- When I sat down with Star Chebet, I had no doubt that she was about to bring us beautiful energy.
But young girl has also gone through a lot.
When she came out and told people she was admitted in a mental institute, Some made fun of her, but they did not know that she was still in her grieving journey and she needed to rebuild her life.
Today she walks us through the details of how one can be famous but broken on the inside, how she survived the times and where she finds her peace

Dear Chebet,
I hope this message finds you in a moment of peace, or at least a brief respite from the heavy weight of grief. I cannot pretend to fully understand the depth of the pain you're experiencing, but I want you to know that I am here for you, even if just through words.
Losing a mother is an indescribable loss, a void that seems impossible to fill. I lost my only child too, and that experience took me to a place I never thought I'd go. But amidst the darkness, I found solace in cherishing the years we had together rather than fixating on the day he left.
God blessed me with those 19 years, and I believe He blessed you with the time you had with your mother as well. Though her physical presence may be absent, her love, wisdom, and influence will forever be imprinted in everything you do. Every decision, every achievement, and every obstacle overcome will carry a piece of her spirit.
It's okay to grieve, to mourn the plans and dreams that will never come to fruition. However, I encourage you to also celebrate the countless moments you shared, the lessons learned, and the love that continues to bind you two together. In each step you take, remember that your mother's legacy lives on through you.
I want you to know that you're not alone on this journey. While I can't replace your mother, I am here to offer support, understanding, and a listening ear whenever you need it. So, if you feel comfortable, you can call me "Mummy" because, in the sisterhood of shared pain, we become maternal figures to one another.
Let's navigate this challenging path together, honoring the memories of our loved ones and finding strength in the love that remains.

Went to primary school with her, and she's the one person I'd never forget. Esther Chebet would siing!! I remember those Rose Muhando songs she'd present in church and it was powerful. She'd also present skits and she'd act soo well and she was confident and brilliant and so tiny😄... I remember her mum too which makes me sad to hear what she's gone through. She was like two classes ahead of me but I'd talk about her a lot to my siblings when I went back home and we'd re-enact some of her skits. (Good times). You're a true artist and all the best in your process.

I’m so glad Lynn has picked this story. Honestly, Chebet made me cry for someone I have never met or even personally known when she talked about her struggles on one of her posts. I have been following her for a while, simply because her personality so bubbly and infectious, and she’s also so gorgeous and talented. I however have always had a very deep discernment about people’s inner struggles, and I had sensed for a while that she had a lot of heavy stuff she was carrying. I really admire her for being authentic and fearless enough to speak up for herself and opening that door for people to actually broaching these subjects around family systems, rejection, and childhood traumas, and how they affect the adult child’s existence in adulthood and beyond. Hang in there Chebet, your star is only beginning to rise, it will shine so bright such that it will burn all that trauma and help you rise like the proverbial phoenix! God Speed.❤
When a human being has encountered deep , devastating grief & conquered it completely; they possess a certain understanding of life that we only get when it is too late. They will narrate to you their experiences with a genuine smile & happiness because they know what is; what was & what will be. This Queen has told her life story with a smile on her mouth and eyes. Not once did I see sadness on her bwautiful face as she narrated the good and the bad. But if you see Lynn's face you see when smiles when she is sad. Star Chebet I salute you. Lynn, today's show is full of wisdom, contentment and spirituality at its best. Spirituality and self-discovery are the best medicine for our mental wellness. Finding God from within is the best experience one can ever have. I have tried it before and todate I have never regretted.
Open conversation around mental health Lynn is a game changer. Counselling is not for the sick but for them that wants to live well. Even therapists themselves go for regular personal therapy. Never bother what people say about you . Be contented with who you are and how you feel about yourself. Ignore those who like judging other people.
Lynn, this is an incredible girl, I may say. Loss is a very hard episode to process, but with her awesome courage and will to surmount the challenges, I am certain she will conquer. Loss takes long to process, but doable.
Because of your show Lynn, and your act of benevolence, I have offfered Chebet 5 pro bono counselling sessions incase she is interested. You have done so many incredible and priceless things to society yourself. I also feel a desire to extend a hand of support to one of your guests at no cost.

My child almost had a breakdown when I was hospitalized for the first time with Covid in 2020 for 2 weeks looking like I was not going to make it and ended up hospitalized too.
Glory to God we both came out of it.

If you haven't lost a loved one, thank the Lord and keep living. I lost my mother in-law in 2018(a wonderful mum)2019 my niece, 2020 my niece(my sister daughter) who was like my siz,2021 my sister and 2022 my sister again. Let me tell you depression was killing by then. The therapy seasons, God and my bible is want saved me from being admitted in a mental facility. Wishing you the best.

He unfortunately passed just 5 months after getting my permanent residence in Canada. Like Chebet I feel guilty that I couldn't bring him to visit Canada. Yes, you don’t even have anyone to tell your problems yet everyone come with their problems. Me am tired at this point. And because you’re used to being strong and asking for nothing they think you always have money but it’s just because you re not used to complaining. Am learning to just say I am sorry I can’t and that the truth. God should just restore all first born‘s strength because it’s so exhausting being one.

Chebet, your description of Mum's passing is exactly same us my Dad's 1.5 years ago. He had Kidney failure, went through dialysis, several difficult moments, lack of sleep, unexplained weight lost, unending hiccups. Being in medical field, I saw my Dad die slowly, I saw my mum give up on his treatment and gave us bible examples. One afternoon, after lunch around 3.45pm he rested. He breathed last on my arms. At that moment I had just completed campus, awaiting to graduate. Being in the field for sometime now, I feel like there is something we could have done better. Grieving has been difficult. sometimes I just need to talk about that moment but I don't have someone to tell. I always ask God to give me peace.

Am a first born and it's really hard ...20yrs old but l have alot to work on ....Am taking responsibility of my brother in high-school for his fees and mom also depends on me with a job that earns less than 10k ...and l have to take care of myself too with the family responsibilities it is really hard .....
I used to be paid less than the same amount helped my mum with my other 5siblings I forgot to take care of myself now old no career no job and my siblings and mum turned against me they say I never helped them and now mum is favouring them since they give her more than I do and they now can't do anything I say they tell me that now they are grown and we are equal as we speak now the disrespect became too much now we don't talk or meet

I remember my mom telling me that she`s not coming back to my place after discharge from KNH on Wednesday, she would tell me that she want to go home to rest, believe me you, that same day she was to be discharged and go home was the same day we transferred her body from KNH morgue to Montezuma Kabati. Its true ni kama hawa watu wananjuanga wakienda. i miss her even today from last year August 29

And people should always stop asking people when they are getting married. I have a cousin who is 29yrs the same age as chebet and people keep asking her when she is getting married and this makes me very sad and wondering why people can't mind their own business.
Especially those with childhood traumas, all they need is to heal first. Chances are very high that the marriage won't be healthy with all those traumas.
