Nice video man! Ive been lookin for a new shifter arm brass washer. And i cant find it anywhere? I bought a quicksilver shiftcable set, with the arm, cable and bellow. And i only find this little plastic thing in the set. I was thinkin this was going to be in the old brass socket, but it doesnt fit so idk where i should get a New brass washer like u got in this video. I need a New sealer cuz the old one is just a ring left 🙈

There’s milky oil in my driveshaft bellows. What’s odd is I drained my lower unit the day before and the oil was black, not milky. So I don’t think it’s coming from the gearbox. Is it possible the ripped bellows allowed water to wash the grease out of the u joints and created the milky mess? Or is my input shaft seal definitely leaking. Thanks.

Drain and pressure test drive. Likely a failing carrier seal from your description

@@tedsmarinerepair8956 I think it’s actually the seal that rides on the driveshaft yoke

@@FBIsurveillance62 it’s the seal and yoke on the input shaft of your gearbox. Both need to be replaced

Thanks so much for your very through and easy to understand step by step video guide. The special tools you made are also a huge plus. I removed my outdrive during winterization after moving from FL to SC and saw some bellows issues. I noe feel very confident with taking on a complete outdrive servicing. Here is my boat ruclips.net/video/lo8h5IyR7KI/видео.htmlsi=E19To-IhDEliO6jQ. THANKS AGAIN!!!
