to your next one..definitely enjoyed your content and will be following ya for the foreseeable future for sure!!!💯👈🎯✌😁💜💜💜✨💰✨
Sooooo excited for all of your baseball adventures this season! We’ve been to many games there before watching our Detroit Tigers play the Sox, but haven’t been back since we moved to Florida, so I thoroughly enjoyed today’s vlog! How about that Brett Phillips diving catch in right field!?!?👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Can’t wait to watch the rest of the vlogs from Chicago! Especially the Wrigley Field ones!!!!!
I have been that loud guy. I have also been the Tampa Jay/Adam The Woo quiet guy embarrassed for their loud friend. It changes from game to game. Love that you are giving us baseball content. Love the game and can't wait for what city you go to next.
This was a nice surprise. I always love seeing you and Jay back together. The boys are back in town. I can't wait to watch his video. I'm sorry the Rays lost but, you seemed to have a great time. You should have a Chicago dog while your there. I like you keep people guessing whether you'll do a video or not tomorrow. I think you should, you can mix it up some.
Finally I got caught up on your Chicago videos. I am enjoying them very much. I don't know if I will ever make it to Chicago so this is nice being able to see that area through your vlogs. Keep them coming. As always, be safe and Happy Trails.
I think that was Awesome of you and Tampa Jay to invite Cowbell Max!! Looks like he was having the time of his life Kudos to you guys....Im enjoying these Baseball Vids 👍
Fun fact: Before the state built New Comiskey/US Cellular/Guaranteed Rate, the White Sox threatened to move the team to another city which had just built a new stadium and was looking for a professional baseball team. The city was St. Petersburg, FL. What might have been.
Adam, long time viewer and White Sox season ticket holder. Find the Footlong Comiskey Dog, usually at a stand, those are the traditional Chicago Style Dogs. Oh, and no one respectable calls it Willis Tower, still the Sears. Safe travels, thanks for the great content!!!
It will always be Comiskey in our hearts! ❤My family has a brick in front of the stadium. It would have been so amazing if it made it onto the Daily Woo!
Adam, Love these baseball videos. You and your friends have such a great time. Glad to see you all having so much fun! It is fun to see where you go and what you share. Thankyou👍
Great vlog today! Have a bucket list of baseball stadiums I’d like to see and the White Sox’s stadium is one of them. They are a very classic team that has been around almost since the beginning of the sport. And even though I am a loyal Atlanta Braves fan, I would sure get a piece of merch from every stadium I’d visit…especially the White Sox! Classic logo, classic look. Guaranteed to walk out of there with a fitted cap or pullover with that old school “SOX” logo.
If you are going today, before you enter the stadium the visiting team's batting cages can be seen from the outside if you go to where the bike racks are on the first base side.
Sidenote = So cool to be at a game for Jackie Robinson day! Chicago is great. Keep an out for Hobbs and the lady in white while you're there. I heard he broke the slump, and the clock there. Dig it.
I am loving the Chicago series here!!! This is so awesome to see my favorite creator in my home city!! If you check out the Oak Lawn Patriot Station there’s a monument with a real beam from the World Trade Center!
You need to get out to see a Tampa game here in Seattle on a nice Seattle summer day. Mariners have a really really nice stadium here. I’m originally from Orlando but live outside of Seattle now. You’d enjoy seeing a game here for sure!
Awesome video and seats. It's good to see the baseball crew together again and at an away game. For some reason most of the stadiums up here are named after banks. Like Comerica Park which is Tiger Stadium. To me it will always be Tiger Stadium. I hope you are staying warm. Even here in Michigan the weather is flip flopping. Enjoy the rest of your trip and stay safe and warm.
Was Comerica Park called Tiger Stadium at first? I ran the bases at the original Tiger Stadium when only the grandstand behind the bases still stood. Nice to see they kept the flagpole in the new park it's become.
As a fellow onion lover, I am patiently waiting for your next indulgence to be captured on camera! My favorite are A&W onion rings. 💖 Any others have favorites?

Love all the baseball video :) we are Red's fans in my family thanks to my gramdpa ❤fun fact : He played for the Cardinals for a short time in the 40's.
I'm only a couple minutes in, but thought I would mention that the structure behind you, by old home plate, with the ramps across the street was built with a curve that mocks the original Comiskey Park. Not many people know that. It was the first big ballpark of its kind, nicknamed the baseball palace of the world. And it was. Oh and uhh, we don't call it Guaranteed Rate Field. It's just "Sox Park". As a Rays fan who lives in Ohio I love that you film the rays games you go to. Makes me feel like I’m there. The rays play in Cleveland in September and I will be going. I recommend you visit progressive field sometime. It’s a really nice ballpark with a lot a unique food options.
HEY ATW... I'VE BEEN LISTENING CLOSE TO YOUR COLOR COMMENTARY'S and I'm praying The Rays are too. You are sounding amazing. I wanted to hear you say "Got a little souvenir" when Cowbell Kid got that ball! Sorry about the "Chicago Dog"! I guess it means the way Chicagoans fix up their dogs! Glad to see TAMPA JAY made it to the game!!
I don’t think Jackie Robinson played there because he spent his career in the National League. He of course played many times at Wrigley Field. But there was no interleague play in those years except for the World Series and All-Star Games. The Dodgers did play the White Sox in the 1959 World Series, but Robinson‘s last year was 1956. The first All-Star game meanwhile was at Comiskey Park in 1933, the brainchild of Chicago Tribune sports editor Arch Ward, as part of the 1933 World’s Fair. That was of course before Robinson broke the color line in 1947, and the All-Star Game didn’t return to Comiskey Park until the 50th anniversary game in 1983.
The All-Star game was played at Comiskey in 1950 and Robinson batted fourth that game, so he did play there. He also played there as a member of the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro League in 1945. Comiskey was the home park of the Chicago American Giants
Adam check out Galloping Ghost arcade in Brookfield, IL. 800+ arcade cabinets! It's a blast from the past
